"Persona turned it into an old, possessed car" Poor Raidou, being pushed to the wayside and just assumed it's another Persona... No disrespect on the Persona games, of course, but Oboroguruma (the car demon) only appears in the Raidou games, and those aren't part of the Persona series, just another sub-series under the MegaTen label. Not that I can expect people who aren't fans of the series to really know that honestly lol.
It was really interesting that this evolution line was located in paldea for the popularity for the bikes, i always thought that they put them in there was only because spain created the first engine that can work with water.
I haven't had the chance to see the shiny variant of this Pokémon but I sincerely hope it's red to reference Stephen King's "Christine": a bright red living car that does the murder
5:11 carbon monoxide is the primary deadly component of exhaust and I’m not sure I would call it poisonous; it kills by displacing oxygen in the lungs in a manner resembling drowning
How much you wanna bet that Palworld will one day make Tsukumogami Pals that are basically Possessed D1ldos, Fleshl1ghts, Guns, Discarded Drug Apparatuses, etc.?
People need to stop bagging on Kelfkey. Folk tales used to blame fairies for stealing/moving keys, kelfkey is a fairy that steals keys and looks like a keyring. There is more than 1 stop on this train of thought.
GF could make a group of fossil fuel-based Pokémon to fit alongside the pollution Pokémon. They already have the Rolycoly line so how about a Grass/Rock fossil Pokemon, a Rock/Poison oil Pokémon or a Timburr convergent/regional variant based on oil mining.
If what those origins are saying were true........... Then maybe we'll put Varoom and Revaroom on every type that are, of course, other than Fire, Dark, Poison, Fighting, and Fairy.
Gotta love these videos explaining the lore behind the pokemon, definitely shows how much thought is in the pokemon now. Rather than just animals or objects mixed with a few things sometimes
Oh, the first steel/poison type is a car? Welp, I guess that means it can't have levitate. That's disappointing but at least it makes sen- *flies in game* WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
Well, it looks like it proves Mikey can't use Varoom for Team Sky's takeover of Paldea, but it's now fair game for Team Quark Drive to use when we take over Paldea!
I believe that "Dekatora/Decorated" Revavrooms could be also loosely based on parade floats that appear during various events in Spain (like Easter for example)
Me, sees Nexomon Arctivore: :D Also me with Nexomon being labeled a Pokemon clone: :( (But Arctivore being a edgy wolf 'mon is somewhat fair, especially its revived version in Extinction jacking it up to 11)
Don't be so suprised, they made a Pokemon based on a brick wall in Sun and Moon and everyone made Trump/Wall jokes especially with Yungoos. And also surprised they never did a British taxi Pokemon for the Galar region ('ello govenor'), they have food based Pokemon too (if they did a gingerbread man one based on either an actual gingerbread man or the fairytale, that would be cute).
Dude, I think you misunderstand what they mean by "poisonous fumes" if you're going to use that car death method and then say "yet we shoot it into the atmosphere like it's no big deal".... BECAUSE IT ISN"T!! You breath OUT the thing that it shoots out. Dry Ice is MADE OF the stuff. Now, mind you "Monoxide" is a type of poison, but that's for a slightly different reason than Carbon Dioxide. You need Oxygen to live, when the room is filled with gasses other than Oxygen (such as CO2), your body will be lacking IN that precious oxygen, thus will die of "Carbon Dioxide Poisoning", which in actuality is "Oxygen Depravation".
You know what your Teen Pokémon game needs? That Ninjask/Shedinja. A wheel Pokémon that as you travel with it, runs over another Pokémon, and then following after the wheel evolves, and you get the new one if you have room and a ball.
It's almost like the world of Pokemon is inhabited by monsters and not typical ecology. I really think Pokemon could have went in a very different direction early on if it hadn't just tried to completely replace almost the entire animal Kingdom with Pokemon and instead actually let Pokemon be monsters independent of normal animals. Nah the object mon haters would still whine like babies
I have had a theory that Varoom was created by a Ghastly or Haunter possessing a car engine and getting stuck or something. Cause it even has the tongue that’s so important to the line. And just like how Rotom is Electric/Ghost and loses the Ghost type for whatever type the object it possesses gives it, it became a Poison/Steel type.
At first I wasn't too keen on the idea of a car engine Pokémon, but after seeing them in game and learning more about them, I actually really like Varoom and Revavroom now.
Years ago, one of my family cats got out and hid in my father's suberban's engine compartment, and we ended up driving around town to find him just for my mother to hear meowing while we were driving (and we were driving for a while) He was fine, and my family and I had a simultaneous sigh of relief and little bit of a laugh
Varoom just appeared in the anime, and when I saw the possession pokedex I immediately thought of Pecharunt. That'd remove the idea of a pokemon dying to posses it since Pecharunt is a ghost, but it'd be kinda cool if that was forshadowing for the local mythical.
Ok, 20 seconds in, and there's a Fossil Fighters mention which, Y E S...but I will NOT accept Andrarch (Andrewsarchus) slander. That Vivosaur is the GOAT. Also the reason why it looks more like a canid than what it actually is (a Cetancodontamorph) is that its design is more based on more classical and dated depictions of the animal as a Mesonychian (a group of carnivorous artiodactyls) so...yeah, there's that.
heres another thing about torque. therre is a thing known as torque steer. its when a vehicle pulls to one side because of the power then engine is putting out to the wheels.

I curious tho as to of it's shiny color variant as it is gold, perhaps much like shiny Pokemon to be rare automobiles are very rare too maybe!
Also could you imagine if Gamefreak were to sell toys of Revavroom like they were Hot Wheel cars! They would make a ton of money with that idea of merch.
“Revavroom wants to learn Wicked Noxious Blazing Magical Combat Torque!” It’s an Omni-type move that’s 4x super-effective on just everything.
I love using this guy competitively. Filter + Air Balloon + Shift Gear + newly introduced, quite solid typing = loads of fun
It’s gold

5:11 carbon monoxide is the primary deadly component of exhaust and I’m not sure I would call it poisonous; it kills by displacing oxygen in the lungs in a manner resembling drowning
I nicknamed mine 88mph it carried my team in Scarlet.
How much you wanna bet that Palworld will one day make Tsukumogami Pals that are basically Possessed D1ldos, Fleshl1ghts, Guns, Discarded Drug Apparatuses, etc.?
I'm the #1 objectmon fan, I love that you can go so in depth with them! Love your videos, I learn something new every time
People need to stop bagging on Kelfkey. Folk tales used to blame fairies for stealing/moving keys, kelfkey is a fairy that steals keys and looks like a keyring. There is more than 1 stop on this train of thought.
8:34 he is on a sussy website on the phone lol
That's disappointing but at least it makes sen-
*flies in game*
WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
And it still doesn't have levitate
Well, it looks like it proves Mikey can't use Varoom for Team Sky's takeover of Paldea, but it's now fair game for Team Quark Drive to use when we take over Paldea!
I believe that "Dekatora/Decorated" Revavrooms could be also loosely based on parade floats that appear during various events in Spain (like Easter for example)
Why does this thing hover in the air in the games? Shouldn’t it be, you know, on the ground
Me, sees Nexomon Arctivore: :D
Also me with Nexomon being labeled a Pokemon clone: :(
(But Arctivore being a edgy wolf 'mon is somewhat fair, especially its revived version in Extinction jacking it up to 11)
I hope in Gen 10 we get a Steel/Electric variant inspired by EV motors.
I don't dislike object Pokemon.
I just HATE Vanillish and Vanilluxe.
0:24 Honestly describing electrode as "pokeball but upside-down" would be funnier.
Sure would be cool if we could make our own starmobiles
Honestly, not mentioning Spectrobes in the "other pokemon clones" segment, smh.
pokemon making a cool turtle pokemon. lockstin: time for an over an hour long video idea! and we all still watch all of it
The starmobiles being named after the stars in the Cassiopeia constellation is a pretty cool bit of trivia
Don't be so suprised, they made a Pokemon based on a brick wall in Sun and Moon and everyone made Trump/Wall jokes especially with Yungoos. And also surprised they never did a British taxi Pokemon for the Galar region ('ello govenor'), they have food based Pokemon too (if they did a gingerbread man one based on either an actual gingerbread man or the fairytale, that would be cute).
i could see its first stage being a normal cookie with a face
12:25, why, oh why, does a Neo-Spacian Pokemon exist?
He is always like that, sometimes he just can't help but insert some surface-level "social critic" that is completly unrelated to the actual topic
You know what your Teen Pokémon game needs? That Ninjask/Shedinja.
A wheel Pokémon that as you travel with it, runs over another Pokémon, and then following after the wheel evolves, and you get the new one if you have room and a ball.
Wait, what if they get a starmobile-like mega evolution?
I wish it had Speed Boost. Imagine how good it would br.
I think the Fighting Starmobile one had it
It's almost like the world of Pokemon is inhabited by monsters and not typical ecology. I really think Pokemon could have went in a very different direction early on if it hadn't just tried to completely replace almost the entire animal Kingdom with Pokemon and instead actually let Pokemon be monsters independent of normal animals. Nah the object mon haters would still whine like babies
Good he dropped a video. Wasn’t like I was sitting here rewatching old videos with “Solgaleo eating the sun” promos or anything like that…
I have had a theory that Varoom was created by a Ghastly or Haunter possessing a car engine and getting stuck or something.
Devil Summoner being called Persona had all the energy of a mom calling any pokemon "Pikachu"
Years ago, one of my family cats got out and hid in my father's suberban's engine compartment, and we ended up driving around town to find him just for my mother to hear meowing while we were driving (and we were driving for a while)
He was fine, and my family and I had a simultaneous sigh of relief and little bit of a laugh
Varoom just appeared in the anime, and when I saw the possession pokedex I immediately thought of Pecharunt. That'd remove the idea of a pokemon dying to posses it since Pecharunt is a ghost, but it'd be kinda cool if that was forshadowing for the local mythical.
Revavrooms my favourite gen 9 pokemon, it looks really cool to me. Hearing that it's a revanent yokai made me love it even more
Digimon isnt a Pokémon clone. Personally i think it's better.
Saying Andrewsarchus is a wolf… no, just no.
D-did you just say digimon is a pokemon clone?
This video made me actually sit and look at Varoom for an extended period of time, and I've gotta admit, it's actually kind of cute. Who knew?
this has my 2nd favorite lockstin intro only outclassed by "bow wow sniff bork yip"
I honestly just love Revaroom. As soon as i saw the line i fell in love with it. Solid af shiny form to!
heres another thing about torque. therre is a thing known as torque steer. its when a vehicle pulls to one side because of the power then engine is putting out to the wheels.
"WICKED NOXIOUS BLAZING MAGICAL COMBAT TORQUE!"
All great fighters call out their finishing moves!
I think they more craggy appearance they gave to Varoom and Revaroom really works and didn’t make them look as ridiculous as they definitely could’ve been
These two Pokemon were so over the top that I loved them. I did pick one for my playthrough. They look as if Slimer from Ghostbusters posseded an engine, lol.
Having trainers dress their ace pokemon up to make them look awesome is such a hilarious idea, I hope they do it more lol
