I'm 55 years old now and I remember when the Floral came out. I'm still waittin' for a left-hand version. The Floral is the Gem of the Jems. Thanks forthe fine video.
this is really my dream guitar. my guitar teacher and great example had this guitar and shared his passion for it with me. last year he died suddenly of a brain haemorrhage, but now I suddenly come across his guitar. if I have enough money I will buy one myself (if it is available somewhere)
It's the only Jem I love with the woody. I'm not a fan of the Jem in general in term of esthetics but this on, THIS ONE, is so gorgeous ! If I ever got the chance to get one once, I won't hesitate. (my wallet may though).
Jem nerds of the world….. ??? For all……can’t find an answer! I have 2 florals… one is complete/original…..normal!! The other is a “Frankenstein”….. basically. Body only! This jem body has no holes for pick guard or access covers on back??? Uhhhhh? And yes, it is a real Jem……. I think:) Chips, crack, dings…..Reveal cloth! Great video by the way! Legendary Shred guitar! Thank you!
Awesome! I have one too. It's a 1990 in near mint like yours. 12yrs ago I paid 1500 for it. Damn good investment I'd say! The bridge pup sounds awesome as well!
i have a snow white jackson dk2m and i am satisfied with it but i really want to own that guitar the most. unfortunately it is not produced now :( if i see someone to sell it, i will struggle to buy it.
Lovely looking (& sounding) Jem77FP. Being a 2003 model, is yours (technically) the 15th Anniversary model? I'm still on the lookout for a clean example at a reasonable price. One day...
@@InstrumentsForEmotions allegedly, the floral pattern is from an actual pair of curtains that Pia either owned or found somewhere....a thing of beauty for sure. When i was 14 i would hang around our local music shop, will never forget seeing this thing in the flesh for the first time, obviously the price was premium but nowhere near what one would cost today..i remember having to be content with leaving the shop that day with a Ibanez/Steve via brochure and yes,a couple of guitar picks!...two years later the 7 string swirl passion and warfare guitar turned up;i just about died when i saw that one ha ha! To this day i still don't own either of these guitars but i DO have a RG550 in desert yellow...closest i'll ever get probably.
I think that one is too late to be the fabric. Ibanez couldn't get it anymore, so they just painted it on. The FP is the one always wanted, but by the time I could afford one, they weren't available. This was 2000 in the US. I ended up with 7VWH instead.
@@OLLiGoldeaux Yes, in '88, it’s the original Edge. I will say that the Lo-Pro, which immediately followed the original, is pretty good, too. But it makes the "lion's claw" cutout intended for the original Edge's lockers look a bit silly.
I have a black one, VBK 777 from 1989, it is on its fourth refret, that is how much it is played. These are players guitars, designed to be played to death... Whenever I see one in mint condition I just think what a waste. All that work and precision, just for someone to keep it in a case and stick it under their bed. Sell it to a player. Let it live a life.
I can assure you this has been played and it's not sitting under the bed. Frets has been sanded cause they were played to shit. She gets fare share of playing every week✌️
Bought this in 1989 and still own it till now

You're welcome...hope you get your left handed version one day.
Me too.
I'm left handed too.. I only ever see palin white available in the UK. I would love a floral version. Beautiful guitar. 👍🏻
For me this is the coolest guitar ever made - really wish Ibanez would still be making these.
Yes these are very cool guitars. That would be so awesome if they would start to make these again👍
Then they wouldn’t be as special and that’d be lame you can buy one for about 5 grand
Bought one in 1989. Best guitar i've ever played! Never gonna part with it ❤
Very Nice looking model. I bought my 1988 Jem FP in 1998 & still have it and is in great condition and sounds and plays so well.
Nice to hear🤘 don't ever sell it.
@@InstrumentsForEmotions I certainly plan to keep it , they don't just look amazing ! 😎
@@NeilTurnbull007 that's right🤘
I have a 1988 floral jem and its so rare

Dream guitar.
The guitar of my dreams!!!! It trully deserves a reissue.
Love this guitar! I also have one from 2000 so it is with Lo-Pro Edge bridge. Absolutely amazing guitar. JEMs are pieces of art!

Best looking jem by a far margin
Yes it is.

This was golden , also so was the frank gambale ones
Hell yeah.
Bough mine used in 1989 for 600 bucks, still have it
I would like to get one of these for 600 bucks in nowdays🤘
My dream guitar

Nice to hear that. These JEM prices doesn't go down, they go up so awesome investment💪
I guess it's nice if you like flowers.

Yes that's correct👍
I like this sound guitar
I love this guitar. Where can I get the floral pattern material/paper so I can paste it to my RG560.
This finish is awesome looking indeed. That is a good guestion, where can it be found.
@@InstrumentsForEmotions I'm going to have to paint it by hand. Just another question - are the humbuckers active?
No, these are passive pickups.
@@InstrumentsForEmotions tnx for reply. Wow they sound great.

@@InstrumentsForEmotions Welcome!
What happend to the 2-3-4- positions including the middle pickup? Sounds like it is broken or have some serious phase issues.
I have no idea.
That guitar must pretty much older than me
The early ones has lo-pro edge instead of edge pro
Yes there is. 1988-1990: Edge tremolo
1991-2002: Lo-Pro Edge tremolo
2003-2004: Edge Pro tremolo
is the edge zero
how about the original floral jem pink velvet case smell? anyone know what im talking about? mmmmmm.
I know what you mean😁🤘

I think, my one (from 1988) is a little bit different, there is NO EDGE Pro, only " EDGE " - which is the best system

Very rare guitar!
Yes nowdays these are rare ones and very pricy if you find one 🤘
Not as rare as some others in the line. Try to find an SK with the vine inlay.
Oh, yes.... but an EDGE pro ?
Asemlahhh pamer doang. Jd pengen nih😁
Btw perfect the guitar
Yes it is🤘
🤘🏻 🌟 🤘
Horrible playing, great instrument
