One of Tom Cruises greatest roles without a doubt and not a surprise considering it was released in the era of when great films were still being made, the simpler time of 2004! Such a poignant film with Tom Cruise playing a nihilistic assassin who always does what's necessary to complete his objectives and towards the end of the film, he helps Max change his way of looking at life. It's a shame Cruise never did any more villain roles after this, he's perfect for this kind of thing. He should of shook up his resume a bit with more stuff like this. Vincent lived a tortured life, needlessly ending other peoples lives to make ends meet, I wonder if at the end when he succumbs to his injuries on the metro, his life flashed before his eyes, what was the point of it all? A completely pointless and aimless life, never making connections with anyone else, a lone wolf, manufactured, I wouldn't wish that on anyone, no matter what they've done, it's a horrible existence.
