Radio hasn’t been working for months.. found your video 20 min later n I’m back to bumpin my Tupac. Easiest way to fix this issue by far. Thank you friend
Worked awesome. Thanks. The only star socket I needed was missing also Allen didn't work so I went for under sear surgery and tight as an A hole but finally! Thanks
I believe you helped me with how to bypass the Fiber Optics from the CD Changer. My intentions are to install a Double Din. I would use the power and ground from the cig lighter and constant from the CD player. I need to order a Euro antenna adapter to aftermarket before I try. Thanks. I left you instructions in case someone gets bored and beats me to it. I need to measure out the space from the CD changer.
beerdrinker3 .. If the Onstar symbol on dash is blinking your fuse is broken change it and you'll have sound! It's in the back trunk driver's side the fuse is 7.5 amp and it's fuse number 19 which is in the second row and second fuse! I just changed my fuse yesterday and my radio and blinkers are working now also all of the speakers as well! Check fuse first then amp uder the drivers seat if the fuse is good! Good luck!
I have a problem but the sound in blinker works and radio works (but there is no bass in doors) only sound of radio pls help fast if u know what the problem is
this will work on any year that has the amp under the driver seat, and has the orange fiber optic line going in and back out of amp. and as one of the people who commented, yes this isn't a perfect fix, But it will least get you some music again and the turn signal noise again, the music won't sound as great as it will loose some of its quality not using the amp, but it sure beats having no music at all, I did this fix many months ago and I'm more than happy with it just like this

the original purpose of the amp is it improves the quality of the sound of the stereo system. so bypassing the amp does take away from the sound quality of the stereo system, but it sure beats having no stereo at all
so when you connected the optic cables were they both turning red or just one? mine just one is blinking red. if anyone could help me out trying to get some chimes at least.
@@mauriceponton2820 you need to replace the amp on 03-04 year models they always got electrical issues you can try the video method and try to bypass it or just get one off a car yunk yard for a cheaper price compared to new/ fixed ones online
@@pedrx_v9323 well I tried the video method and now my radio won’t turn on even when I put everything back to how it was. Will getting a new amp fix this.

Yes you are correct, but it is better than none of them working at all lol. It's a good temporarily fix until it can get fixed correctly (which usually means replacing the amp, which can get expensive especially if you have to pay somone to do it)
Are you saying everything works on your radio, but you just have no sound? When you turn your turn signal on, can you here a "click click" thst follows the pattern of the turn signal arrow? If you have no sound from your turn signals in the car, then this all means your "amp1" is broke, and doing whst I showed in the video will work as a temporary fix, or if your ok with the sound quality of the stereo with no amp, then you can leave it as a permanent fix

Yes but for one it was easier to record everything with the seat out, and 2 it takes 60 seconds to take the seat out and gives you a lot more room to work

Hi Bret great video, thanks! Can you please show us how you actually connected the two optic fibre wires?
What do you need to connect the 2 together?

have this problem on my saab, can i heat the shrink tubing while it is on the fiber cable?
How did you connect the two orange wires.. because I did that & it still doesn't work..

Will that help to have sounds from parking system as well?

From what I read, this means not all your speakers will work. But as he says, it's a temporary fix.

You didn't need to remove the seat just move it all the way up and it's easy to get to.
Yes but for one it was easier to record everything with the seat out, and 2 it takes 60 seconds to take the seat out and gives you a lot more room to work
But yes can do it with seat in place too
Bret Long would this work on my Saab 93 2005
I did this now my radio won’t turn on
I think I'd probably break out the vacuum cleaner before wading around in all that filth under the seat......
How the hell did u remove the seat!!!!!???? Ahhhhhvbbbbbbbbgbhhgbhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!
Story of Most All new Saab owners; I bought it Real cheap.
Ever wonder why? it's so cheap ??
Because they are mechanical/electrical nightmares that no one will repair 😢😢 2* saab owner here
