I'll tell you one thing for sure this is miles better than my one but if it's humanly possible mine will rise again, stuck exhaust valve and all but maybe not until next year as I'm busy with a XS650s this year. Good to have found you Bob.
You'll get there..you just have to keep on keepin' on. They're great bikes so keep the faith and you'll be scooting along on it soon.:0) Thanks for watching
@@rodcurrieclassics8102 Oh yes you can count on it, I've had heads off before and working in the trade, even in parts and even as it is now mostly mail order and not a dealership there is a workshop plus a well qualified friend from my Honda days who'll help if I get stuck. I'm well set up.
Thanks for the video Rod, always look forward to seeing your videos, those carbs did look brand new, like put on and never used at all. Some of the part look a little rough, do you ever restore those old crusty parts or just look for a better replacement?
Depends Jack.I always save as much as I can.The casings ands hubs etc will polish up. I'll paint the pan and re-cover the seat...The rear fender I'll replace but may send the one I took off for chroming as I'll use it soon enough. What bits are you referring to? The exhaust is too far gone to save, but I bought a bike with 2 full sets of exhausts, and they'll be here in about 2 weeks ...I hope. Its amazing what comes back from crusty to nice on these old Hondas...the quality is like nothing else. If it was a 60-70s Yam or Suzy ..before say '75 you'd be stuffed. They started to catch up after that. .
When I got the other one in bits it wasn't nearly as nice ...and it had the "other" type of slow running adjuster screw ..so I think the one I showed IS brand new (though the needle valve was goosed) and the other is an original. Weird eh? Thanks for watching.
Hi Rob. there's still tons of them but they're getting harder to buy. Prices have shot up across the last 18 months and there's no other source of these 350s. Next years bikes will be much more expensive as a consequence...so if you want one ....better get looking :0). Thanks for watching, Rod
Yeah maybe...whatever the reason it got so far and just stopped dead. Hope to get a run out of it tomorrow so you'll see at the weekend ......watch this space.
Another enjoyable video Rod. How to do it properly and see every stage of it as if we’re there with you!
Sometimes I'm learning too and don't get it right ...but I don't show you ALL my mistakes Keith....and there's a few. :0)

Amazes me how many really low mileage bikes are stashed away in the States. Maybe they have too much storage space?

Usually when ya see weird stuff like that it’s a kid that messed about with it.
