agreed. It's absolutely baffling if you compare how far more advanced Mount and Blade Viking Conquest is.. That game has sooo many options in every aspect of the game, kingdom management, diplomacy, excellent immersive raiding of villages, or castles, or even towns, you can decide to organize a raid through boats (very immersive) . After the raid you can decide what to do, like slaughter everyone , burn everything..etc or be more merciful or just take a bit..etc That Viking Conquest is not even a mod.. it's 1 fully completed game (maybe initially I think it was inspired by the mod Brythenwalda or something)
hardly. The OG modders are hybernating. In fact I never played bannerlord nor intend until I see pendor there. But I doubt it. OG Mount and Blade was unoptimised and only x32 but it was build in python, and you could do wonders there. Now with Bannerlord having everything different, I just don't see OG cast of modders bothering.
yeah pendor was such a great mod, still played it to this day from time to time, it got great backstories for the factions too, so pretty immersed in the setting
Excellent reviews. TOR is really fun as the vampires but the first 5 minutes is HARD. Especially for non vampire factions. Nice touch with the Adagio for Strings at the end

Does any of these mods feature the old deployment system where you could put troops in group 1-9 ? I can’t bring myself to play bannerlord since they introduced these wierd sliders, it’s so bad, broke the game for me -.-
For the europe 1100 mod, if they aiming for historical accuracy, the spanish peninsula was divided in 5 territories, the portugal kingdom, the kingdom of Castille and Leon, the kingdom of Navarre, the aragon crown ( union of aragon kingdom and the catalan counties in the 1100) and the taifa kingdoms.
I don't think they aim for this, or if they aim, they better not try more cause they very bad at it. It looks like a fantasy version of reality from the gear i just seen, and at this time heraldry is not really a thing. They should better call it europe 1200 at this point. Oh man, wait until you hear the other name for the Byzantines. I think what you mean to say is that they don't look like the Roman cities of antiquity.
I would love to see a mod set in the late Bronze Age. Egypt, Mycenaean Greece, Assyria, Babylon, the Hittites, Mitanni. It would fit so well with the Bannerlord style. I’d be half tempted to try my hand at modding just to try it, but it’d probably need a large mod team to realize it, as everything from the armors, cities, to even the hair styles would all need to be made from scratch. Plus, chariots would have to be implemented somehow, because you can’t do the Bronze Age without them.

Hoped to find some Napoleon here. v°v Anyway, that 1100 mod totally caught my attention.^^ And i would ask a question if i may. What is the name of that intro/outro song please?
The problem of Europe Campaign map and thus then of Europe 1100 is that they do not allow De Re Militari ... But someone told me that with Europe 1100 and I guess also with Anno domini the two will introduce a proper mixed troops show up also "late game" and not all units are "imperial" top tier keeping the realism level going. Or am I wrong? It's really a pity anyway mods do not keep into count wonderful mods... It would just take for Europe not to add Euripeans and leave it to be done by Europe 1100 dedicated mod or others so that you could use Europe with the vanilla 6 factions!... so that De Re militari would work! ... I don't understand why they do these things not considering other modders work (nor the original work either!) Will 1100 Europe Eliminate the vanilla fantasy factions or it will keep them in game?
thanks for the vid. Personally, I don't see much of a difference in the historical mods... same game, different skin. The Europe map is beautiful, but I find the 'aggression' level of kingdoms to be lower, and the map has too many 'one-way passes' which limits attack vectors for the AI. Same with GoT map... its nice, but very little encounters. I need to play the TOR ... that looks like a different game ... so we will see.
The GoT map is lore accurate. The gameplay reflects this; the south finds it difficult to make any headway into the north without moat calin, dorne is notoriously hard to invade from the reach or the stormlands due to all the mountain passes. Tbh I’ve found there were too many encounters, but that might be as a kingdom. Honestly it’s pointless playing that mod without Diplomacy and Fourberie. Those two effectively simulate the game of thrones, very well.
I think adding a new system to the game like provinces could add so much depth to the game. bannerkings is good but I feel like provinces could go even further and add that Stratergy style to the game. A province could have anything in It for example a province could just have 1 castle and 4 villages and when you take it over you could develop this province and as the population increases you could add another castle, more villages and maybe a city. Now this would take time and money and if you aint about that You could then focus on taking richer provinces from other kingdoms. You can set laws, install a lord and do so much more.
No, just.... no. It's not that popular in total war and it would make this even worse. Villages are already bound to a specific castle or city deal with it.
@@imnackeredsirnackered948because it isn't a good idea. Improvements should be made to the system we have now as it is good, just lacking some depth. CA Eagly Rising is great but sadly it doesn't have a custom map except the Europe add on and i refuse to play on the bland Vanilla map, no strategic advantages, no real reason to own a castle or city. RoT has the best map out of all TC mods. For total conversion mods Warband is still the best game by far with mods such as Gekokujo, Clash of Kings, The Last Days of the Third Age.
OMG with bannerlord ... Instead having a full complete Feudal Era Mod like we had on other games or even on warband they have 1000000 different versions of simple mods that they require even other mods to work.. Headache!!
Torn between craving realism or going full crazy and indulging in Warhammer version of Bannerlord. Btw how this game could have been released without realistic European map is beyond me. Even as a paid DLC, having official realism version (both map of Europe, factions, units) would have been such a boon. Oh well, we have modders and thank Gods for that. Still, having official version is always nice as you don´t have to wait for updates or be afraid it was discontinued.
Since ever Mount & Blade was focused on anything realistic? I really don't understand bragging about that on franchise builted on fantasy. But yeah, modders do wonders.
It's possible they'll add an expansion focused on real Europe, but mount and blade is a realistic fantasy world. There wouldn't be a point to releasing that and it would be like developing a second game, it would only be worthwhile for a DLC, and you have kidders, I don't get why your even talking about this
