The Eray is priced very well. You factor in the Z06 gas tax($2.5k) the standard Brembo brakes on the Eray($8.5k option on Z06), and the base price of over $5k higher on the Z06, you’re saving $16k, with very comprable performance/looks. The Z06 sounds sweet, however, the Eray has a sweet sound as well. With the $16k savings, over the Z06, I’m purchasing the HTC, 3LZ interior, front nose lift, and other goodies. Any C8 is a pleasure. I currently own a C7 Z06. It's awesome. I'm not even looking for a C8 yet, but if I had to I'm torn. I like the acceleration of the E-Ray (and around own drivability), but I love the sound of the flat plane crank Z06. I guess I'm glad I don't have to decide right now! Thanks for the video!
Put a twin turbo on the E-Ray and become a mid to 9 second street car! Several dealers on RUclips have videos on this. ETS has a LT2 C8 going 8.64 @170+....How much more does one need?
@adamnarbeaux5898 it will never be as good as Z06. It is just a louder, noisy American muscle type of sound. If I spend $4k extra for the exhaust, I would spend on z06 instead. The titanium exhaust sound on z06 is phenomenal and unbeatable.

I can tell you that no matter how hard you try, it is not going to change the value of the eray. Z06 is the car that people would like to keep while eray will be forgotten. Most people will dump it before the warranty expires. I can see the Eray is for the old folks like you. You can keep the eray and good luck with it. Great review. As a longtime Vette owner, I wanted to get a C8, especially the Eray, but for me the interior is too tight (seats in hip and side bolsters, head room, and the seats do not go down far enough). Unless the C8 interior redesign (2026?) gives me more room, I'll keep my C7 2019 GS.
The eray won't last for long. Extremely low demand and it's a 1 trick pony. It's pretty much the same price as the Z06, but the value proposition doesn't exist over the Stingray.
@corystansbury it's good at acceleration. That's about it. When it comes to a turn, you feel the weight upfront and the entire platform is hindered. 7 seconds slower around VIR than the Z06, and it isn't due to power or corner exit drive. It just handles like a freight train in comparison.
So that means Eray is not as fun to drive compare to z06 or Lambo those type of super cars. Eray is just a faster Stringray with AWD capability. Zora will be much better.

That's unacceptable. 5) engines sound worse than z06 6) Drive like a Stingray at traffic or low speed. 7) EV only mode range is only about 3 to 4 miles 9) Electric motor stop at 120mph 10) Electric battery is not big enough to complete a full lap on big track 11) Resell value may not be as great 12) LT2 Engine is not as special as LT6 13) 300lb heavier 14) Protential repair cost may be high after the warranty expires 15) Stealth mode is unavailable if the weather is below 50 degrees 16) It's still slower than Turbo S or Plaid

I wished Eray comes with Stringray body and have a lower price point close to Stringray. Then make one named EZ06 or whatever to use LT6 with an electric motor hybrid setup. Then, to improve all the drawbacks from eray. It will be the perfect car that most of us will get. Hopefully, we can see it with the c9 generation.

In the next 5 to 10 years Corvette is going to be Hybrid/EV only. They already have teased the Zora, their second hybrid.
