My post build review for the Miniart 1/35 Panzer III Ausf.B, a complex and sometimes complicated build but very rewarding and an incredibly well detailed kit.
Outstanding result. The second MiniArt build report I've watched tonight - enough to know I'm not buying one! Really impressive work, mate - looks great. Cheers.
*Pz III??!!! Yes it is, even if the undercarriage looks like a Pz IV's one! Well done and nice music at the end of the video! 👍*
I totally agree, think you got the colour spot on!
Neat and clean built kit. Well done.
Looks Glorious!!!💯👏👏👏👏🔥
They were more on the feild grey/green believe it or not! Looks absolutely nothing like the panzer grey we all do our model's like even myself! But have managed to get the somewhat the correct shade and will be using it on my panzer 3 D/B kit! If you have ever seen the interior shade of grey they used in the early stugs and Tiger's it's that shade ! Tracks were nice! Able to do 7 or 9 to a section you got 2 runs of 96 links
Turned out great!
Great build mate. 👍🏻
amazing video
Good Job 👍👍👍👍
Nice work Jason ;)
Good model but I would like to see how a model of yours turns once you do a heavy weathering on it, as if it has been through some battles and through the war so that it was really beat up vehicle
Great review, seems that figures included in a lot of kit need some form of amputation to get them to fit, just removed the Airfix pilots feet to fit in the Hurricane. Not that he will be needing them. 🤣
I've drawn out the mantlet of these tanks and I can see that Miniart's one is a little "off"... the two solid bars of the "cage" are too thin. Probably they were looking at photos of the 30mm (Ausf.E) mantlet, not realising that the 15mm mantlet had different spacings.
As a result, the main gun in this kit is about 1mm to the left of its true position.
Now, if we switch from "small mistakes" to "insanely big mistakes" : the Panzer III did not have a turret floor. The literature clearly says so. I can't guess why Miniart put a floor in this kit.
Considering this is not the interrior kit, turret floor is not a problem at all. Just dont glue it. Tank is empty aniway.
Glad to see you have got some time off from work, nice build. Is it me , or do some of the road wheels have "smiley faces"?
Another really enjoyable video Jason. Can you tell me what the music is that you use to accompany your videos please. Cheers
1:26 ... nearly said fuselage!! Signs of model mania, a diagnosable condition.
👌
I am an intermediate model maker and I ask you for advice please. Is this Miniart tank very difficult to build? I mean the tracks which are the hardest part to do? Thanks a lot and good evening
The tracks are worse than difficult, more like ridiculous
Tracks are trully unbuildable.
Dude,ur Aircraft look pretty nice but ur Tanks....not even close. The Rust on the Exhaust, the Tow Cable all just silver, the Jack,a flat black Mg,not a single Chip or Scratch, looks boring and uninspired, cmon u can do better then that.Build a Tank like it would be an Aircraft and they will look 1000% better.
Thanks, all in the learning mate. Built this one in my own lockdown in Febuary before lockdowns were even a thing! Not a serious effort and if you really want to go for it there should be the low contrast brown camouflage added too! 👍
