- Using pine cones to create zinnias is a fun and easy craft that can be used in a number of decorations. Rebecca Turk, Director of Education and Events at Moore Farms Botanical Garden, visits us at "Making It Grow" and shows Clemson Extension Agent Amanda McNulty how fun and simple it is. Rebecca also shares some of her tips she has learned and shows the different ways they can be used.

I love Zinnias and grow them every year. This project is wonderful!
I have a cedar rose pinecone tree in my front yard. The pine cones look like roses when they open. No need to cut them as they are already the perfect size. I already have them prepped/debugged. Going to forage pinecones throughout my property as I have lots of various pine trees.

What did you use to cut your pinecone? I've done this project several times, but I always use the full Cone. I would love to cut them in half
Instead of a dowel, why not use chop sticks? Nice and cheap! I love this pine cone craft!!!

Some people bake them at 300 F, don't know for how long. I've also heard of dipping them in a bleach solution.

Pine cones not available in India. What's the option for it. Glue gun is dangerous in use. Tell some other harmless thing.
Sunita issar this video is about pinecones paint and hot glue. An alternative for you would be to watch another video! Without the pinecones and hot glue you just have paint. Pick a craft with items you could get and don't involve hot glue.
