The current 707 reminds me of first gen f-pace svr - brilliant engine and chassis but lacking tech and infotainment. Jag sorted that with the facelift, so I bought one. Likewise here, I’ll wait for Aston to put latest mbux in it, then I’ll swap the svr for a 707
You’re alone in apparently criticising the presence of buttons versus having touchscreens. Most other reviewers and journos are in tune with the buying public which, in the main, are pushing for a return to buttons.
I’m not sure who this car is aimed at. It’s a bit dated in terms of tech, and for the willy waivers the Ferrari, Lamborghini and Rolls Royce competitors will always look more appealing. It’s a bit of a dud, in my opinion.
All those "yellow bits" are options. There are other colours available, even carbon fiber if you so wish. You don't have to tick the yellow/lime colour if you don't like it. In fact, if you choose to spec your car via the Aston Martin Q Personalisation division, you can pretty much tell Aston Martin what materials and colours to put in your car (within reason, of course).
Lets be real, these SUVs all look the same whether it is a Kia, Toyota, Lexus, Porsche, Jaguar, Maserati, Lamborghini, Bentley or Aston Martin. What is the point in building a high performance SUV? It all started with hideous vehicles like the BMW X6.
Customers who actually buy these luxury vehicles beg to differ. High performance SUVs are the best selling models ever, for every luxury carmaker that has introduced an SUV - Porsche, Lamborghini, Bentley.
