    I just use Dr. bronner's castile soap with a face cloth (it lasts forever), maybe some face balm mixed with a small amount of retin A cream and a bottle of sea salt and water spritz. Works like a charm. I'm nearly 50 and not a wrinkle in sight. I honestly couldn't imagine having that much product on my bathroom bench.

    • @LaughingInTiny
      @LaughingInTiny Год назад +5

      Agreed. I have pretty much the same, but spritz rosewater on after a shower because it smells pretty and makes me feel like I'm doing something 😂 I also rarely wear makeup so I wonder if these days people feel like they can counter years of wearing layers of toxins on their face by wearing more layers of toxins on their face? 49, no wrinkles, no crepe skin and no blemishes. Probably because I listened to my grandmother... ❤

      Some people need more or less product. I have a cousin who washes her faces with literal soap, never moisturises, and never uses sunscreen, yet her skin is flawless. And she's a mother of four. Four! Meanwhile here I am with 20+ different skincare products (I don't use them all at once, dw), and while my skin is much improved compared to how it was before I did any skincare, it's still FAR from what my cousin naturally has 🥲

I started using rose water+saffron (buy 100% rose water and i mix a few strands of saffron) once that is absorbed i use alovera gel, rice water moisturiser and sunscreen. At night will include retinol. A year?! That isn’t true. You do not need to go that long using tretinoin alone and you certainly shouldn’t be using it at all without a moisturizer- most people experience dryness, and if not treated, their skin will be beyond light peeling and will go straight into crusty territory

I quit all my Cerave products and the next morning, for the first time in years, I woke up with no new breakouts. If you have acne-prone skin, consider cutting out Cerave products from your routine. The results may surprise you.

But CeraVe products deliver quality results for many people at an affordable price, and it's not right for you to be fear mongering like this.
      And btw, as someone with acne-prone skin, using a CeraVe moisturiser helped IMMENSELY with reducing my spots and fading my marks and hyperpigmentation.

    You use Vaseline? Other dermatologists said that it wasn't ok cause you could clog your pores.. 😮 So is it dermatological ly tested and recommended ? ❤ Thanks

    • @raerohan4241
      @raerohan4241 Год назад +1

      No proper dermatologist says that. Vaseline is non-comedogenic, so it doesn't clog pores. If you put it onto unclean skin, _then_ issues can arise - but that's the fault of the stuff underneath the vaseline, not the vaseline itself.

      Pure petroleum jelly is recommended by dermatologists for eczema... So I doubt Vaseline would cause serious skin problems. I've only ever used it and you should see my skin!! ☺️

      Only 3 are 100% necessary. Everyone needs to use those. Other products can be used to target specific skincare concerns (e.g. acne, pigmentation, fine lines, etc.) or boost the performance of those base products.
