Biggest risk I ever took was moving to Chicago at 24. I had $400 on a credit card and slept on my friend’s floor for months. I did improv and got really really good at it. I stayed for 6 years until I had a mental health crisis, lost my job, and my apartment. Now I’m 31 and living with my mom. And I’m very far from giving up. I didn’t work for close to a year before I secured a new job this past October. Now I’m going to start saving up, and plan to move back to Chicago in the Fall. My family doesn’t want me to. Coworkers have their doubts. But what they don’t understand is that I’m prepared to sleep on a floor again for as long as I have to. I’m never ever giving up, and I’m always going to take risks.
Or simply, be strong from body mind spirit and knowledge, get. Power like government officer or something, become influencer...then it'll be act as boost...yeah..but quitting is just idiot Box office
The days when a film or any piece of art could “Change the world” are long over. Following your artistic ambitions is great, but thinking you’ll change the world or even make a dent in our fractured culture you’re lying to yourself or letting others lie to you.
"Changing the world" is impossible, yes. However, we can IMPROVE the lives of individuals, so that people can interact with the fractured cultures with more knowledge and wisdom; in so doing the people may escape the pits the world tries to make people fall into.
“What else you gonna do? Read people magazine and eat at Wendy’s till the end of time?” -George Carlin Hey, it’s true. Get out there and get after it. Step up to the mic and let ‘em know.
I’m all for people following their dreams but let’s be real here and state the fact that no job in Hollywood is going to “change the world” its perhaps the only industry that has little to no benefit to people’s lives and it is an industry that attracts narcissists for a reason. If you want to change the world then become a politician or an activist, if you want to help people become a doctor, surgeon or carer but make no mistake you would be incredibly naive to assume you are making any kind of societal difference in any job in Hollywood so let’s make that clear right now and stop using phrases like “change the world” you’re not and that’s okay, it’s perfectly fine to want a cool job that you love but just accept the fact that most jobs are self serving.
What's the biggest risk you have ever taken?

@@GoodFightofFaithClub - Good luck with that. Reality begs to differ.
@ Do you believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins, my sins, and the sins of the whole world?
I tried quitting and found out i wasn't ready. I get some of my ideas from my day jobs.

@ It was part of his “take a chance” rant. One of the later 90s specials. Jamming in New York or live at the paramount or something in there.
Thank you for such an inspirational conversation -- it is highly motivating.
I ran on top of a Taylor Mountain in Wyoming during a storm. Lighting struck 50 feet away.

Films and documentaries have absolutely changed the world and greatly benefit people's lives all over the world. Blackfish is just one example.
