It seemed to be straight girls were the only kind of girls I'd allow myself to like, I don't know why, but it did bring A LOT of embarrassing and heart breaking moments. Like I literally had to walk out of conversations because I could feel my cheeks flushing red if this girl just slightly glanced at me, although it was completely a "straight girl glance" ugh!

I always fall for straight women. I also happened to fall in love with one She was 22 years older.
I actually haven't seen her in over a year. We live in different countries. We'd only spent a couple of days together, as I was too shy to get acquainted with her. Before she talked to me, I'd been just smiling at her for 1.5 weeks. I felt something from the first sight.

Nice idea! I personally think that falling in love is something that naturally happens to you. You always fall in love when you least expect it and it is often with an impossible person. Last time I fell in love it was in a monastery in a forest North of Mandalay in Myanmar. I fell in love with a female monk (they practice ascetism). I stayed two weeks then I had to leave because my feelings were becoming uncontrollable. After that I confessed my love to her via email. I felt her energy so strongly I was 1000% sure she felt the same. However, she lied to me! We stayed in touch for a long time but she was always careful about her words. Before I left, she gave me a piece of paper with all her contact numbers in them - only her shoe size was missing... Anyway, my heart was so broken I promise myself never to contact her again (this was the following year). After 2 years I don't know why but I started missing her like crazy again. I found her on Facebook (as a good Italian woman I destroyed and deleted every connection to her in a fit of rage, drama queen style). On FB she ignored me totally and then, to make sure she was not replying to me deliberately, she posted a few articles. That was the last time I fell in love and I'm pretty much done with people who can't be honest with their emotions. I mean it's terrible to be rejected but it feels devastating when the other person has the same feelings but she's not brave enough to admit it to herself first and the rest of the world second. She's Thai!
I'm really sorry about the experience.
I'm always into the wrong people. 🤷🏼♀️ However, I try to convince myself that's just the part of experiencing life, and try to make the best of it.
