  • Happy week two of PMD month, Dragoknights! Yesterday I bought myself a Dalek so I'm all happy. It is Monday, my sweet little petunias, and that mean music! We find ourselves in week two of PMD month and how better to celebrate week two of PMD month than by going to the beach and not swimming because it's still minus 20 in the water? Let's go to Beach Cave and explore the crags and tidal pools instead, dude. It'll be like Series of Unfortunate Events but with more pasty nerdy people tripping over things and trying to find an LTE hotspot to tweet about how they wish they were back in their cozy nerd lair. I remember Beach Cave today so clearly from my first encounter with it, and the very first thing I noticed was the music and how playful it was for a first dungeon. Tiny Woods always seemed intense and hurried to me, and Ragged Mountain is just obnoxiously gorgeous...but Beach Cave is fun! Beach Cave is not a song or a place I see discussed often (or hardly ever) and I don't really get that. It's a pretty cool area in general, and Lapras likes to chill there when you've finished the game-and if it's good enough for her, it's good enough for me! I tried to go as playful as possible with this, with a lot of bouncy staccato instruments and a nice upbeat tempo, so I hope I conveyed that. Anyway, I need a coffee or something because I just woke up.
I'm just saying I'm super close to 800 followers on Twitter and if you haven't followed me by now I do tweet updates on music stuff, a little bit of my goings on, and a lot of Pokémon related stuff. I also try not to spam, so if that's still even a relevant sales point... / happydragonite wink wink
DOWNLOAD: On hiatus. My service provider, Box, is being a butt and yeah. Sorry for the inconvenience!
Music sounds better with headphones. Pop 'em in, and listen to the magical ear fireworks.

Quick F.A.Q. (Testing this out for the people that can't seem to find the F.A.Q.)
    Q: Download links?
A: I was having some technical difficulties with my service provider since the Summer of 2013, and I am in the process of getting download links back. Please be patient.
Q: You used my art in one of your videos, can I have credit?
A: If you are the original artist all you need to do is ask. Send me a RUclips PM, email, tweet, etc-and I will credit you. I don't get art for individual videos, so I can't collect every single link; but if you ask I will oblige happily.
Q: What do you use to produce your music?
A: High quality samples and Logic Pro 9. For video editing I use iMovie 9, and for image editing I flip-flop between Pixelmator and Photoshop CS-something.
Q: Can I use your music in a video or a monetized video?
A: Absolutely. You don't even need to ask my permission, just write my username in the description of your video and it's all good. No need to make it all complicated. Go right ahead.
Q: How can I help support your channel ie. donations?
A: I don't accept donations at this time, but watching my videos (liking etc.) helps. If you have adblock on, if you turned it off to watch the videos of the people you watch on RUclips that would be super cool.
So let's talk a bit about that "Quick F.A.Q." instead of goof around for a end of video description thing (which I promise will resume next week don't get mad please, dude.). I noticed a lot of new viewers (ain't no shame, new Dragoknights. Errybody has their questions.) have some basic questions that I DO answer on my F.A.Q. which is in my pile of links, but I guess people either have ignored that or whatever so I just feel like this would be a simple solution to that. If you have any ideas or thoughts about streamlining that, I am completely open to suggestions, so hit me up. Older Dragoknights, it would be super cool if you could either answer some of these for me (so I can be a lazy butt) or at least direct your compadres to the description where they can find an F.A.Q.. Thanks, people.

The cove area in Pokepark 2. Way to underrated game and in the cove area there is so much to do and so many interesting pokemon. It's also where you get Oshawott who is awesome.

Definitely Undella Town. I love the different music based on the season.
Idk if this counts as a watery dungeon but I love Crystal Cave and Crystal Lake

I have to say either the fourth or fifth island of the sevii islands. 4th because pokemon show their love to each other only there (as far as you know) and 5th because you get togepi there, the pokemon of happiness. I might've mixed up the names, but those are my favourite. My favorite watery place in pmd is surrounded sea, where you get manaphy.

Can't wait to get some download links for these new songs! I love Stormy Sea, by the way. Mystery Dungeon Games are so nostalgic to me.

Remind me, when I finally do my lp of this game, to use your orchestrations. Thank you for doing this very under-done track.

the instrument that played the main melody (idk if it's music box or some kind of key instrument or whatever it is) could have been a bit louder and have less reverb imo, it's kinda hard to recognize the melody because all that echo. maybe a bit more work with the volume leveling would have been good because i think that instruments that aren't in that big role in the song are too loud, while the instrument that play the melodies etc. (like the one i was talking about in the beginning) are a bit too quiet. maybe that's just me.
otherwise good work on this good bud
also, my favorite beach area is probably slav- i mean, slateport city's beach ha

    • @HappyDragonite
      @HappyDragonite  10 лет назад

That would be the celesta, and I agree. I don't think it needs to be louder, but I could have most certainly cut the reverb in half. Second though: yes, hearing it combined with the strings now it should be a titch louder. It does get a bit lost with that reverb. Gosh I'm all over the place. Live commenting with Rusty is great.
Anyway, thanks! I'll be sure to keep those things in mind for future projects.
