+Everything you need to CRUSH this course and exam!
Is AP Human Geography hard? Well, it's depends on how you define it and what factors you consider. But if you're scared of your first AP course, don't even worry: Heimler's got you!
I took this course last year, along with AP Euro. I would say comparative to Euro, the material in the class was considerably easier to learn and memorize, but that's not to say that the class wasn't hard. I was unlucky enough to get a very strict and harsh teacher for class, which was both agonizing for the majority of the year and helpful, as it allowed me to easily get a 5 on the AP exam.
For anyone taking the class next year:
-Always take notes so that you can reference them when studying for the AP exam
-Don't stress about the AP test at least until the spring, focus on the actual class for the time being
-Watch youtubers like Heimler's History and Mr. Sinn to help study for both the class and the test
-Once you are studying for the test, maybe go over the urbanization unit yourself because a lot of teachers (including mine) tend to run out of time and skip that unit
-And lastly, try to enjoy it. AP Human Geo was one of the most interesting and engaging classes that I've ever taken. It can be a little bit stressful at times, and you definitely will struggle, but putting yourself in a position where you WANT to continue learning about the subject will by far be the best thing you can do to prepare yourself.
That’s some dang good advice 👆🏻👆🏻👆🏻
ap human is the most boring class ive ever taken, i didnt hate it but it wasnt interesting to me
as a senior taking aphug for fun im so excited that you're making videos for it, loved your apush videos last year 🤞
I'm literally about to take AP Hub as a senior for fun! (Also taking Spanish 3, AP Stats and AP Lit same semester so 😭)
I think APUSH and AP World should've helped me prep for the class
It's a freshman course from what I hear and I'm really excited since in my World Georgraphy class we didn't discuss political countries but physical map locations
@lonelyshine8200 haha I decided to take it bc my favorite teacher was taking it and I had a lot of fun with her in apush, but im taking 7 ap classes so it might be a bit rough but hopefully aphug won't be too hard
@@sofias13 7 AP Classes is suicide 😭
Good luck though! You are definitely going to amazing places with that kind of worth ethic
Glad to have you around for another year!
Same here
This was a great course, and as a freshman, seeing a 3 in July was a great moment for me. So, for anyone taking APHuG, pay attention and study, and you'll do just fine 😁
True story
I’m so glad you’re doing APHUG!! I’m taking the class this semester so hopefully i’ll be able to catch some videos before my unit 1 test in about 2 weeks. If not, i can at least review with them before my exam in May! Your videos were the only thing that got me through AP GOV last year!!
I'm self studying for aphug this year as a senior, so happy you're making videos for the subject this year Mr. Heimler 😭💙
Hey Heimler! I took AP World last year as my first AP, and I was able to score a 5 on the exam! Your ultimate review packet was super useful for studying! Thank you so much! Good luck to all students taking AP World and all other history classes!
This class was tough at the beginning for me since it was the first AP class i took as a sophomore (I took AP gov along with it and i struggled throughout the first two quarters), but after you get more practice done, the class is incredibly fun! I would recommend doing a lot of Kahoots and watching videos from Heimler and Mr Sinn, because they are great resources for this class.
GL!
All good ideas!
As a upcoming 9th grader than you for this and i will be following along for the help! Thanks so much
Woahhh, perfect timing Heimler!!! Last year I took AP Euro and AP US Gov. Got a 4 in Euro and 5 in Gov thanks to your videos. I’m planning on taking AP MWH and AP Human Geo this year so I’ll definitely be looking forward to the videos. Thank you so much Heimler, a big hug from Puerto Rico!! 🇵🇷😁
Ha, love it! And a big hug right back!
Wow so glad you're going to now be doing Ap Human Geography. I personally took it as a freshman, and it was difficult, mostly due to the fact that it was my first AP course. Looking back, it wasn't too difficult and I was very close to getting credit. The class itself is very interesting. I used to get my information from Mr.Sinn but so glad that now we have you aswell, so we can have many sources to get information from.
Sorry I missed your year, but glad you had a good experience!
@@heimlershistory thank you Mr. Heimler. I know now that people will have an amazing teacher to simplify the APHUG curriculum. I hope people enjoy the class with your videos. Have a great day!
I graduated this year and took APHUG last year as a senior and got a 5. I took APWH freshman year (got a 4 but that was 2020) and took APUSH junior year and got a 5. APHUG was definitely the easier of those classes. If you are a freshman that wants to take other AP History classes, human geography is not the same thing but it is definitely an interesting class and a good first AP to take. It teaches you to think from a different perspective and although the test is hard, it is significantly shorter than a lot of the other tests. Main advice is to internalize all the vocab, because the multiple choice questions are all super vocab centric and to stick with Heimler as he makes videos for this course. His APUSH videos were incredibly helpful study tools for me junior year. Good luck in the school year!
I couldn’t agree more about the vocab. And you’re too kind to me…
YEEEEESSSS!!!! THANK YOU!!
I’m about to take this class this semester in college so hoping for the best
I’m taking ap human geography as a junior. I took ap world last year already knowing ima be on my own for Ap human group cuz I knew heimler didn’t have videos.
SO THANKKKK GODD THANKK U HEIMLERRR
Haha, glad it worked out 😁
as a rising senior that took aphug freshman year. if you have the option definitely take this class. even if you don’t like history this class is fun. it also gets you ready for ap classes in the future
Agreed! 👍🏻
I’m not taking AP human geography. I love geography and loved your APUSH and AP Euro videos. I’m excited to watch these!
I took AP Human Geo as a freshman and got a 5! I was lucky to have a great teacher who knew the content and was able to keep my attention, but my tips are to take thorough notes by hand, and type them out later on a computer! I also made Blookets for vocabulary and used those. Hope these tips help!
All really great tips… and nice job on the 5! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
i took it as a freshman and it was really fun and a good ap class to start out as!
Warms my heart to hear it…
sadly my school doesn’t offer AP human geography but last year, i took APUSH and heimler’s history and crash course US history were my two main ways of studying. and, i ended up with a 5! so for any newcomers to the channel taking APHUG (or any other AP history class) i can definitely vouch that this guy will be worth more than you could ever ask for.
Wow, what a thing to say. Count me grateful…
im starting ap human 2nd semester just for fun (i’m a sophomore who’s also taking apush) so your channel is about to be a LIFESAVER for me
Ha, sounds like a blast! 😂
Thanks Heimler for helping me get a 5 on my AP World History exam!
Dang!! Nice work!!🙌🏻🙌🏻
i thought ap hug was really easy but i also had a great teacher, so that def helped!!
Yeah, that makes all the difference
Hi Heimler! In 2 years (after APHUG) will you make video guides for AP Comp Gov?
I wish I had you last year when I took ap human geography it would of been so easy if I had you and mr sinn. I still got a 5 though. I’m taking ap world history this year
definitely use quizlet for all those vocab words !
I wish my school offered APHUG!!!! I’m so good at geography!!! I wish this was offered, I feel like I could do so well!
I’m taking this class currently and I’m really really nervous the aura of the classroom is so tense it just gets me nervous tbh
Best teacher
It’s a lot easier than most other AP’s, and for a freshman, its definitely a good entrance AP. There’s just a lot of info and you need to understand various theories and models and how they relate. The good news is that it also teaches skills for future classes like APUSH, especially with writing skills and time management. I got a 5.
All true… Nice work on the 5!
@@heimlershistory Also your ultimate review packet helped me get a 5 this year for APUSH so thanks a million
Looks like Mr. Sinn has some competition 😂
Mr. Sinn is a gentleman and a scholar…
@@heimlershistory agreed 👍
I took this course im my freshman year and boy i wish heimler was there to help me. I would suggest to take this course not as ur first but maybe in your sophomore year. Its harder than people say it is
Me, a junior, only self-studying this because Heimler's making videos on it
I took this course in my freshman year of High School and really enjoyed it! I also was pleased to get a 4 on the test. It was very logical and interesting to learn about. I think that anyone who takes this course will look at human behavior and dispersion in a new way. There are plenty of vocabulary words to keep track of and a few key maps and diagrams to remember. Understanding the "why" is super important and take the opportunities you get to do practice tests as they are super accurate to how the actual test is. In fact, I believe you can find some of the previous tests used by College Board. Good luck! Enjoy!
P.S. your SNL reference was amazing! 😁
Can u please tell me what the test was like?
I didn't know there even WAS a thing called an AP class till the end of my Freshman grade year. This school year (soph) I'm doing APWH.
Well good news, I'm also redoing all my AP World videos this year...and hopefully that will help!
SUPER UNREALTED BUT THAHNK YOU HEMIER FOR UR AP EURO VIDEOS I GOT A 4 LETDS GOOOOO
Heck yes you did! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
I took AP Human freshman year and got a 4. I’m happy with that score, but I so thought I had a 5. I think if I had studied like I did last year in AP World and AP Gov, I would’ve rocked the test.
Still, a 4 is no joke… nice work!
Psychic heimler I’m literally taking this this year
Boom! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
As an AP human geography alumni this course is very easy till 2 weeks till the exam but still got a 5
I took APHG last year. (As a freshman) It was my first AP class and I got a 5😎😎 It’s actually a very interesting class and I recommend. I learned about gentrification, and types of farming, and political boundaries, and tons of other stuff.✨✨ very eye opening 10/10 this year I’m going to take ap world and ap seminar (I’m actually working on my summer work for it rn lol)
Dang! A 5?! Nice work!
I took it freshman year but since it was online, my teach didn’t exactly prepare me for the test so I got a 1. It did not feel easy.
Yeah that’s rough… sorry it wasn’t a great experience
As a junior who took APHG with AP Euro, its just memorizing vocaburary and managing your time. I promise you all will be fine :)
Yep
I took AP human Geography, it was a very interesting course but I didn’t really know how AP’s work when I was a freshman. I didn’t really study the course as much as I wish I did. I got a 3 on the exam which is yk good but not fantastic.
Can we assume that he will be posting these in real time Aug-March in the lead up to the May exam?
I didn’t know anything in this class and guessed on the test and got a 4 it’s really easy
Whoa 😳
Just wondering, did anybody self-study AP World using the Heimler Review Pack, and if so, how did it go?
Yes definitely I got a 5 but it’s no longer available I think , they got rid of it on the website :(
I took it my senior year and it was pretty easy, but it would definitely be harder if i took it as a freshman. Not being used to the formatting of the exams and the pacing of AP classes made would have made it far worse
Good to know I’m saying what’s true…
Me when most people take aphug freshman year and I’m taking it junior year bc for some reason my school doesn’t let you take AP classes your freshman year and only APUSH 1, AP seminar, and AP Comp Sci Principles sophomore year 😭
If anyone seeing this is going into aphug next year, be sure to watch Mr Sinn
Dang… ICE COLD 😂
@heimlershistory nah bro I'm just recommending him, idk that you make ap hug videos
@@heimlershistory my bad bro I didn't know you did aphug also, no disrespect intended
@@TurboPacksHa, no disrespect taken. We’re good. I just thought it was funny… I’m still cheering you on this year. Now go get it… 🙌🏻
Heimler if you plan on branching out in terms of AP courses then I beg that you would please do calc AB and BC cause I would rather take my favorite bald man over some randoms on RUclips.
Well, you certainly know how to make a bald man blush. But I assure you: I’m not your guy. I can barely perform simple subtraction without a great deal of mental energy 😂
I took this class in 8th grade. It was super hard, but i perservered and got a 3 on the exam. Would recommend
"Super hard" and then "would recommend" is wild.
Buddy i was 13
I took Apush freshman yr and wanted to take APHUG sophomore yr but I think imma switch it to AP seminar cause it has nothing to do with what I wanna major in 😭
Fair enough…
took this course last year, did not study for it. I went in knowing I would get a 2, coming out knowing I would get a 2. I got a 5.
What about AP world?
I’ll be doing new AP World videos this year too
No Chipotle’s her in T-town! Guess that’s a fail?!
ME WHEN I USED HEIMLER FOR APUSH 1 LAST YEAR AND GET TO USE HIS VIDEOS FOR APHUG AND APUSH 2 THIS YEAR
Ha, glad we get to do all that together!
I'll never do that class cuz my school doesn't have that AP class 😂
The chosen one has said no it is not. Amen to the one above
Most of it is the same too because the demographic maps are almost all the same. Like religion, language, races ect
Yep, a lot of overlap
AP Human is free as long as you pay attention in class, go out of your own way to study and practice, and listen to heimler/sinn.
Yep, not complicated
I took it in the fall of 2020, remembered nothing, and still got a 4. It's possible people.
Indeed it is
AP wrld diff
No
Ap human is so easy
First👨🏽🦯
First
Nope it’s not hard 😂
😆
Major but 🫡
Also… do it now instead of in college! It wasn’t tough where I went, but if I got it done in high school that would be one less boring Gen Ed class I would have to get through before my major classes. Thanks Heimler!
Mmhmmm
