They are jealous and insert themselves into everything out of spite. They insert themselves into anything that doesn't belong to them. They will never erase the spiritual connection because we all know - Jews & Christians - that Jerusalem belongs to God and Messiah is coming back soon. They will find out. In my opinion.
OK guys, here is a though. We understand your connection to Jerusalem and temple mount. Muslims believe in Abraham, Isaac, David and Solomon. PBU them all. In the Islamic narrative, or belief the temple built by Sulaiman PBUH was a mosque, a house of prayer to the true God. So let's build the 3rd temple. It will fulfill your prophecies and Muslims and Jews can pray/worship on seperate quarters. For Muslims, the whole are around Masjid Alagsa is the Holy Land. Jews can wait for their Messiah and Muslims will wait for their Messiah as well. We don't need to fight over it, kill or expel every other religious people out from that area. We can actually have peace. Think about it. So when the Messiah arrives he will know who is on the right path and we shall know if we were following a false religion or belief. On a side note, Islam just means submission to God in Arabic. It claims it is the continuation of the message from the first Human Beign, from Adam, Noah, Abraham and untill the last Prophet Mohamed PBU all of them. A lot of the Jews left the Jerusalem after the Roman Empire destroyed the temple in 70 AD. Then Jerusalem has occupied by different kingdoms and empires. Eventually the Ottoman Empire controlled the area during WW I and they lost control to British Empire and called it Palestine. If it was due to the Holocaust and the international community decided that the Jews deserved their own country around 1948. Then the Israeli military finally got control of Jerusalem’s eastern portion (where the Temple Mount and the Dome of the Rock exist) during the 1967 War.

With the same mindset I was there near the Dome of the Rock some twenty years ago. Standing aside, minding my own, not near any people. But shortly after I had closed my eyes, some dude tapped me on the shoulder and asked me if I was praying, since that wasn't t allowed. He told me to move on. It wasn't an Arab either, some western dressed dude.

First of all, I never heard of someone being restricted from praying, regardless of religion…in today’s world. Not all of the West is blinded. But our government need to read their bible! This land belongs to Gods people of Israel. This is where God rested his name. They are jealous and insert themselves into everything out of spite. They insert themselves into anything that doesn't belong to them. Islam came into existence 610 years after Christ and much longer after the start of Judaism. As a follower of Yeshua from NY, forgive my ignorance for not knowing that Jews are not allowed to pray on the Temple Mount. To just learn of this is immensely disturbing. First of all, I never heard of someone being restricted from praying, regardless of religion…in today’s world. This reminds me of the Israeli exile to Babylon under king Nebuchadnezzar when the LORD’s chosen Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were thrown into the furnace for praying to God, and which Daniel faced with the next king and was thrown into the Lion’s den. This goes against an intrinsic God-given right, the right to pray should be to all.

Not all of the West is blinded. But our government need to read their bible! This land belongs to Gods people of Israel. This is where God rested his name. If I had the finances I’d go to Jerusalem and Pray to God the Lord, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. We should be able to pray and worship Our God where he laid his name. I hope more Christians make their up, to stand strong for Gods beautiful children of Jerusalem. When I heard Islam has Jerusalem, my heart broke... The Temple Mount is so Holy, and so full of Spirit.
