I love your tone , i love your guardian guide very well put , entertaining and i went from constantly dying to beating guardian using only 2 or 3 potion which seemed impossible to me before , thanks a lot keep it up!
Compared to previous guardians, this is just on a whole another level... actually makes Vertus look trivial. I've made a mistake of trying to solo this (because I soloed all guardians before him), but when you got aggro all the time, you don't really have enough skills to dodge all his rapid-fire AoEs. Chances are, if you get hit, he'll end up ragdolling you until your CCbreak comes off CD. His AoEs are so quick, as Sharpshooter, any time I gave in to the temptation of shooting more than 1 skill (or worse, try to use Snipe or ultimate), he just tossed me around like a chewing toy. It's also not really adjusted for solo play. I mean, you still get cursed with the red mark and die rapidly because there's nobody with blue mark to dispel you. The barrier also can't be broken in time with just one person, so it's futile to even try this fight solo, unless you're so massively overgeared you can shrug off those 27k+ barrier explosions and red mark degenerating your HP.
Yea I am a paladin and even at 1030 GS I just gave up trying to be clever with him and ate everything using a load of shields because any time you dodge one of his AOE's another was just ready to go 1-2 seconds later, dodge one? better have another move skill too. Glad I saw this guide saying it's well known it's crappy solo because I've never been as sort of "this is broke" as this encounter.
I just got to armored nacrasena and I'm sad to see you haven't uploaded in a while. I'd rather learn the fight myself rather than watching one of the many subpar guides that are out there for this game. Goodluck to you

The biggest issue with lost ark is they expect you to dodge things with next to no tells before they happen. a boss will jump at you or attack you with no warning for what is coming. aoe on the ground heres .5 of a second to react before it hits you and then continues to juggle you.
eh, most of these bosses are pretty easy if you are in a party and are overleveled a bit, but if you are solo its rlly hard or if ur party is the lowest iscore it would probably be difficult. for the most part the bosses havent been that bad tbh

Can someone tell me how to deal with the un-panaceaable red debuff over your head, while soloing? Ticks for a tenth of my life every second and lasts like 25s so I cannot out-heal it with potions.
I tried this boss without a guide for the first time and obviously failed. Second attempt after watching your guide did it the first time being MVP. Thanks!
The health reduction skill he has is completely broken. Edit: So i found out on the internet that you can avoid that health reduction debuff on solo play if you climb ladders up and down. I'm not joking.
The toughest thing about this game to get used to is the very limited view of field. Once the boss gets out of your view, they can literally hit you from off screen where you won't know what's coming. Or the boss can be charging so by the time you get into view to see what he's doing, it may be too late to dodge. And another hilarious one is when one of your teammates run straight at the boss, agggroing him, and does not turn him away from the rest of the team that is also running at it, then I'd get hit by the boss while he's outside of my vision. So I have made a habit to just run in a big circle around the boss whenever he is outside of my vision so to lessen the possibility of getting hit by an attack offscreen.
Here's another bonus tip Nassem! BONUS TIP : Achates will roar when enraged, and you get a stacking ATK DEBUFF which makes your damage BACK INTO TIER ONE !!! Three stack and your damage is back into the 3 digits!!! You cannot cleanse it, and the only way to remove the debuff is to Stagger him as much as possible! Do not save your awakenings or you will lose a lot of damage.
I was debating about if I should put this info in the video, and decided to just stick to staggering him to bring him back to the regular state. I wouldn't use awakening skills because that will be damage wasted... Just focus on staggering him, then when he's knocked out I would use awakening skills! 😄

I swear this bastard is even more annoying than Nacrasena. As a bard I could be having him off screen and he STILL is able to hit me. The hit boxes of quite a few Guardians are broken. One example is Ur'nil. That swipe and it's graphic special effect are 10 yards away from me yet still hit. But enough of my bitchin'. Great video and will give it one more attempt ty :]
not sure if it's just me but Achates in my experience is the only guardian so far that has repeated the same attack 2 or 3 times in a row with no variation in between, eg. breathing white fire at the ground while moving backwards 2 times in a row, and i'm just getting rolled over as well as the attack where he sucks u in with his wings and u have to run away from the massive aoe damage( 3x in a row) is that normal? your guides are very helpful and has saved me alot of frustration learning how to fight them :)
I know these are pretty old, but if you do future ones could you make the pop quiz definitely contain the wipe mechanics? Like in this one the symbols above the head and the fire circle. While maybe not wipe guarantee, they're a lot more important than probably the laser?
@Nassem - One thing I would really like with these guides is the elemental damage they do and the Card strategy. Its generally pretty intuitive as far as what type of damage they do but, I generally do -5% boss damage (2 set) and 2x element resist sets (4 set or 2x 2sets). So, in the case of the Fox, I would use Fire resists for 16% resist and -5% boss which adds a lot of defense. Not sure what type of damage Achedes does? Is it Holy Damage?
This isn't a bad idea...but I don't want to introduce cards for new players. To be honest, the only two card sets that are really important are are only useful super late game (Legion raids). The cards I would recommend to new players are general sets that give you more HP or better potion efficiency ones. 😄 Thanks for the great opinion though!
when 80 effects just in my little space made it hard to see where each color fell, let alone picking up that one, annoying enough. but getting it, not getting nocked back, then sitting in front of the boss, spamming Q, and it not throwing until like 3+ seconds later......#triggered. of course in all that there was always a chance that they changed color by the time i got one. which i suppose is more sad of me, but yea. sometimes this game can make even something simple annoying.

Thats only t1 and t2 bosses thats why they wsnts everyone to get to t3 it’s easier lol
