If users need to create something within your application (e.g. an account, a post, a comment), this should be a data type. From here, take the time to identify what information you'd like associated with each thing a user creates (e.g. for an account it might be their name, a profile photo, etc), then these will become your data fields. I have a dedicated tutorial that walks through my process of building custom database here: ruclips.net/video/Z_ueGppnjBY/видео.html Hope this helps!
I've previously published a course on how to build a freelancer marketplace like Fiverr. You can check this out here: ruclips.net/video/_7j3Pzaj9ps/видео.html
Thanks Kitt. Yes, this is possible. Bubble recently published an article here explaining the process: bubble.io/blog/bubble-mobile-apps/ Hope this helps!
Great question. The process of building LinkedIn as an app would be much the same, only you'll just need to change the dimensions of your page to fit a mobile device. Hope this helps!
@@BuildingWithBubble so do I need to create both pc and app dimension pages? or do I need start from mobile dimension and then the page resizes by opening it from a pc?
@@Zioemabeach There's a few different ways you can approach this within Bubble. One option is to create a duplicate of each page, then make one version for mobile and the other for desktop. When you open the menu of the page itself, you'll see a checkbox to 'make this page for mobile'. This will then prioritise this version of the page for your mobile app. I have plans to create a tutorial that dives into the full process soon, but I just need to find the time to record this. In the meantime, I'd always recommend checking out the Bubble forum to see what the community has already shared about the process: forum.bubble.io
@@BuildingWithBubble That's weird because I'm following what you are doing in this tutorial, and whenever you select the "processed by imgix" option, I don't see it on my screen. Do you have to download it?
@@johndong4754 Can you just double-check that you're uploading a dynamic image, not using the static image field. You'll also only see the option to 'process with imgix' after you finish selecting the dynamic data source of the image, then click the 'more' option. Let me know if this helps

Very strange! Feel free to shoot me an email (lachlan@buildingwithbubble.com) with a link to your Bubble editor and I'd be happy to see what's causing this 👍
Yes, if you update the container layout of your page and the group to be a column or row, this will resolve the issue. If you have the container layout set as 'fixed', it causes the issue. Hope this helps!
@@BuildingWithBubble hey, do you have an email where I can submit a WebApp proposal for you to review? When it comes to creating a like, just add the 'current user' to the 'current cells post's' list of 'liked users'. Once the user has been added to the list, you can perform a count on how many likes have been added. As for comments, you'll need to 'create a thing' within your database, then choose to create a comment. Hope this helps!

How did you know all of the data fields and types to build when you first started?

For example, I wanted to create a "first line generator" Saas for cold emails. Can I do that using this software?
Yes, that'd be possible using an integration with Bubble and service like GPT-3 👌
@@BuildingWithBubble Is it paid to use GPT-3? And do I have to pay for each customer to create a First Lines or to use GPT-3?
