I went back to uni at 26 too. It was the best decision I ever made. My BA was pretty rough (hello depression) but going back felt so much better! I had an actual goal beyond Bs and Cs get degrees

    1. I am 4 years older than the people my year in Uni. No one cares. Enjoy learning!
    2. I feel you! Everything you described, I feel you.
    3. I LOOOOOVE the yarn you made! I want to get carting brushes and a drop spindle and make scrap yarn now!

When I went to college in 2010, I had a classmate who was forty, finishing up her law degree now that her children were grown, and there was a man ("an old hippie") in his seventies who was probably there to learn something while bored from retirement. College and learning are for all ages, heck yeah!

Your yarn turned out beautiful ! Gave me more incentive to do something with my scrap yarn. I think your dream of going back to school is great and I wish you success. I did the college after high school, marriage and kids. Than when I was 33 (kids about 8 & 9) I went back to college (uni) to get my Bachelor of Science degree making audio-visual stuff for use in the medical field. All without the use of computers (think 1970's :) In many ways I think it was easier at that time than when I was much younger - ADHD not withstanding. Go ahead and follow your dreams and make the art that brings peace to you heart.

I'm an enthusiast of fiber arts and the idea of recycling old materials so this video captured me quickly 😆

Beautiful fun yarn! Education with purpose is so much more valuable than “I finished high school, university is next”. So happy for you. Fashion education teaches stuff that our moms and grans just never knew - like what is a Good Thread. (the cheapest, right?) Go pursue!!

❤ love your unorganized spinning!! It is so creative and enjoyable 😊 Congratulations on making desicion of going to fashion school to really learn professional sewing ! I just started to learn to sew on my lste 50's and it is important to get good tecniques for sewing .. Do not create any stigmas about age when it comes to learning ! I started college at 27 years old at usa . That was my second career . The economy at that time was causing airlines companies to close down and traveling industry was on hold . My travel and tourism career was affected by the harsh economy. I had to go back to College. I studied really hard for sometime . I Graduated as a Cardio Pulmonary Therapist..and had a enjoyable career. English was a second languaje for me and I was in my 30's. I found a new group of friends that still have until now..All new doors open up ..Please, dream of the goals and all the beautiful things you will create Dream big ! Age is just a number . I met people in collegue in there 50's going to school just to fullfilled their dream of graduating ..Education has no age . Wish you all the best !! ❤ 😊
