    3.2 manual more responsive, we have no problems with caravan, just a quick one roller covers leak like sieves, but saying that wouldn't swap mine for any other 😀😎

    The 2019 Ranger was released here in Australia a year ago which is when I picked up mine. The 3.2 is still available along side the 2.0 Bi Turbo but I decided that the 2.0 was probably a bit of a toy in the long run for a truck of this size so opted for the larger motor. Had no problems and enjoyed the active cruze as well as the fully autonomous braking. Only ever used the parallel park option once as whilst it's fun to watch the vehicle park itself, it actually takes much longer than if you did it yourself, particularly when you're likely to have a queue of traffic waiting for you to park. Sounded a little expensive at £38,000 in the UK considering that the Aussie price is equivalent to around £32,000.

    When can I move in! It’s bigger than my lounge here in London! Lovely pickup. Will go have a look 👀Ford is just down the road! Of course I will need to order one in pink! I love a good rolltop! Thank God the brakes work!!!!!. 😱😱😱😱😱 on the fuel and also what about the environmental aspect of it. Being serious I do like it but if you’re not a farmer then it’s a bit of a boys toy! Lovely presentation of course. Thanks for the viewing!

      😂 Yes it’s the market of people who would use it as a genuine work horse and those that want a U.K. sized American truck. The economy was disappointing but the engine growl was nice. Thanks for watching Peter 👍

    I bought a new 2019 3.2ltr 6 speed automatic Ranger Wildtrack about three months ago. The ford dealership advised me that the 2ltr dual turbo was not strong enough to tow my caravan.. I had decided to take his advice and bought the 3.2ltr.. After watching your review on the 2ltr dual turbo I breathed a sigh of relief as the salesman told me this model had plenty of punch but was not ideal for a heavy van.. the 3.2ltr can tow with ease and fuel consumption is very good in my view.. When towing I get 24mpg when not towing I get 34mpg.. But I agree the truck is awesome and so comfy.. the thing I love is its a commercial vehicle so is not bound by emmissions testing like a car.. My insurance was way cheaper than my car. and its one of the safest vehicles on the road today.. I was surprised to hear that you experienced bouncing in the 2ltr as my 3ltr is fine, perhaps you may try towing with the 3.2ltr instead.. My message to anyone out there is get one as you will love being able to fill the rear bed with caravan stuff including awning etc.. I should have bought a truck years ago.. I fill the rear with all my stuff including water waste and water containers that we need for a trip and my rear seats are completely empty, so plenty of room for my grandchildren.. Anyways we enjoyed your review and I don't blame Jules for wanting one tomorrow. If you would like to see a pic of our ford with the van on the back I would be happy to post it.. Thanks Dave

      Thank you Dave, it was great to be able to have this for a short time and I must say I loved the toys that it came with. I must say that the engine was plentiful and wouldn’t struggle at all and had plenty of grunt. They are a fantastic choice in my eyes for the very reasons you mentioned including chucking all the gear in the back. Thanks so much for watching our review and commenting. 😊👍👍

    I’ve towed multiple trailers with my 3.2 same rear end just depends on what your pulling single axle can be a little bouncy depending how your set up with your towball weight as towing is a bit of a science, also if any a bit weight in the bed, honestly can’t complain about mine it’s a workhorse

    Brilliant review of this amazing pick up and it’s good to hear how it performs when towing. With all the towing you two do I would say you know what you are on about. You also give it a fair review as it is a truck after all. I thought Jules would like this one..it’s more of a statement this sort of car. Thanks for doing this and thanks Ford. I would like to know what the Edge and Kuga are like too.

    Don't forget you can claim back the VAT and if you you are a member of SNFU you get a 6,527 discount bringing the price down to 25,095 for the wild track

      Can only claim VAT back on the Wildtrack and not on the Raptor version☹Taxation class on the Wildtrack is Light Goods Vehicle..If changing from a car / Suv then don't expect your insurance on that vehicle to be able be passed on to the Wildtrack? I've a clean licence + 25 years no claims and was paying £220 a year on an SUV...Insurance for the Ranger they wanted £900 a year😭as the problem being its a goods vehicle! And most insurance companies won't shift from what there computer shows it as..So do your home work 1st 📞📞📞📞need plenty quotes and try to convince the insurance company thats it for private use only!😡

    Great review K & J - I was surprised it was only 2litre for size but guess the turbos help
    I thought interior was a bit plasticky
    Price aside, given that you have driven both would you prefer a pickup like this or the Rexton?
    Presumably the Rexton, although a rigid chassis, doesn’t bounce around
    Thanks again
    Regards
    Howard

    • @HereWeTow
      @HereWeTow  5 лет назад +1

      Hi Howard, I must say the engine was very responsive and extremely capable. I love the ranger and with a cab back would be perfect for us. The boss (AKA Karina) says that she prefers the rexton for the ride and running costs. It’s very much a personal preference and would always recommend people check these out for themselves. Thanks for watching and commenting. 👍👍

    Bought mine new in 2016 with the then 3.2 turbo engine and manual box. Tows my Adria Adora Thames easily. All in all a great vehicle which I thoroughly enjoy.
    Never had better than 30mpg.

    • @HereWeTow
      @HereWeTow  5 лет назад

      That’s interesting on the 3.2 engine as well. Does that have Ad blue as well ?

    • @stephenosborne5623

      @@HereWeTow .....sorry......never heard of Adblue! What nose weight did you have, please, during your towing road test?

    • @HereWeTow
      @HereWeTow  4 года назад

      I take it from that answer that it doesn’t have Ad Blue then. This is an additive that is used to lower the emissions for a diesel vehicle. You have a separate tank to top up and it’s is normally displayed on the vehicle display. 👍 We towed our Adria at 100 kg as that’s what it is advised and we always run at this. Hope that helps. 😊😊👍👍

    • @stephenosborne5623
      @stephenosborne5623 4 года назад

      @@HereWeTow .....many thanks for your reply. I guess my Wildtrak predates Adblue. Just wondered if the nose weight was affecting the bouncing you experienced during towing, but I tow my Adora with 100kgs nose weight as well.

    • @davidthompson882
      @davidthompson882 4 года назад

      Don’t know about 2016 model but my 2017 3.2 is adblue next to fuel filler, also depending how and where you drive I average 30-32 mpg round the doors when up to temp, and travelling steady 70mph on cruise control on the motorway 36-37mpg however I won’t use supermarket diesel as it’s garbage and not good long term

  • @RollingwithTheRobsons

  • @garryclark4653
    @garryclark4653 5 лет назад

    Nice review. Just a quick point you made about parking sensors and the fact that you can’t turn them off in your Rexton, is there not a switch to the right of the steering wheel with a P and a bell sign that switches them off?

    • @HereWeTow
      @HereWeTow  5 лет назад +1

      Hi Garry, yes there is that but that’s for the front sensors, it doesn’t isolate the rear sensors when hitched. 😊👍👍 Thanks for watching and commenting.

    • @garryclark4653
      @garryclark4653 5 лет назад

      I wonder if your local Ssangyong dealer could fix the rear sensors to switch off with the same switch? Seems a very curious omission, seeing as Ssangyong boast of the Reston’s towing ability! Great channel, by the way!

    • @HereWeTow
      @HereWeTow  5 лет назад

      Thanks Garry. To be fair we are used to it now and motor-mover most of the time due to the width and length of the van on tight site access roads so only notice it hitching up. Thanks for watching. 😊👍

      Hi Richard, I preferred the Nissan for the drive and towing. I didn’t enjoy towing with the Ford. Jules preferred the Ford with the bigger engine. The Ranger is quite bouncy on the suspension if you are not carrying a load. I would say you would need to test drive both to see which suited you best. 😊🚙 Karina

      Plenty of space in the double cab to be fair. These seats are more than adequate for adults to sit back there, they even have a three pin plug in the back to power household items so has a converter.
