They filled out paperwork on who would get the kids if the adults were arrested. At that time, there was a custody arrangement from Robyn’s divorce and the kids would go to Preston. Robyn also said in a more recent season that she doesn’t like to disappoint her kids, so she never tells them anything until they are walking out the door to do it. However, Robyn also said that everytime Kody tucks her kids into bed, he says he wished he could adopt them and they wished he could adopt them. Sounds like she was using the kids to help manipulate Kody.
