I was really interested in buying tata tiago XZ variant but many ppl r strongly against tata cars..few of them had bought tata cars in the past (maybe 5 to 7) years back and had really bad experiences.they say tata cars keep giving problems again n again n u have to keep running to the service centre.so I am really confused to buy it or not..plz help
The Tiago embraces the Designext language pretty well and there are no underpinnings .Tata has developed all-new engines for the Tiago-1.2l Revotron and 1.05l Revotorq. At a price tag of INR 5.8 lacs ex-showroom , the Tiago is significantly affordable. It's clearly the best Tata we’ve seen, and at the price, a sensible buy.
Reliability of which car is best.......if talked about Maruti Celerio and Tata Tiago. Please suggest me, because i wanted to buy a new car, and i am confused b/w thess two cars.... Please help😊
I asked few people they said that Tata's build quality is not that good so don't buy Tata Car, but I liked Tiago because of its design and features. Should I go for Tiago?
People will always advise for maritu suzuki cars ..especially Indian people...they don't bother safety, comfort and always thinks about cheap maintenance.... Tiago feels so much premium, awesome build quality and great comfort...
there is not even one auto expert is saying something bad about tiago, its a superb car in its segment & even it can compete with higher segment cars . now only work tata motors have is to look at good dealership & train the existing ones to give good service.& tata should launch kite 5 as early as possible
3 adults can sit in Tiago comfortably. Being a 3 cylinder engine the motor is not that refined, the noise and vibration does filter in the cabin a bit but it is tolerable.
Hari Haran i bought it around 5 months back. three healthy persons can fit easily even comfortable then swift. 3 cylinder is not creating any kind of problem ..this car has 3 cylinder but with a big bore.....dont wrry bro its a price worth car.... Give a chance to tata....tata has change itself.....
Its always a common thing that no one will recommend a tata in any segment. The only reason is because of the their past experience that's been made by an indica and tata sumo.About indica by 2003,there's no car in india with ample space, good and practical looks, good to drive, have some good economy and a diesel engine. We all needs all these things, but can only pay some 3 lakhs as max only since we all are indians. For a company by keeping all these points for production, its no surprise that the durablity will be less, and we all do accept that point.
Celerio really?? This taigo car is camparable with swift nd grand i10 clearly tata taigo seems to be a winner here but i don't know about its engine perfomence as bcoz tata cars might sound weird after a year
Body coloured AC vents are part of a personalization package that costs extra. It will need to be opted for at the dealer level and yes, XT does have body coloured ORVMs.
+Gopinath Anil The claimed mileage is of about 27.3 KMPL on highways for diesel and 23.8 KMPL on highways in petrol. It is good to commute to office daily. The features are outstanding with a lower price tag it is worth buying.
The worst buying experience or extremely painful experience with Tata Motors...!!! Taking advance from customer, forced customer to get loan...customer submit the loan approval letter..then customer hand over the bank cheque of the loan amount and the rest of amount also to the dealer but the tragedy is that there is no integrated communication between Tata Motors Management - The Dealer - & The Customer. Customer do lot of follow up with dealer - with Tata motors head office mumbai - & the person handling to those dealer but - NO CERTAINTY OF THE DELIVERY TIME. Nice car - worst management.
Well, In case of lower segments "Maruti" might lack basic automated features, but It is the 1st and the oldest one to give the best fuel economical ,low maintainable and good quality engines to the Indian Market. +pardeep pawar If we talk about Celerio AMT, on a budget and in the market for an automatic, you just don’t have another option to choose from. It also delivers well on space and comfort and is fun to drive as a nimble hatchback. Above all, it delivers better mileage than its manual counterpart. The AMT is slow and jerky agreed, but it still makes driving in our perennially clogged city roads easier on the driver. The Celerio AMT is the need of the hour for an urban Indian commuter and a decent overall car otherwise. On the other hand, the dharma of an automatic transmission is to make daily city commutes hassle-free. The Tiago's AMT fulfils its duty but in an unyielding manner and dictates the way it should be driven, forcing you to adapt to its calm and composed style. If you can do that, the smooth shifts make it a breeze to drive. But if you are in a hurry, a simple flick will put it in manual mode and turn the lazy Tiago AMT into a fun to drive hatchback. The petrol engine, looks and features are indeed 'Fantastico' but things like the rattling plastics, stiff ride and the fact that you might end up driving in Manual mode after specifically buying an automatic, dampen the experience. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test drive in order to clear your all doubts.
I had that car which resembled Tin Can and is also known as WagonR.. Build quality alone is class apart.. Tiago is way better in every department starting from basic looks & feel, suspension, ride quality and build quality...
Vignesh S I had no problems with ASS after owning it for 1 year. On the contrary I had pretty gud experience. Also I felt that TATA is really focused on providing gud ASS especially for its newer models like TATA Zest.
Celerio is better in terms of reliability, service, brakes, 60:40 seats, resale value, ABS & Airbags optional in all options (tiago gets only airbags in optional variants), cheaper to maintain etc
+Raj Ban If you will be driving around 50-70kms (approx.) a day, we will suggest you to go with diesel car. Otherwise, if your driving will be less then petrol would make more sense. Opting for a AMT is highly recommended for stop-and-go congested city driving & you will be happy with the comfort and convenience in terms of driving.
Celerio is cheaper than tiago and according to smoothness i give 5 rating to celerio because its very smooth to drive people only go for look but the cost of the tiago parts is too high and engine start making sound Ex:- pulsar 135(tiago) and honda Shine 125(celerio)
I do like the simple way Bunny Punia presents the reviews. Else everywhere, when it comes to auto reviews, they always go for rock band music, hot chicks, amazing camera works and ultra stylish communication capabilities. Instead of the actual car review. This guy knows about the practical aspects of uses and presents only the review and nothing else.
I am considering Tiago Petrol but sceptical because 80% of the running will be in the mountains. Since it is a newly developed Petrol engine and Tata is better known for the Diesel, Fiat's though, I really need the advice whether to go for it or wait . Also I will be keeping the car for atleast 5 years. Thx
+Mrinal “r41kk0” KD We would suggest you to go for a diesel if your monthly running is more than 1000 kms otherwise you should opt for petrol. Do not worry about the engine it is good to go with :)
Tata tiago is 1000 times better than celerio . It has bigger engine, space and with best looks. Tata tiago is more than good car in its segment . I have driven both the cars. Tiago is a very good car 👍👍
+govthighschool manjakkollai Tata Tiago was launched in the Indian market last year and Maruti Celerio is available in the market from quite some time. Maruti cars have generally good re-sale value however, Tiago is built on a completely different platform and has managed to be the game changer for Tata. The car is better than Celerio in almost every aspect however, it would be too early to give a judgement on the re-sale value.
+Rahul choudhary The petrol Tiago is a good car to go with considering the features. It feels a bit under powered. However, will be better for daily office drives . The NVH levels are a little on the higher side but are manageable. Over and all it is good car to go with. The diesel variant has an all new Revotorq Engine which experiences a bit of turbo lag, but if you drive it in right gear with right amount of thrust you can achieve better mileage and better output from your Tiago.
detailed comparison with really good video quality.i am agree with u r pick also. tiago actually outshines celerio, alto k10, wagonar,i10,grandi10.just one thing i want to ask, can one adjust driver seat height in celerio?
Tiago is a game changer for this segment. Less price but more in terms of style, engine, features, safety anything. Hats off. A car that does not look like a budget car. Wow
celerio zero safety Tiago is best proud of India made best mileage best price best stability best navigation best Harman sound system best safety ABS EBD corner stability control and airbag cool glove box, follow me headlamp rear wiper, rear sensor ,spoiler many advantages...
Celerio has a 2 cylinder diesel engine, not 3. This is just a spec comparison. Clips are from previous videos. Real world comparison whould have been much better.
After Mistry Cyrus has take over the reigns of TATA, Tata motors has been producing very decent products. But, unless its able to shed the image of Taxi car they will not be able to attract buyers and compete with Maruti. Like Maruti, a they should separate the distribution channel of its premium variants. Second they should be able to offer after sale servicing in a premium outlet. No one wants to rub shoulders with a Cab guy, shabbily dressed when you go for servicing the car. The attitude of the service engineers is also different in such places.
+govthighschool manjakkollai With more powerful engines, less price and almost similar fuel efficiency figures, the Tiago surely is a better value-for-money product than the Celerio. Click on the link to see the detailed comparison. bit.ly/2mzoGTV
I am confused between tata tiago xz (5.5lakh) petrol and Baleno delta petrol(6.6lakh). I will use it in cities only for around 30km per day and sell it after 3 to 5yr. Many people criticized baleno for its material quality and stability while Tiago for its bad resell value and after sell service. So considering resell value after 3 to 5 yr, hassle free ownership and good ride quality and ride experience which one should I buy? Please reply.
+DrAbhas Chandra Dash The Baleno is built on Suzuki’s TECT (Total Effective Control Technology) body structure. This helps in keeping the occupants safe as well as increase pedestrian safety. It also offers good fit and finish compared to any other car in the Maruti portfolio. The car looks beautiful from the outside and isn’t too bad on the inside either. If you want to buy the Baleno because everyone else is, go ahead. It truly is a well-rounded package. We’re glad ABS and dual airbags are standard no matter what variant you choose. Considering the price point, we have to say that the Tiago, is Tata’s best foot forward yet. It does leave you wanting in the performance department but if you are looking for a hatchback that is trendy, has loads of features and ample amount of space, the Tiago fits the bill nicely. Tata Motors has already sold over 1 lakh units of Tiago and this overwhelmed response from the customers can be attributed to the Tiago's strengths like refreshing style, contemporary design, quality interiors, spacious boot and fuel efficient motors. Click on the link to compare both the cars: bit.ly/2nz9HKX Here, considering the fact that re-sale value is in the good books of Maruti, we would suggest you to pick for Baleno & to retain the peace of mind of owning a Maruti Suzuki. We would also suggest you to take a test drive before making a final call.
Maruti is shit compared to the new Tatas I am really eagerly waiting for new Tata Hexa, and Neon, come on Tata at least beat the hell out of this looser brand Maruti objectively and subjectively Sales is another story the bigger Indian pie will always blindly follow Maruti, but the reputation Tata earns out of making such amazing cars makes sure that Tata is light years ahead of Maruti
Your post has a load of pent up frustrations and I share the sentiments too. I had booked the Celerio thrice and cancelled it as I could never come to parting with my money for the car.
Sadly, I have already purchased a new car and this decisions is about a year old now. :) I could not have waited for the Tiago. But if I am going for another small car soon, it is going to be the Tiago for sure.

Yes, Maruti Celerio diesel is powered by a 0.8-litre diesel engine, which comes with a displacement capacity of 793cc. It has been designed with two cylinders that has eight valves.

I am a Tata Safari owner since 2013. It has been the worst mistake I have made in my life. The vehicle has been to the workshop over 50 times in less than 30 months with repairs under warranty to the tune of Rs 2 lacs. I must have lost my sanity temporarily when I chose to buy this car. I would not recommend this car to even my worst enemy. After sale service is pathetic as well. STAY AWAY. PERIOD!

ussj goku U Right men. I am also confuse about its engine performance after a year
does the XT variant have body coloured rear view mirrors and ac vents.
Body coloured AC vents are part of a personalization package that costs extra. It will need to be opted for at the dealer level and yes, XT does have body coloured ORVMs.
Tata will soon bridge the gap in auto sector with Maruti. 52k vs 42k crore market. Always an investor with tata motors and will continue to be.

Does Revotron XZ with alloywheel has a spare wheel?
Yes, the spare wheel is available in Tata Tiago Revotron XZ.
Sir what is the mileage in Gear for Great challenge ? I heard that at 55 speed it's mileage is 46 kmpl. am I correct sir?
Tiago is clear winner in every aspect. Better if they adopt auto-gearbox also and it would wipe every car in that price segment.
tiago AMT is coming...
Not as long as Tata's improve their after sales service.
IMHO,Automatic is just...Takes away the beauty and soul of driving a car
Celerio is a lousy product, badly engineered with a puny engine. Tiago is a class of its own, be it the features, or the price.
at 4:00 u stated both the cars have a 3 cylinder engine which is not true.
+Sandeep Kutty yes you are right.
Buy tiago,u will never be disappointed by it's performance.

Celerio diesel is a 2cylinder motor , not 3 cylinder as Bunny said in the comparison.
very true, how cardekho can make this kind of mistake. they might it missed on the editing table.
Which is a better performer, Tiago jtp or kwid rxt ? (2018 models)
+Mr. Drunken Soul The Tiago is powered by the JTP 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol motor which delivers 110PS of power at 5,000rpm and 150Nm of peak torque from its three-cylinder setup. on what basis
+Bharath Kumar Ramesh in every thing performance looks features and price
+Kishlay Pathak Space and Ride Quality too.
Agreed
But what about the after sales???
tata has upper hand this time
I had that car which resembled Tin Can and is also known as WagonR.. Build quality alone is class apart.. Tiago is way better in every department starting from basic looks & feel, suspension, ride quality and build quality...
Agreed :)
+CarDekho out of zest diesel or dzire which one to pick?
am planning fr zest. its better than dzire or not.
how about the ASS of Tata motors nowadays which is always a question? I'm confused to go for Tiago just because of this.
Vignesh S I had no problems with ASS after owning it for 1 year. On the contrary I had pretty gud experience. Also I felt that TATA is really focused on providing gud ASS especially for its newer models like TATA Zest.
Wait 3 4 years you will regret
Celerio is better in terms of reliability, service, brakes, 60:40 seats, resale value, ABS & Airbags optional in all options (tiago gets only airbags in optional variants), cheaper to maintain etc
sir , my budget is nearly 6 lac. plz tell me should I buy celerio zxi AMT petrol or tiago xt diesel

I also have the same doubt
Celerio is cheaper than tiago and according to smoothness i give 5 rating to celerio because its very smooth to drive people only go for look but the cost of the tiago parts is too high and engine start making sound

Sir petrol car me Tiago aur Celerio me milage maintenance price ke hisab se konsi gadi book karu
Pelase tell me friends grand I 10 or Tata taigo wich one is better
Obviously Tata Tiago
The ground clearance is 170 only on the top end model of Tiago. There are smaller tyres on lower versions.

Also I will be keeping the car for atleast 5 years.

+Tapan Pal Go for diesel, if you are going to drive a lot or else you can stick with the petrol version.
+Mrinal “r41kk0” KD We would suggest you to go for a diesel if your monthly running is more than 1000 kms otherwise you should opt for petrol. Do not worry about the engine it is good to go with :)
Is the NVH in tiago is more than celerio???
+bijendra verma The Tiago is marginally better.
TIAGO is an excellent product. Kudos to team TATA. what it needs is better marketing and better service & support from showrooms.
Hi, I want to buy car (petrol version). Please suggest between Tata Tiago, Hyundai Grand i10, Wegon R and Swift. What's mileage of Tata Tiago?
Value for money- Tata Tiago and if you wish to have a car with better performance and a 4 cylinder engine then you should go for Grand i10.
wn r thy launching kite 5....
Good to see TATA bringing such a great product
Tata tiago is 1000 times better than celerio . It has bigger engine, space and with best looks. Tata tiago is more than good car in its segment . I have driven both the cars. Tiago is a very good car 👍👍
Never go for celerio the plastic quality is very bad you can go for Tiago it has many features and it's better than celerio believe that
go for celerio its plastic quality is not bad its it better than tiago in terms of reliblity and many otber aspects
Tata Tiago was get trouble in sales service and resale value are low by somebody says it's true or not?..pls give solution..

how u judge the petrol tiago over diesel?
+Rahul choudhary The petrol Tiago is a good car to go with considering the features. It feels a bit under powered. However, will be better for daily office drives . The NVH levels are a little on the higher side but are manageable. Over and all it is good car to go with. The diesel variant has an all new Revotorq Engine which experiences a bit of turbo lag, but if you drive it in right gear with right amount of thrust you can achieve better mileage and better output from your Tiago.
Sir, how u compare it with grand i10 diesel.
what is top speed with 4 people (240 kg) . petrot & diesel
140+
detailed comparison with really good video quality.i am agree with u r pick also. tiago actually outshines celerio, alto k10, wagonar,i10,grandi10.just one thing i want to ask, can one adjust driver seat height in celerio?
no
Yes. But only on the top end variant
No bro its available in xt n xm too
Tiago is cheaper than celerio
Tiago is a game changer for this segment. Less price but more in terms of style, engine, features, safety anything. Hats off. A car that does not look like a budget car. Wow
When i look at celerio ..its feels like maruthi is making mockery of indian middle class ..
true that 😂
I also feel it when is see tiago
celerio zero safety
Tiago is best
proud of India made
best mileage
best price
best stability
best navigation
best Harman sound system
best safety ABS EBD corner stability control and airbag
cool glove box, follow me headlamp
rear wiper, rear sensor ,spoiler
many advantages...
Winner Victory first do home work then right
Tiago is good car
clearly tiago winsss
i will not watch any tata tiago video because tiago always win yaar ...
celerio has 2 cylinder diesel engine....not a 3 cylinder as mentioned in the video
What about safety, whos the safest?
Both of them are, the top end Tiago offers better safety features though.
Can you plzz compare tiago with swift or kuv etc
All the three cars are good but in your house if there are two kids fighting for sitting in front than kuv is good
Celerio has 2 cylinder setup not 3 cylinder. Do you guys even check for correctness before saying something ?
Mumbai On road price of tiago ??

I thought the Celerio comes with a 2cyl diesel
Tiago, What about the pooling power with 5 pers. Here in Ranchi , Owners are complaining about lack of power & AC like a fan.
Nothing of that sort has been reported to us. It has a 1.2 ltr engine which generates good amount of power. Hence, this should not be the issue.
Celerio has a 2 cylinder diesel engine, not 3. This is just a spec comparison. Clips are from previous videos. Real world comparison whould have been much better.
Nice comparison.
Btw the Tiago launch was on 6th April and not March :P
Tiago is comparable with swift not celerio.
That's a compliment for Tiago (Y)
xactly right i have both the cars but tiago can tackle with swift while it is a 3 cylinder car.....

+govthighschool manjakkollai With more powerful engines, less price and almost similar fuel efficiency figures, the Tiago surely is a better value-for-money product than the Celerio. Click on the link to see the detailed comparison. bit.ly/2mzoGTV
Can we trust on Tatas new Tiago (petrol) for longer period??
+akash sharma Yes, you can.
Tata Tiago is always a better buy.

Here, considering the fact that re-sale value is in the good books of Maruti, we would suggest you to pick for Baleno & to retain the peace of mind of owning a Maruti Suzuki.
We would also suggest you to take a test drive before making a final call.
CarDekho thanks a lot
when it comes to features and reliability, Tata wins, when it comes to brand value and resale value, Maruti wins
True :)
compare it now... specially AMT
which to buy
+santhosh kumar b Go for TIAGO without doubt. way good value for money
Tata's catching up big time.. Finally
will tiago offer AMT
It is in the pipeline, stay tuned and we will update you.
Maruti is shit compared to the new Tatas
I am really eagerly waiting for new Tata Hexa, and Neon, come on Tata at least beat the hell out of this looser brand Maruti objectively and subjectively
Sales is another story the bigger Indian pie will always blindly follow Maruti, but the reputation Tata earns out of making such amazing cars makes sure that Tata is light years ahead of Maruti
Your post has a load of pent up frustrations and I share the sentiments too. I had booked the Celerio thrice and cancelled it as I could never come to parting with my money for the car.
brazilianrainbowboa
Buy a Tiago or Figo petrol instead far better than Celerio in all kinds of measurable and non measurable counts
Sadly, I have already purchased a new car and this decisions is about a year old now. :) I could not have waited for the Tiago. But if I am going for another small car soon, it is going to be the Tiago for sure.
Which one should I go for ? My daily ride is 30km on rural roads. Budget is around 4-6 lakhs. Swift, figo, tiago or something else ?
Manu Mishra
Easy choice...
Take Tiago..
If Ford service is easier to reach fo for Figo Trend TDCi..
Forget Swift, worst in segment
We have celerio it's the best vehicle
Tiago XZ में Anti Lock Braking System, Power Door Locks, Passenger Airbag, Ebd, Vehicle Stability Control System, Speed Sensing Auto Door Lock, Pretensioners And Force Limiter Seatbelts आदि उपलब्ध हैं जो Celerio X Zxi में अनुपस्थित हैं। इसके अलावा, Tiago XZ में Parking Sensors, Alloy Wheels, Integrated 2-DIN Audio, Connect Infotainment System By Harman etc जो Celerio X Zxi में अनुपस्थित हैं।
@@cardekho Thanks for help
+SUDHANSHU KUMAR सुधांशु कुमार You're welcome.

Tata is not giving this car for T permit just because of this.

What Milage we get in Petrol Version? What's your observation?
finally a good car from Tata
Hahaha yeah
+CarDekho
According to me Maruti Suzuki Celerio (Diesel) comes with 2 cylinder engine instead of 3 cylinder engine.
very true
Yes, Maruti Celerio diesel is powered by a 0.8-litre diesel engine, which comes with a displacement capacity of 793cc. It has been designed with two cylinders that has eight valves.
NVH level is too high in Tiago vs Celerio which is quite low.
Correction: Celerio has 2 cylinder diesel engine, not 3 cylinder.
Amazing work from Tata they considered each aspects in A+ segment
Swift vs celerio which is best
+Tony Densingh Both the siblings have their own forte. Please share your needs/priorities so that we can help you to pick one.
One of the biggest advantages of having these cars over the completion is the access to Maruti’s unmatched after sales and service network.

STAY AWAY. PERIOD!
Tiago may be good but we hear engine sound in cabin more
Celerio highest model is best than everything
To every car lover here comes Tiago a car to rule indian roads for next decade.
+Irshad Ali (Y)
dear celerio has two cylinder in diesel
Celerio is too good ,no one can beat celerio. The K next engine is awesome , way far from tata tiago.
At last..... No doubt Celerio will fetch better resale value than Tiago, because Tata cars are still not reliable as compared to Maruti cars.
Bhai it is a 6 lac rupees car😎
Both diesels are not 3 cylinder. Celerio has only 2
