Dear pandurang rotithor , Active resectoscope is better in ergonomics. Passive resectoscope is better in safety aspect. However, it is a personal choice.
Dear Beeresh CS , Ideal resectoscope shall be the bipolar resectoscope. if one is using mono-polar resectoscope then the passive type of resectoscope is better.
