Executive Editor Martin Baron has led major U.S. newsrooms to win 14 Pulitzer Prizes

- ICFJ's 2019 Founders Award for Excellence in Journalism winner Martin “Marty” Baron is the Executive Editor of The Washington Post. Newsrooms under his leadership have won 14 Pulitzer Prizes, including seven at The Post. During his tenure, The Post has won four times for national reporting, and once each for investigative reporting, explanatory reporting and public service, the latter in recognition of revelations of secret surveillance by the National Security Agency.
