  • 40-mm VOG-25 shells have become widespread in the post-Soviet space. This rounds are designed to be fired from grenade launchers attached to assault rifles and used to engage exposed enemy manpower as well as manpower located on reverse slopes of terrain, inside open engineer installations and military equipment.
    I am currently raising funds for a 3D printer "Flashforge creator 4" to make mock-ups of parts and I will be glad for your help:

    These are VOG-25 P rounds. VOG-25 rounds have a pronounced rounded nose cap.
    The VOG-25 P rounds have a tandem charge that detonates, “bouncing” the round .5 to 1.5 meters into the air, producing an air burst effect. The VOG-25 rounds simply detonate upon impact.

    VOG-25P bouncing grenade is more interesting. It jumps up about 1m before detonation.

      The grenade launcher is used in combination with 7.62 mm and 5.45 mm assault rifles (AKM, AK-74, AKs-74, AK-74M, AK-101, AK-103)

    what is holding the spring ring in place?

    • @specialengineer2718
      @specialengineer2718  10 месяцев назад +2

      The retention of the spring ring is provided by other parts. In case of axial overload, the spring settles together with them and decompresses.

    That is not AT ALL how this grenade functions!

      @Salamandra40k 9 месяцев назад +1

      Mkay, then how does it function?

      @adamchurvis1 9 месяцев назад

      @@Salamandra40k Just watch the video's internal cutaways frame-by-frame and you can plainly see that none of what they are showing you could possibly happen -- especially in the sequence shown. This was made by someone who didn't know anything about munitions and just imagines how some of the pieces in this grenade worked. But he was WAY wrong.
      It's not about me telling you HOW it works; it's about telling you that this is NOT the way it works. Just like if they said a thermonuclear explosion works by clubbing a weasel, which initiates the baking soda in the detonator, which in turn starts up the Easy-Bake Oven...

      @@adamchurvis1Yes...you telling me to watch the frame-by-frame of how it works, after you saying you know how it works, and i ask you how it works...but you tell me to figure it out for myself; I obviously not knowing how it works, and you giving no proof at all that you do...
      So just tell us all how it works if you know...

      @@Salamandra40k First, you need to play very close attention to what people say, rather than reading in things that are not there and mentally editing what they say.
      At no time did I ever claim to know how this grenade functions; I only claimed that it did NOT function in the manner shown in the video. I even went to far as to EXPLAIN the difference to you, yet you insist on clinging to things that do not and never have existed. Why?
      Would you please copy and paste -- rather than retype! -- your bona fide evidence of this claim you made: "after you saying you know how it works"?
      I'll wait.

      @@adamchurvis1 Fine. You dont know how it works...which is fucking absolutely dogshit horrific logic behind why you think it cant work the way it does. If anything, you not knowing how it works and saying "it doesnt work like that" makes you no less right or wrong than the video, because guess what....you cant damn prove anything. Not a single thing. Logically, viewing cross-cuts of the grenade, I'm here countering by saying that it makes perfect logical sense for the grenade to work this way.
      The contact pin triggers what is a burning fuze- the short fuze burns and allows the flap to open, while the literal longer fuze (meaning...a longer burn time, good job, you guessed it) burns to the top and sets off the primer, which detonates, allowing the gasses to access the opening in the flap and set off the primary charge. Its almost like thats how all grenades work, more or less....
      And speaking of grenades, its funny how if you look at other cross-cuts of, for example, a 20mm HEI round, and a hand grenade, the other animations this channel has put out are accurate to the diagrams....almost like the person who makes the videos knows a bit more about whats going on than you do. So, for all you know about thermonuclear bombs, they could work the way you stated...because like this grenade, you dont know how they work, and thus have no fucking say in anything about their operation. So shut up, nerd
