Paul Klipsch is my favorite speaker designer. His original Klipsch speaker is still in production after more than 60 years - a testament to the brilliance and inspiration of his speaker sense. I love that his speaker designs are so efficient. Bill Sellers
KLH Model 5 , Inakustik LS-1002 speaker cables , T+A A2000AC power amp (dual mono ), Eversolo DMP-A6 Master Edition ( Linear Source upgrade) Streamer/DAC and Van Den Hul D-102 Hybrid MkIII - XLRs connectors. It gives me and the people that come over for an audition , goosebumps ... Lovely speakers all of those reviewed but my soul is for the Model 5 .
I think you are correct, any of these speakers are a great choice for a good sounding system. The Heresy IV would be my choice, only because I remember that sound growing up. I am open minded though. Great job guys, very informative 👍
I can proudly say I have owned Linton 85th, Heresy 4, and now Model 5 and Fyne 500SP. You cannot go wrong with any of them but it's good to buy based on where you intend to place the speaker as placement matters as it related to their designs. However, of all these, the Heresy 4 had my preferred sound profile and it was not picky about what amplifier I connected to it.
Andrew Jones. I own a pair of source point 10s( original version) . To me, my system sounds as good as far more expensive ones because of the speaker quality. I'd love a pair of his V10s for my next listening space..
For $3k I built the Helios speaker kit from Madisound. Much higher quality components and sound quality than speakers in this price range. A little time and effort, but well worth it. Not for everyone, but if I can do it, most anyone can.
Informative! Interesting that ported (base reflex) speakers dominate market. Im going with Henry Kloss because the AR speakers in the 60s started my hifi journey.
I've have Heresy IV'S, Forte IV'S and have a pair of V10's on order. The V10's are currently out of stock everywhere and it's killing me waiting another month or so. I really like the Fortes and have them tweaked where they sound so good I can't imagine the V10's blowing them away. But if they do I'm keeping the V10's and putting the Fortes in my wife's system.
I bought the Fyne F500SP from Chris at Upscale, hey Chris! Love these speakers, the imaging on these F500SP speakers is nuts. If you have yet to experience a Fyne speaker and are in the market, give their lineup a serious look. I have mine sitting next to the Cabasse Murano and Zu DW6 Supremes. Fyne is one of my favorite speakers. ;-)
I will add my vote for the wonderful Klipsch Heresy IV. Using mine with a Dennis Had tube amp and a Schiit Mimir DAC that offers EQ. Slightly lifting the bass and lowering the upper midrange bump turns these into warm and smooth sounding speakers you will dream about listening to all day (and night). Excellent video on what may be the best speakers on the market for under 4k. Very well done!
@MuscleBNOur ears and personal taste are all different. I have the Heresy IV's and unlike Heres's in the past, they're not harsh. Though I highly recommend using tube equipment or a very carefully chosen solid state amp.
Thanks for the comparison - appreciate your videos. I can confirm that the Bass in the Sourcepoint 10 Master Edition is impressive. Midrange and highs are well balanced.
@dougg1075Please post what you're using for a sub. There's times when I really wish I had one too. My other option is I was thinking about upgrading to some Forte IV's. Though those can be a little harder to place in my room.
FYI - these are the Fyne Audio F502S not the Fyne Audio F502SP The Fyne Audio F502S are just slightly smaller and are priced more toward $3,000 The Fyne Audio F502SP are priced at about $ 6,300 Multiple components are upgraded and they are made in the UK as opposed to China
Coooolll! I’m checking out the website right now and am seeing new stands for the Heresy’s, then check out RUclips and see this newly posted video, as I’m listening to my Heresy’s😂 Definitely getting the new stands. Looks like gift certificate requests for Christmas🥳🥳🧐 I also have the Fyne Audio F500SP bookshelf’s I use at work. Man those things make me smile every day! Like they have “little man syndrome”😂
I just heard the Fyne's at CAF and came away very impressed but the videos Andrew Jones has done on the Mofi's has left me very impressed and would love to compare the two for my next speaker selection.
I used to own a pair of PSB 800 but always wanted the silvers. Now we are talking about speakers built in the 90s but I always thought that Paul Barton designed a great speaker. Someday when I grow up ( I’m 55 now lol ) I’ll get a pair of silvers or maybe just maybe the mighty GOLDS!
I have an early 1970's Yamaha CA 1000 amp and Infinity 2000A speakers with NON Functioning electrostatic tweeters which I have been listening to because of the high price of repair, if even possible. I purchased these new in the early 70's. I am looking at replacing my Infinity's and am looking at Emotiva Nostala Lb 12's or Klipsh Heritage forte IV's and would appreciate any input.

The MOST important part of your audio system is your Receiver Amp/Pre-Amp. A good receiver can make even a cheap pair of speakers sound decent, but even a $20k pair of speakers won't help a cheap receiver sound any better, in fact, it'll sound worse.

Only one of those speakers doesn't give me total grandpa vibes and it's still borderline. The Scansonic MB2.5B kicks for $3,500 and is actually something you'd want in your home unless you're geriatric or a total nerd.
Saying that the KLH 5 design is Kloss design is ridiculous. Both Klipsch and KLH price increases are abusive .For me if I am going to go all Grateful Dead/Phil Spector "Wall Of Sound," ( hey just thought of that link maybe adding Brian Wilson mono recordings) get a Cornwall.Go big or go home. All are OK but you might as well add Wharfdale Super Lintons.I'd rather loom for some use La Scala's or Cornwall III.Havent heard the Fynes

Great video. I love my KLH Model 5s. Still have them even though my current main system is focused on Spendor 2/3 speakers. (Bought the stands for them at Upscale, too!) In any event, the KLH are fantastic- cannot go wrong. I'll add that you get the most from them with a powerful amp. Yes, you can drive them with 50, even 35 watt amps... but you really need a power reservoir available to open them up, even at polite levels (75db). They express themselves better with a little power. Get a 100 watt amp and you'll be fine. (Less if a pretty good class A amp)
@rog86Totally different. Spendor is built around a midrange that is not equaled. Soft dome tweeter, as well, so they sound totally different. I’d say the Spendor are more natural. They’re twice as expensive so you’d expect that. But the Model 5s are great all around speakers. They are not as resolving, but surprising so when you first hear them with good equipment. They are very good with rock, jazz is good, too. Maybe not so much with dense music such as some classical pieces. But every speaker has a weakness. The Model 5s are very dynamic! Punchy as hell. The Spendor are more refined.
Nothing there I would purchase, as to Horn speakers...RCA and Western Electric are the grandfathers of Horns and Paul Klipsch (wisdom is long gone), made it possible for home use.
Paul Klipsch.... no Bullshit
I love my Cornwall IV and just ordered a pair of Heresy!
Found my klipschhorns at a pawnshop i can't afford the shirt on my back but i will NEVER sell them
Paul Klipsch is my favorite speaker designer. His original Klipsch speaker is still in production after more than 60 years - a testament to the brilliance and inspiration of his speaker sense. I love that his speaker designs are so efficient. Bill Sellers
Klipsch❤
Have Forte IV, Heresy IV and 1980 Heresy I 😎🤘
Heresy IV's are my choice for a medium size room powered by a small tube integrated amp.
KLH Model 5 , Inakustik LS-1002 speaker cables , T+A A2000AC power amp (dual mono ), Eversolo DMP-A6 Master Edition ( Linear Source upgrade) Streamer/DAC and Van Den Hul D-102 Hybrid MkIII - XLRs connectors. still running Klipsch KLF 10'S DAILY oh yeah get some
ive got to go with klipsch as the heresy is my next dream speaker. i love my klipscheses,
Heresy 4s would be my choice for sure paired with a good tune amp !! Great job on the video. Truly enjoyed the good vive.
Bought my Klipschorn's brand new 46 years ago , they are the best things I have ever purchased . Klipschorns's at home Heresy's at the cottage.
I love Andrew Jones designs... I'm saving my money for the MoFi V10
The V10's are badass.
great choice man now just pair it with capable amp, and you have heaven.
I have the 888. you'd be joyed with the V10. They're revelatory
@Mishael_Agyei-Boamahhow much they cost. I'm planning to buy elac debut 63. just to see how long I have to prolong waiting 😊
@Trrenik0kbthe 888 cost me $3,900 in my area cos I got a demo unit pair from a shop I'm a customer of. The MSRP of the 888 is $4,999
I think you are correct, any of these speakers are a great choice for a good sounding system. The Heresy IV would be my choice, only because I remember that sound growing up. I am open minded though. Great job guys, very informative 👍
Paul Klipsch is my favorite.
Really great video. Makes sense you are the sales leader. Very good communication. Thank you!
I can proudly say I have owned Linton 85th, Heresy 4, and now Model 5 and Fyne 500SP. However, of all these, the Heresy 4 had my preferred sound profile and it was not picky about what amplifier I connected to it.
I have the Fyne 502SP speakers, they are simply superb.
Considering these. How are the upper mids? Trying to avoid aggressive upper mids.
@carlossilva-m3k1xI’d say they’re very neutral. Not cheap but the best value speaker on the market if that makes sense.
@geoffcunningham6804thx!
I have a Sugden A21 (class A) with my Heresy IVs---love them!
Andrew Jones. I own a pair of source point 10s( original version) . To me, my system sounds as good as far more expensive ones because of the speaker quality. I'd love a pair of his V10s for my next listening space..

Just been on their website…would love to know your impressions
The klipsch are by far my favorite for their warm sound and hornloaded and a statement american piece.
Informative! Interesting that ported (base reflex) speakers dominate market. Im going with Henry Kloss because the AR speakers in the 60s started my hifi journey.
Love my Heresy IV’s . I’m done with the hunt. I run tubes and sub
what sub
Roy Delgado 🤘🏼
Love my Heresy 3 with a modern clone of the Dynaco 35b..awesome.
I’ll take the LaScalas or the Mofi V10s…something that weighs triple digits minimum!
Big speakers 🔊 are just magical ❤
I've have Heresy IV'S, Forte IV'S and have a pair of V10's on order. The V10's are currently out of stock everywhere and it's killing me waiting another month or so.
I really like the Fortes and have them tweaked where they sound so good I can't imagine the V10's blowing them away. But if they do I'm keeping the V10's and putting the Fortes in my wife's system.
@pnichols6500 the V10s will wipe the floor with ur other speakers. I heard them at AAL and they killed! Let me know how you like them!
@pnichols6500I also just got my v10s …how do you like yours compared to the fortes
I own a couple of pairs of acoustic suspension speakers, and I love them, especially my modern KLH Model 5’s.
Wow they've all really gone up in $ over this year. We saw that coming though
Favorite speaker designs Jon Dalquist ans Saul Marabtscfor Dahlquist DQ 10
peter snell and kevin voecks
I bought the Fyne F500SP from Chris at Upscale, hey Chris! Love these speakers, the imaging on these F500SP speakers is nuts. If you have yet to experience a Fyne speaker and are in the market, give their lineup a serious look. I have mine sitting next to the Cabasse Murano and Zu DW6 Supremes. Been a fan of klipsch for the longest
Klipsch. #1

Love my Heresy IV speakers.
U dont find at times they are harsh and cause listening fatigue. Especially at higher volumes
@MuscleBNNo. I listen happily for hours.
@TheBTG88that's why are ears and personal taste are all different.
@MuscleBNOur ears and personal taste are all different. I have the Heresy IV's and unlike Heres's in the past, they're not harsh. Though I highly recommend using tube equipment or a very carefully chosen solid state amp.
@johncain3212like I said before are ears our different..I listened to the heresy 4, and they were at certain frequencies extremely harsh..
I recently bought Fyne speakers (F303i). They are outstanding for their price.
What an awesome video! Informative from a historical perspective and in terms of the current product. Thanks for this 👌🏾
I want that shirt
Jacques Mahul of Focal
Excellent pre and context in your presentation and grasp
I have always been a Klipsch fan, but those offering from Fyne Audio are peaking my interest.
andrew jones and the elac line
8:49 Kyocera is pronounced key-oh-sara.
Very nice introduction to these speakers. Thank you for your time doing this video.
Jim Winey; great video, thank you
The Five + Atoll IN300. I´m very happy! nice video
I’m a fan Bill Dudleston designs.
This was such an excellent explanation of all these speakers.
Concentric drivers FTW. Love my MoFi SP8’s
Your video clip here is so very dark. I have my brightness up all the way.
This was an excellent overview. Very well done and informative.
Thanks for the comparison - appreciate your videos. I can confirm that the Bass in the Sourcepoint 10 Master Edition is impressive. Midrange and highs are well balanced.
Double impact se version 1 makes the job for me especially on dynamics in this price range..54kg speaker is something 😊😊😊 Great review...
Very well done presentation. 🤔😋
Excellent video.
Very competent employee !!
I have the Klipsch Heresy IV's. Tube Amp running EL34 tubes. Klipsch's motto, " Pissing off neighbors since 1946. And boy do I live by that motto.
Same here but I run a sub also. I’m done I think.
@dougg1075Please post what you're using for a sub. There's times when I really wish I had one too. My other option is I was thinking about upgrading to some Forte IV's. Though those can be a little harder to place in my room.
Interesting, I'm very familiar with EL34 tube. I usually see it in guitar amps, vox, and marshall and such. Didn't know it was used I stereo.
Your pissed neighbors are packing…? 🤔 (!😂!).
FYI - these are the Fyne Audio F502S not the Fyne Audio F502SP
The Fyne Audio F502S are just slightly smaller and are priced more toward $3,000
The Fyne Audio F502SP are priced at about $ 6,300
Multiple components are upgraded and they are made in the UK as opposed to China
The Fyne F5xxS are actually made in Indonesia, not China, but thank you for clarifying the nomenclature confusion.
Love my KLH model five
Coooolll! I’m checking out the website right now and am seeing new stands for the Heresy’s, then check out RUclips and see this newly posted video, as I’m listening to my Heresy’s😂 Definitely getting the new stands. That's awesome! Glad you're enjoying the Fyne Audio F500SP, they are incredible speakers.
I love my Aerial Acoustics 7T’s designed by Michael Kelly.
I just heard the Fyne's at CAF and came away very impressed but the videos Andrew Jones has done on the Mofi's has left me very impressed and would love to compare the two for my next speaker selection.
Robin Marshall. Epos. :)
My favourite: Greg Timbers
Philharmonic BMR
They just don't sell them, so will never make the list.
Karl-Heinz Fink, works for Epos these days.
Andrew Jones for me
I was hoping for some suggestions of the amp for klh5
John Dunlavy. I've had my SC-V's for over 20 years. Not convenient, need a big room and setup is tricky - but if you get it right ......
I have owned the Gold i for 27 years and to this day they are simply amazing, just a brilliant design
Martin Logan ESL not mentioned….I bought them used 10 years ago and they work great. Made in USA
Classic HiFi and automobiles not like classic computers
What amplifiers will make the KLH model 5 sound their best ?
Best integrated amp for the klh model five ?
Where you get that shirt ?
when do we hear the speakers?
Ugh! Now I want to spend more money on speakers again. . My wife would throw me out if I did.
James Bullough Lansing.
Bought the KLH Model 5 from Upscale a few years back. How does is compare to the MoFi? A huge upgrade or not really?
7:51 This is what Grock has to say about electrostatic speakers “Peter Walker invented the first successful full-range electrostatic loudspeaker (Quad ESL) in 1957. Chose magnetic line array
Over electrostatics, maintenance
The MOST important part of your audio system is your Receiver Amp/Pre-Amp. A good receiver can make even a cheap pair of speakers sound decent, but even a $20k pair of speakers won't help a cheap receiver sound any better, in fact, it'll sound worse.
WATKINS GEN 4- Made in USA $2999 and they beat all of these speakers 41hz-20kkz +/- 2db
If it looks like a box 📦
Listening to hardrock and metal for 99% of the time, which one would you say packs the best bassdrum punch and lets the guitars rip the best?
MoFi
I have Cornwall 1.5s and Heresy 2s among a bunch of speakers. I have not heard the Heresy 4s, but while I adore my Cornwalls, I find the Heresy 2s the least impressive vintage speaker I've ever owned or heard. I totally get the hype about the Cornwalls. I'm baffled by the Heresy hype. But, again, I haven't heard the 4s. I haven't heard the Fyne units, but I love the way they look. Curious about the Mofi too.
I wasn't the biggest fan of the Klipsh Heresy's back in 1982. The Heresy IV's sound really nice. I recommend a tube amp, or a very carefully chosen solid state amp. The nice thing about the Heresy's is , the whole room becomes a sweet spot.
Uh...No Edgar Villchur?
Andrew Jones designed the MoFi, but their ads feature an all-female crew. What a shame.
The problem with the "speakers are the most important part of the system" old hat, is that, speakers don't "Make" the signal, they only output what is put in. So the old adage, "rubbish in, rubbish out" comes into play. Thinking that way, the speakers become the least important part. (though they all have an important role to play).
You left out Super Linton. $3,600 plus tax for Heresy IV and still need a subwoofer ?
K”eye”ocera is acceptable, but “Key”ocera is the actual correct pronunciation
So which of the four speakers would be best for rock and progressive music?
if you want faithful playback, get the Sourcepoint 10 Master Edition. If you want various level of tonal colour that can sometimes change how the music sound but you like it, then any of the rest fit the bill. I am in the let the music shine without interference camp. Also the imaging is best on the MoFi since they have the best driver integration there directivity wise
You have to try and listen for yourself. So many people's opinions online are extremely biased for for against a certain brand or designer so you will never get an accurate answer. I don't have a bias for a or against a brand but I do not like any concentric design. They all sound harsh to me. Mofi, KEF, Tannoy, doesn't matter I don't like them but you might. So my opinion is going to be against the Mofi and the Fyne but they may be great for you. However, rock music and Klipsch Heritage products are usually a match made in heaven.
At this time I'd have to say my favorite speaker designer is Eric Alexander of Tekton Design.
How do they compare to the Spendors?
@rog86Totally different. Spendor is built around a midrange that is not equaled. Soft dome tweeter, as well, so they sound totally different. I’d say the Spendor are more natural. The Spendor are more refined.
One thing I forgot to add: the KLH disappear remarkably well for large box speakers. And they can throw down a tremendous soundstage width.
Klipsch Klipsch Klipsch that's all .
No, no no that's all
Nothing there I would purchase, as to Horn speakers...RCA and Western Electric are the grandfathers of Horns and Paul Klipsch (wisdom is long gone), made it possible for home use.
Way too fugly i will keep my infinity kappa 8
i wanna see all these revewers hear above 15khz or there imput does not matter! They are OLD. Ears dies with age
