That's usually just based on the custom model data value, not really the name of the item itself.

That's correct, unicodes don't work on 1.8. There are plugins that might work for 1.8, but it's a pretty old version and not many resources are supporting it for things like this

Sadly, custom minecraft textures are x1.16 and above, in older versions, custom textures are not recognized and if you want to do something else in 1.8.9, you will need to replace original minecraft textures

@@darnystreams Because they use CEM, CIT and else and they are optifine features, i you play vanilla use optifine, if you use sodium, try using these mods : CIT, CEM, OPTIGUI
