That led is definitely bright. Heard about Cyclops on a VStrom forum. Just bought a new SV650 and the stock H4 sucks. Will be ordering one this week. They make full led replacement lights that were $500-$700. They're nuts. Cagers will pull out on you even in daylight, so you might as well let them really know you're coming.
It doesn't seem like the 7000 is much brighter than the 3800. But that could be because it's just on RUclips. I'm in Canada so they 7000 will cost me around $130, the 3800 will be about $100. Still trying to decide
I keep the headlight fairing of mine. There was one time my lowbeam went out on the highway and it was at 11pm. Thankfully i kept extra bulbs in my toolbag
It's always smart to keep a spare with you! I had problems with my headlight when I first got my XT and had to learn the importance of spares pretty early on. Thanks for dropping by! ~NoOne
You don't have to cut the boot. Boil a pot of water and then take the water to the bike and soak the boot for 5 minutes. Then it will slip right over those plastic keys.
Hey man love this channel! Great help for xt250 owners. Would u have any idea how to raise the front fender? I swear you mentioned it in a vid buy can't remember which one
queation.... in reguards to the relief cuts in the rubber boot..... do you think the cuts are small enough to keep dust amd moisture ou of bulb area? I am considerimg cleaning boot , drying it well and the then upon reimstall smearing silicone over cuts. should I do this or do you think its not necessary?
I think the cuts were pretty small, especially with how thick the rubber is and how small I made the cuts. Of course, running more preventatives is better than nothing, so if you have the time and willingness to do it, more power to ya! Thanks for dropping by Clarence, ~NoOne
The spacer changes the bulbs position in the headlight housing. By shifting the the bulb further back, it hits the reflecting elements in a different way. The end result is a lowbeam throw that is less likely to blind oncoming traffic, but illuminates tighter on the pavement.
+Jim Fray awesome brotha!!! I hope you're as happy with yours as I am mine! I've been thinking about picking up a few of their auxiliary lights too! -NoOne
Thanks for the reply. 57 is doable, I'm a fan of the more natural 4300-5000 range. 4300 k has better lumen output as well most of the time! Just for future reference. Love the bike, man. I've been missing my 2006 XT225 I sold last year and am looking to pick up a couple 250s for my brother and i to teach him to ride for his first bike (and go on a few trips once the snow melts). Mods are all tasteful and functional. Love the bike and chanel. Keep it up.

Not a problem and I'm glad you liked it! Thanks for tuning in brotha!

+Todd Marten the video really doesn't do it justice. Honestly you can't go wrong with either of them
NoOnesWatching that's bro. Ride safe dude!!!
JUST bought the 7000 lumen. 👌👍
hi, liking your video, and i too may need one here in kenya. but i ned to know if many lights are fitted, it will cook my stator
Nice! just bought a 2020 xt250 brand new! This is one of my first planned upgrades. has anything changed? is install still the same?

Yo, NoOne! Totally off topic, but was that a Cold Steel Code 4 blade you used to cut the relief notch in your dust boot? (Nice light btw)
+Chris Butler hahaha ha yes it is! Fantastic knife, it's my edc blade and I'll be saddened when I have to replace it.
Good eye brotha!!!

I'm thinking about doing this. But is it too bright for oncoming traffic? Do you get people high beaming you to turn yours off?
$ 80 for a bulb ? That sounds awfully high. Yes, good upgrade..
I have a 1992 xt225 do you know if this same bulb would fit mine?

You mentioned a spacer to adjust low beam cutoff. Can you explain what that is?
I don't think he knew what he was talking about

@@NoOnesWatching0_0 huh, on my 08 250 mine just has the bulb in that bracket, there was no spacer
Is this headlight any brighter or clearer than stock?
I have a '08 XT250. Is the headlight normally AC or DC powered? So do I need to get the Cyclops Rectifier with this lamp?
+Daniel Seligman You know what, I'm not too sure on that one. I'd consult your factory service manual or contact Cyclops.
Thx Bro...Just ordered based on your excitement!

I'm planning on adding an "all lights off" switch this weekend as well. Following this guy's lead.. ruclips.net/video/r3MAMs-pQPs/видео.html
Got it today and had it installed 15 min later... C'mon Dusk!
Awesome Man!!! How did it end up working out for you?
I really like it! Much Brighter and more noticeable overall. Added a kill switch too.

Do I have to purchase the rectifier
Looks way too blue. What's the kelvin rating on that thing?
+Chaz Spellman the white balance in the video is a bit off but their website says it's 5700k. It's a good light!

Awesome video thanks!
I put one of those on my DRZ but if I were to do it again I would spend a little more and get the complete JNS headlight.
thanks this helped me alot.
+Scott Nguyen I'm glad it did! Have a good one and thanks for tuning in!
