I came her from Anna's post about this. But I also loved one of the top comments on her post from the trumpet player who you can hear right at the end. Once he realized she was playing, he went wailing on that last note. So cool to hear the organ playing epically with the orchestra and the insane trumpet high note. Fantastic job everyone.

I love that he felt free enough to do that. that means it's not only a great orchestra, but also an amazing Conductor, most of them are quite strict and do not well with improv and changes. But he gives his orchestra the freedom to do this. I loved every second of it. And Anna is so talented to be able to write this thing inbetween shows, like it is nothing.

Came here from Anna's post. At the BIG moment with the organ, I was watching the crowd, wondering how on earth they were staying so still, when such moving music was happening all around them.
Then I looked closer and saw the small movements in the crowd. Arms lifting hands toward faces to wipe away tears.
An absolutely heart-gripping arrangement of a powerful piece of music - thank you!

Anna's post mentioned the emotion she felt when she did this. As a musician I have had a few emotional experiences while performing, like my first National Anthem from the field in my college marching band in front of 70,000 people.
This was an emotional experience to listen to, on a system that can play the organ, and I can only imagine her feelings from opportunity and experience doing this!

I knew this score inside out as a teenager and always dreamed of playing the music one day … then roll on a few years and I found myself depping on viola in the West End production. Dream come true. But the nature of doing something so often means it loses some of its emotional power- listening to this quite a few years later has fully restored all the emotions. Love it all. The organ and the trumpet final notes too. 😭
