Most important thing: FIND THE OTHER QUEER KIDS. I came out in junior year and began befriending all the other trans ppl in my grade. Now we stick by each other no matter what. It's really nice to have those connections. Highschool can be isolating as hell, especially for trans students, but finding the other queer kids will make it so much easier. Hang in there y'all. 💕
I got a story I've come to realize I'm a nonbinary lesbian, but before that I used to identify as bisexual. And one day I had a bi pin and a pride flag pin on my backpack and some jerk was asking what the flag meant as a way to get under my skin (he had been making homophobic jokes all class and picking on people when they went by different pronouns) So when he asked that I yelled loudly that it means I'm gay and everyone in the hallway got quiet and I just continued walking. It was embarrassing but I've also never been that badass so B) Ik it doesn't have to do with being under the trans umbrella or being trans in general but I think it's a fun story lol This was also very entertaining! ✨️
