Eh . . . Shurap's an excellent smith and all. Sure he could probably make an A grade knife with bobby pins and tin foil. Sure he's all awesome with his BA logo and cool quietness. But what's with the teas? And I never get a laugh watching his videos. But in all honesty, if it wasn't for your explanations and voice over, I'd have no reference for what he's doing in his. Along with some other folks like Alec Steel, you're one of the reasons I'm able to attempt new things and finally make my first reasonable knife recently. Thank you.

The main reason I love this guy is the way he does and presents things, it almost makes it seem like I could do it too. Not too incredibly fancy of devices, pretty simple tactics. Everything's pretty approachable.

That wrist brace made me appreciate that press even more. Allowed you to make something beautiful without sacrificing your health. Once I got my Coal Iron I basically stopped doing any drawing by hand. Can I do it by hand? Sure. It is just easier on the body to not do that. Love the vids man. You got me really serious about this craft and are a consistently good source of visual based information for those of us who need to see what someone is talking about instead of just reading it. Keep doing what you do.

Now, I enjoy watching the "boring stuff" because I enjoy the love of the craft that's evident in the process. I especially enjoy watching the "bumps in the road" that you encounter along the way. I like watching the thought process involved in over-coming those obstacles. Thanks for sharing like you do and keep up the good work!

I cant really say which one I like more, but on a technical side of things adding the metal powder means a lot less chance of inclusions, but leaning towards the bare screws and core metal... of which its both hilarious and impressive the amount of effort to set up your canisters
