i'm a huge fan of your channel, and it's been wonderful to translate into my own practice! in life, we are so busy with work/school/ and other life things; so i guess my question is how one can fit training into a busy lifestyle? i do forms, stances, and intentional practice of my martial arts, but I am curious what you would say would be some ways to really make the most of those small in-between moments of practice.
Thanks Hai Yang. My suggestion for next year is to go take some forms from common taichi routines and break down each posture per episode. Perhaps start with Yang Style 106 Form and then do Chen Style and go from there.
Hello. Sensei Yang: Thank you for your kind approach and teaching. I have two suggestions: First: in the course of the years, you said sometimes, that some of the questions of me and others, deserve a specific Video, that in such cases you could elaborate on them, explain more and so on. May you consider to do so in 2025? Second: some of us, like me, have some questions from time to time that stem from our own and current practice. You have proven (at least from my point of view) that your answers can solve me and others unclear issues in our practice to enhance it and to assist us to delve deeper into the practice or correct false or deviated references to our practice. May you consider to make once a month, or once 3 weeks, a session, in it you will answer questions from the community, as you did in previous years? Thank you, anyway, Ofer
Hi Master Yang, On my side, I especially enjoy videos where you correct students on specific techniques. If ever you decide to do correction videos on weapons techniques (or maybe even weapons applications?), I would definitely be quite interested to see that. Just an idea ;). Happy holidays! Fred
I find your videos very helpful and interesting (especially those specifically about Tai Chi, since I have not studied Ba Gua or Xing Yi). I am sure I would find a video of you doing the Yang style 108 form useful for emulation. If you have already posted this, maybe someone could let me know. Thank you!
Dear Master, thank you very much for the video. Many interesting topics to cover...among them, I would like if you could recommend and show some Kung fu exercises (e.g., taiji, xing yi) to practise with my students or practice partners. Thank you very much and happy holidays! Simone
Hello. I have a request regarding possible videos for the future. I enjoy learning new tai chi or qigong drills, simple exercises that anyone can do in a fairly small space. It would even be possible to make multiple videos with the same exercise, with each video have a simple or a more complex explanation of the principles and postures of that particular exercise.
For 2025 I suggest a focus on 功法. It’s nice to talk about theory and concepts since there is a lot of misunderstandings on those topics. Many people train through form repetitions. But, I think it would be nice to demonstrate and explain some physical movements that connect to theory in order to build skills. Just my opinion and suggestion….
suggestion for 2025: since you've published casual martial art practice series, how about xiu dao practice next? it can be casual practice, or full demonstration, or even instructional.
'Crisp' can be used as an adjective too I think 'flaky' or even 'ropey' might be a better translation for the term meaning easily dismantled Just a guess, thanks for interesting points as usual👍
Gratitude for sharing this invaluable knowledge. 🙏 I’m new to your channel, having discovered it just four days ago, so I hope this question was not already asked and answered. Since a form embodies the parameters and frontiers of certain principles, should a teacher begin by teaching the principles first, or the form itself? There seem to be two schools of thought on this: - Start with the Shifu’s form, practicing without questioning until the student is ready to ask. - Introduce the principles first, even before experimenting with the movements. May I ask your perspective on this? Luc
you asked for suggestions for new content.. i think it would be totally awesome if you created a playlist of videos where you teach your style from the very beginning as if you were teaching us in person.. from the very basic first lesson and build up through time as if we were getting taught in person.. i would love to study with you but i can't as I'm in Scotland it would mean the essence of the correct way to teach, and the correct forms, is preserved too i mean it as in.. from lesson one as if we knew nothing and with you showing the correct form and movements and reasons for them/philosophy of them, as you teach each phase of learning from how to stand in one form, to the most basic movements but in depth and fully explained.. as if you were teaching a total beginner of the style from the beginning could maybe do a playlist for each style.. but start with the fubdamental first lesson of each style and progress as if it is a series of REAL lessons that way you could preserve the essence of the teachings of the styles.. and also we could learn the key points and hopefully come to you in real life and get corrected but with YOU demonstratrng the CORRECT forms.. not your students please!!! it would be so helpful and extremely important as a historic document of the sequence of PROPERLY learning a style from the very first basics and leaving nothing out.. and very clearly showing the CORRECT form and movements and philosophy of each stage of CORRECTLY learning the style (and you telling us what to focus on practicing and key points to focus on). .. demonstrated by you as if we were standing in front of you and having it explained to us because we want to FULLY know the style, from first principles and fully covering each stage of the development of Learning you are REALLY Great.. Thankyou for all you do Best wishes to you from Rolland in Scotland

just make the time to focus on it.. for example, with myself, there's times where instead of sitting on RUclips i could be doing some training

Happy weekend to you! and a Happy Christmas to you all when it comes!!!!
Crispy is a really good way of saying it.. not sure why anyone objected to that

will be answer this week. Thanks,
Master Hai Yang is it possible for you to teach us form and physical techniques? By that I mean show and tell.
I can't access your website.
I am developing a new one.

i would love to study with you but i can't as I'm in Scotland
it would mean the essence of the correct way to teach, and the correct forms, is preserved too
i mean it as in.. from lesson one as if we knew nothing
and with you showing the correct form and movements and reasons for them/philosophy of them, as you teach each phase of learning
from how to stand in one form, to the most basic movements but in depth and fully explained.. as if you were teaching a total beginner of the style from the beginning
could maybe do a playlist for each style.. but start with the fubdamental first lesson of each style and progress as if it is a series of REAL lessons
that way you could preserve the essence of the teachings of the styles.. and also we could learn the key points and hopefully come to you in real life and get corrected
but with YOU demonstratrng the CORRECT forms.. not your students
please!!!
it would be so helpful and extremely important as a historic document of the sequence of PROPERLY learning a style
from the very first basics and leaving nothing out.. and very clearly showing the CORRECT form and movements and philosophy of each stage of CORRECTLY learning the style (and you telling us what to focus on practicing and key points to focus on). .. demonstrated by you as if we were standing in front of you and having it explained to us because we want to FULLY know the style, from first principles and fully covering each stage of the development of Learning
you are REALLY Great.. Thankyou for all you do
Best wishes to you
