I think as a Baystars fan I can see the season as a success. Getting over the hump of going out in the first round. Their only option I think is to try and outhit them. Which will be hard. Just need to do what we can. Go out with our head held high and look at getting some solid pitching in the offseason and give it another crack next year with everyone back healthy. (Also please no Kajiwara lead off. I know the options are limited but its pain everytime he bats leadoff)
I love watching the Baystars and my heart is certainly with them, but I think it is too big of a hill to climb in this series. If they still had Bauer this year, I think that would have made them such a better team, but you make do with what you have! I am really happy that they beat Hanshin and feel good about what they did this season no matter how it turns out. 😊

Update: Turns out Toshiro Miyazaki actually made it in time for the series! Huge boost for the BayStars.

Update…Yokohama has won the first 2 games and The Giants have only scored once
Kay was solid, but really struggled against the Giants at the end. Hope he can put together a strong start in Game 1 and the bats run up the score.

He was featured in the Baystars' video showing the players practicing for the series with the Giants, so we can be hopeful that he is playing!
