And to add for the last AITA, the Chinese bride is doing a full western wedding with the white dress and in the church and so for the husband to not do this small segment of the wedding to pay respect to her culture feels very selfish. The post says he’s not religious so bowing should not be an issue for him if his ego was in check
And if he truly loves her, he will also love whatever she comes with, culture inclusively. Relationships is all about sacrifices and finding balance, it is not a one sided effort
I am a born and bred city girl and married my husband who was born and live in the village. I moved and left the city life for the slow pace village life, and i am blessed with a wonderful mother in law. I think i hit the jackpot because having a great relationship with mother in laws are so scarce these days. She never get involve herself with our marriage, she respect our parenting choices and also never had bad things to say about anyone. Anyone who comes and visit my husbands maternal family home, always shows their effection towards her like she is like her own mother. This to me, is the best blessing in the world above my husband and my kids. Every time my sister’s mother in law comes to visit her, she will rant so hard on how toxic her mil is and she is always invading her space like the kitchen. And everytime she pour her heart out to me, i cant help to feel more grateful for my MIL.
And she is absolutely hilarious, i love having conversation with her. She is 80 years old, and grew up in a very humble upbringing. She have 11 children, a housewife, and raised her kids alone after my father in law passed away when my husband was 16 years old. I respect her and adore her so much.
OMG YES!!!! My mother in law was so toxic that it was best for my husband and I to move to another state, just to get away from his family. They were in our business to much and it was to point were we were going to get divorced if we didnt leave California.
Oh yeah...I'm gonna try the tik tok craving at home for my Son...he is gonna love it... that's why i will need to recreate it at home...because i already know he is gonna want them all the time...thanks for sharing...😝...
Im a muslim and in our religion we bow all the way to the ground when we pray "it kind of looks like the 절" so we cant bow that much to someone but God I can bow lightly to show respect though ♡ but I do understand the culture difference and I really respect it and love the meaning and the humility behind it ♡
I’m a boy’z mom lol…… How you raise your kids will be a reflection of you. I go above and beyond for all my boy’s girlfriend and I want them to keep that same respect for their parters parents.
i'm turkish-german (turkish parents, born and raised in germany) and what you said about hispanic people sounds a lot like turkish people. there are times when i like it bug also when i absolutely hate it bc some people (for example, my parents) don't get that i like my privace, that i need it. maybe i hate it more often than i love it.
The worst is when they try to make their sons a mamas boy and always try to insult you and tell you things then when confronted they act as if nothing happened I have a son and if he does something wrong he will make sure he knows. I will teach him to respect women and to be independent a woman is your partner your companion not your second mother
Well when you couldn’t conceive and it takes years to be blessed with one beautiful child you have a tendency to hold them close. I was like that with my son my one and only. I got pregnant one other time and lost that child. So I see how that is possible for a mother not want to let go. I still love my son so much but I also have the daughter I always wanted and four beautiful grands that I cherish with all my heart.
The Mexican pizza is phenomenal reason I like it so much is the shell the use is a different type of shell I just don't know what it's called but it tastes better than their country wraps shell that's inside the crunchwrap Supremes
Chimichonga Queens...i love me some taco bell...even though I cook mexican food all the time...i crave taco bell...quess what the mexican pizza is my all time favorite...it does have to be eaten fresh so it won't get soggy...i actually open the box so it won't keep steaming...i would love to make a suggestion...add green onions to the pizza and the nachos bell grandes...which is my second favorite...adding green onions is a must...they actually use to serve them with green onions a one time...try it and thank me later...in-laws topic was awesome...i appreciate your wisdom queens...👑 ...
Loving this video! Also, as a white American, if I accept you as my person, I accept your family and culture. I think dude is rude.....UNLESS, he really doesn't like her parents??? Maybe there's more to it? BUT, sometimes you just give in on these things because it keeps peace and makes your spouse happy. HUGS!!!
I find that interesting b/c everything I go to Korea, I stay with my family 😂 but I visit very seldomly so maybe that's why :) and I don't ask, it's just offered 🙂 However, I totally relate being raised to not be rude to adults and fake smiling after inviting them 😂
Mm Im mexican and all of our aunts are always inviting us to stay at they place... but i rather stay in hotels or our own place... cause like you said privacy lol but they aren't to fond of it especially my parents.
Us being Muslims we are not allowed to bow Infront of anyone, elder or younger doesn't matter but we are simply not allowed to bow even the slightest, only Infront of God "Allah"
Definitely not a culture thing, it’s a manners thing… Scottish here 🇬🇧 🏴 and I would never either! My mother and father brung me up far better, and with manners. In law- I don’t Particularly get on or see eye to eye with mine all the time because I have to correct her sons attitude day to day😆 kidding, but regardless no. Manners cost nothing. X
Personally i wouldn't bow to their parents let alone get on my knees😅(i'm religious), however i think his reaction was rude and shouldn't of called her a *hole, he should've been more sensitive towards her feelings and worded it more nicely (shows he doesn't appreciate his fiancé)
Well im seeing a guy. He’s amazing. We do have plans to marry but his mom doesn’t like me at all. Part of it could be cus shes possessive about him w him being the only son and also them after losing the father of the son as well, like her husband but idk why. I couldnt sit there, i just left. My guy is supportive and hes amazing and takes stand too, but idk his mum i believe is gonna be a big problem for marriage and everything else later. Bummed about this.
Tbh it just depends on how u view bowing for you it’s a shocker because u are used to tht and it’s part of ur culture we don’t bow to nobody except god no matter who we have other ways of showing respect to others even after a performance we would never bow to our audience there’s always other ways to show ur appreciation aswell but I completely understand where she is coming from he should have not reacted like tht tho and he should’ve told her in a respectful way
She’s not telling the whole story. I love my mil but there’s always a period of time to settle. The way she says “shotgun wedding and one kid later”, she’s so detached. Have your thanksgiving and mind your business. It’ll work itself in the end.
Actually i been married to pakistani so there was like intervering to our marriage ,so it was sometimes tough but the big problem was that ex husband took family side so every year it was just worse and worse and his mother before when she died by cancer called her family to tell that im jealous woman 😅😅😅but that was not true so it was problem i started to learn their language and they wanted not to explain any family things just i was there to look after her 😂😂so i said to him who look after me 😂thanks God im out of this marriage 😂no anymore with this people.
As a Muslim, we are to bow before NO ONE but God. To bow is completey against our faith and strongly forbidden.
Yesss
There is a difference between bowing and doing sajda
@@ambarkhan2818are you talking about sujood and yes bc we can’t bow to no one but (God Allah SWT) is the only one we can bow to no one else

Agree! Honestly I wouldn't marry someone who cannot respect my culture because I am part of my culture, especially when it involves parents.
And if he truly loves her, he will also love whatever she comes with, culture inclusively. Relationships is all about sacrifices and finding balance, it is not a one sided effort

Aloha from Hawaii Eunice & Shay! Awesome video! Been missing you both. Mahalo for sharing 😊
My grandma is extreme! My dads mom is my only grandparent , i have left, but she is so toxic, especially to my mom.
Oh yeah...I'm gonna try the tik tok craving at home for my Son...he is gonna love it... that's why i will need to recreate it at home...because i already know he is gonna want them all the time...thanks for sharing...😝...
It’s all about respect and boundaries
Wedding: One moment and creating a memorable event celebrating love
Crema is watered down sour cream. You slowly mix sour cream with milk to thin it out a little bit
