Oh I missed you! And worried too... Hope all is well with you all! Great tutorial, it's very good for those who are starting to use a software to have at least a basic tutorial to start And for those who already know, the truth is that sometimes you end up discovering a little thing or another that you missed and didn't know 🤭
the little thing I keep accidentally rediscovering is that the *MINUS* key is extremely important when silencing audio. To silence it, you need to set it -100. But you end up mostly deaf when you forget the minus key and set it to 100 instead (remembering that ZERO is full volume) lol. I just did it again by accident. Every time, I think I've learned my lesson. Then I do it again :P

@@coffeelover1456 no pressure on reproducing the red bar annoyance! But say you get a full episode of a show (Game of Thrones, Witcher etc, like 50 mins) and want to edit 30 seconds of it. You open the Cutter and Splitter tool and set the markers, then you close the tool and delete the segments on either side of the part you want to keep. Then you open Cutter and Splitter again to more precisely trim your 30 seconds frame by frame, and unfortunately the _entire_ episode is retained, so if you skip back too far in your clip you go to an earlier point in the deleted part of your episode (and if you accidentally edit the deleted part, it deletes your clip) 😱 Prior to the update, the parts you delete would remain deleted, making editing your work in the Cutter and Splitter easy and precise. Now it's not only difficult, it's also dangerous because it's easy to accidentally edit the deleted part and lose your edit!! I've just stopped using the Cutter and Splitter entirely, which is sad because it's a great tool - but it's very odd that someone decided it would be beneficial to retain all the deleted material (especially considering it ruins your edit if you accidentally work in the red part which is easy when you're trying to work with a tiny clip within a huge amount of deleted footage). If it affects enough people they may revert it back to how it used to be, fingers crossed! (or maybe there is an advanced editing reason to retain the deleted material?). But other than that I love the program!! Though I am still slightly deaf from turning my audio to 100 instead of MINUS 100 lol oops fail. I did it twice tonight somehow :p It's 4.42am here, I am also going to sleep ^_^

So I've been using this software for awhile and I have to say the recent update has caused alot of frustration. Cutting and Splitting footage has never been more confusing and unintuitive. I cut a scene from footage and the cut scene still the ENTIRE video itself, which means its hard to keep track of where the specific piece of footage is. If you stretch the footage slightly in either direction you completely lose the scene. Why was this decision made? Cutting and splitting was so easy before this update. Is there anyway at all I can access the previous version of VSDC?
How to start? I own your program and have used it so little as I find that its very easy to get lost just trying to make a video I turn to anther program as I find its easy to get what I need dont in few clicks and it runs my 2000X video speed good.. When doing this in yours I have yet to get it to work.. Its something in your program thats eating up a lot of system. If other video editors can do it smoothly at 720 and yours is so much better, why dose it hang up.. Yes I have gone threw your videos on how to fix it with little luck. What I found is that If I edit the basic video, speed it up and then build it as a MP4 and bring it back in and add all the other stuff it runs much better. This was my work around to the problem of dealing with such speeds.. (amd ryzen 7 5700G 3.80 -16 GB - win 11 pro) .. Over all the program can be very overwhelming to new users who know little about this and has what I would call a steep learning curve. The click her then over here, then this , and that, move this, click that, ok on that box, next, and pow you just got your first name in... you get what Im saying.. As you know your program in and out and understand what it can do I was hopping that you guy would come up with what I would like to call a "LITE version" of your program.. Something to think about.. TY and I will keep plugging away.
I don't know if I understood correctly what you said, so if I say something that doesn't correspond with what you said, please disregard... I could see this for some people that I introduced VSDC who don't work professionally with video editing but want to make their videos with quality... Of course, you shouldn't expect miracles because editing and finishing videos requires equipment with a good standard of performance at the very least; Lite Version: I didn't understand it, I couldn't make the slightest sense so I can't talk about it; Workflow: I didn't understand the flow you reported in the msg, the problem you faced, I honestly couldn't understand it, but it seems to me something strange in the how-to process and not in VSDC

@Lankster Price - I have no editing training at all, and only properly started using comps for editing a couple of years ago (I'm in my 30s) yet I have found VSDC the easiest and simplest to master for what I require :o I have even been able to invent new things I couldn't find tutorials for (like extreme custom art subtitles). I am editing very heavy 1080p footage for hours on end every day, and I do all of this on the free version, on an Acer all-in-one comp I bought in maybe 2016? It's system is so old/low that I am totally unable to upgrade to Windows 11. I tried other programs but couldn't get them to run on my comp. What program are you using that is easier and runs more smoothly because I have never come across one, especially at a comparable price (ie free)!

Nice, with it's absurdily low requirements (1 GB RAM, I mean come on, chrome consumes more RAM than this whole video editor) one might think this editor only does basic stuff but it does pack quite the punch! Now there are more advanced alternatives out there, but I don't think an old laptop is gonna appreciate them, so a mid-advanced editor for low end PC's running smoothly seems pretty promising!

Wanted to ask about an issue I’ve had with cutting and splitting. I understand how it works, and have been able to get through my videos fine, but whenever I make a split in my video, it takes forever to load and will normally bring the program into not responding. My pc is more than powerful enough, and I have the pro version bought for the extra hardware acceleration. This problem makes editing my videos take much much longer, and was wondering if there were any recommendations on how I could possibly fix this?
Hello. Sometimes a preview window may lag. Lagging is resulted from the fact that the editor is processing all changes made. It doesn’t affect the resulted video Have you seen this tutorial: ruclips.net/video/JASSFWJHwbw/видео.html&t ? hello, I just installed the software, but compared to the workspace of the editor in your videos, my workspace is too tight, it's like the different parts of the workspace are squeezed together, it gives a claustrophobic feeling, even the video preview is really small, my PC resolution is 1080 x 1920, is there any way to make it look for a lack of better word "wider"? Do you need a screenshot of my workspace?
Hello, please consult this tutorial ruclips.net/video/GjZlw-so0QQ/видео.html Our team generally records tutorials on 4K or 2K screens, which means the workspace might appear slightly different on regular HD monitors. However, there's a simple solution to ensure a consistent experience. You can manually customize your workspace and save this configuration using the convenient "panes manager" feature. This will allow you to tailor the layout to your specific needs and avoid any display inconsistencies: prnt.sc/iZZbVSpY4W8t
Nice entry level tutorial, very helpful, thanks. I have a question, is it possible to add chapters in VSDC? I am making home videos of my kids and those can be quite long. I would like the ability to add chapters so I could easily skip to the next chapter with my remote instead of the longer and not as precise fast forward. I have been looking everywhere for this but can't find the answer, which makes me doubt if it's even possible, which I would think it is as this doesn't seem to be an advance features. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
@@VSDCFreeVideoEditor Thanks for the reply. My understanding is that MP4 does support the additions of chapters, yet all the video editing softwares I have looked at don't seem to supports this unless it is to create DVDs or BluRays. In an age where unfortunately physical media is disappearing and digital media is prominent, I would think this feature would have been made available when creating digital content as it is pretty useful, especially if you are creating long files. Anyway, just something to think about for your future development. Thanks again for the reply.

Additionally, you can use the "Set blocks order" option to rearrange files: prnt.sc/ixLD11h7SdED If you require any further information, feel free to contact us at support@videosoftdev.com.
I was trying to combine a bunch of clips to make a time lapse video. I cannot find a way to apply it to all the clips at once. Is there a way to do it once I convert them to a sprite?
Hi. Just I want to know why the videos after converting. Are so large. They are very big. I mean size of the videos. A video of 1 hour sized 4GB.(videos for RUclips channel). Please answer me.
Hello, The size of the exported file depends on its bitrate. Please consult our tutorial - ruclips.net/video/yGRXVXRTWz0/видео.html The program calculates mathematically it in a different way, it doesn’t display the original bitrate of the video that you can find in file’s properties. The file size cannot be lower than the input one because while conversion VSDC encodes a new file. If you want to keep good quality, you need to set high bitrate, but the higher bitrate is, the large file you get after export. Also, you can set up the file size in the Profile settings, but it may potentially affect the output quality. (Edit profile --> Encoder mode --> Target file size --> File size --> OK ) If you require any further information, feel free to contact us at support@videosoftdev.com
Hello, just like any other video, creating musical videos begins with importing your media into the program. Drag your files onto the timeline, arrange them, and use cutting tools for precise trimming. Following this, you can initiate the synchronization process between video and audio, and our channel offers various tutorials on this subject. If you lack a video track, consider adding audio abstractions or text to the scene. For synchronizing any on-screen object with the music's rhythm, the "Edit the Beat" tool proves invaluable. In essence, the editor provides a multitude of tools depending on your creative goals. Feel free to contact us at support@videosoftdev.com, and our support team will be more than happy to assist you with any questions or requests.

Well, I'm sure if there's anyone here who isn't taken seriously and doesn't have credit, it's you. hello, I just installed the software, but compared to the workspace of the editor in your videos, my workspace is too tight, it's like the different parts of the workspace are squeezed together, it gives a claustrophobic feeling, even the video preview is really small, my PC resolution is 1080 x 1920, is there any way to make it look for a lack of better word "wider"? Do you need a screenshot of my workspace?
Hello, please consult this tutorial ruclips.net/video/GjZlw-so0QQ/видео.html
Our team generally records tutorials on 4K or 2K screens, which means the workspace might appear slightly different on regular HD monitors.

Thanks.
Hello, thanks for the feedback.
Unfortunately, this feature is not available in VSDC
@@VSDCFreeVideoEditor Thanks for the reply.
My understanding is that MP4 does support the additions of chapters, yet all the video editing softwares I have looked at don't seem to supports this unless it is to create DVDs or BluRays.
In an age where unfortunately physical media is disappearing and digital media is prominent, I would think this feature would have been made available when creating digital content as it is pretty useful, especially if you are creating long files.
Anyway, just something to think about for your future development.
Thanks again for the reply.

What is best setting exfort for video gaming ? ...
when I finished editing my video, I tried to export it but the results weren't good, the file size was large but the video quality was broken
can you help me please ? ... 🙏
Hello,
To help you resolve the issue, we need more information about the project you’re working on (about the effect you’ve applied/the setup you’re using/the project settings you’ve selected/your video format/etc)
Please email us at support@videosoftdev.com and provide us with a detailed description.
I have to isolate the small clip of a few seconds from a long video. I have isolated the clip using split into parts button and deleted the unwanted regions. But when i start the video, its showing me blank black screen with no sound at the area where i deleted the video part. Can you tell me how to remove that blank area and how to fix this problem using which command?
Hello,
You can simply drag one file next to another on the timeline using your mouse to close any empty spaces.
Additionally, you can use the "Set blocks order" option to rearrange files: prnt.sc/ixLD11h7SdED
If you require any further information, feel free to contact us at support@videosoftdev.com.
Thank You
I was trying to combine a bunch of clips to make a time lapse video. I cannot find a way to apply it to all the clips at once. Is there a way to do it once I convert them to a sprite?
Hello, unfortunately, you cannot change the speed parameter for multiple objects at the same time.
Hi. Just I want to know why the videos after converting. Are so large. They are very big. I mean size of the videos. A video of 1 hour sized 4GB.(videos for RUclips channel). Please answer me.
Hello,
The size of the exported file depends on its bitrate. Please consult our tutorial - ruclips.net/video/yGRXVXRTWz0/видео.html
The program calculates mathematically it in a different way, it doesn’t display the original bitrate of the video that you can find in file’s properties.
(Edit profile --> Encoder mode --> Target file size --> File size --> OK )

How can I get started in editing musical video as beginner.
Feel free to contact us at support@videosoftdev.com, and our support team will be more than happy to assist you with any questions or requests.

is there a way to not get vsdc video to check for updates everyday.
yes, go to options (upper right corner), in the Options window that will open, go to the General Options tab (on the left side of the window), in the right pane of the window you will have the option to check for updates... it's a combo of options and you can choose how often to check for updates.

Using a cartoon avatar with green hair as a teacher .... it just looks childish and adds to the reason why vsdc is not taken seriously and still underrated by many. Please bring on a real human as a teacher as you see done with other video editors who are taken seriously.
Well, I'm sure if there's anyone here who isn't taken seriously and doesn't have credit, it's you.
VSDC is a video editing software that can be used in a professional context, I even incorporated it into my professional workflow.
The choice of representation has nothing to do with the quality of the software or the work that the team does here on the channel, but I see that your intellect is too short to understand this.
Everyone feels very good to learn from the figure because it reflects movements of a human.
Don't blame your inability to learn on others, this is ugly and demonstrates, among other things, a lack of morals.
And to help you out a little...
This is not a cartoon, neither conceptually nor technically speaking... try to learn before you speak, you will see that you will experience less shame in life.
bruh! i wont say much but this software is one of the best ones in the market and those who use it, take it seriously so dont talk gibberish and be real man/woman.
@@coffeelover1456 Please learn to take ego, emotions and hurt feelings out of a discussion and only then reply. I nowhere wrote anything about the quality of the software but your ego automatically filled that already in for you. I am using vsdc professionally my self.
@@seeithappen1 Well, people like you usually I don't answer, I just forget they exist... but I'll give you a chance... I think you wrote it with ego, thinking you know everything, that what you say represents the truth sovereign, who is the owner of reason... so don't talk to me about ego... I only defended what deserves to be defended and with truths... who insulted the product and the people who work was you when you said so much nonsense, but now I see you don't take what you say... I'm not surprised by your attitude, you've already shown that you're just a child... Do the VSDC community a favor and don't use the product, don't show up here again, the community doesn't need people like you...
Ahhh child, grow up, grow up and become a real man
