The best decision I made with my family was leave New Zealand and move to Abu Dhabi. If I could I would move to Makkah or Medina , but currently AD is most suitable . The safety , no LGBT, masjids everywhere , even on a social level my family can do more. No where will be perfect, dependent on circumstances

I was living in KSA for a year and brought my family. Not having an Iqama especially for the kids can be an issue. I was waiting for my son to get his Iqama but prior to that, he was sick. I took him to a hospital to get checked out and they refused to see him because he didn’t have an Iqama. I don’t know if that’s for all hospitals but just want people to be aware that there is that risk.

    Wa alaykum assalam,
I just wanted to touch on the point Brother Tucker made at 22:18. I spoke to an Egyptian brother who moved recently from Saudi Arabia to Oman. He mentioned that it's true-employees do receive a text if they are not paid. However, in reality, that’s often all that happens. In his case and in several others, many people went unpaid for months and faced discrimination, despite being Arabs themselves.Yes, they're working on improving the system, but it still allows exploitation.

I would like to correct the brother regarding the hadith he's referring to. The way he described the hadith, it is false.
You will find this hadith in multiple sahih as Bukhari Muslim and others.
    Regarding this hadith, look for Sahih al-Bukhari 3171 / Book 58, Hadith 13 :
Um Hani (اہنع یلاعت الله ئضر), the daughter of Abu Talib (ہنع یلاعت الله ئضر) narrated that she went to Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه واله وسلم) on the day of the conquest of Makka and found him taking a bath, and his daughter Sayyida Fatima (اہنع یلاعت الله ئضر) was screening him. I greeted him and he asked, ‘who is that?’ I said, ‘I, Um Hani bint Abi Talib (اہنع یلاعت الله ئضر). He said, ‘welcome, O Um Hani (اہنع یلاعت الله ئضر). When he had finished his bath, he stood up and offered eight rak`a while dressed in one garment. I said, ‘O Allah's Apostle (ملسو هلآ و هيلع الله ىلص), my brother Ali (ہنع یلاعت الله ئضر) has declared that he will kill a man to whom I have granted asylum. The man is so and-so bin Hubaira.’ Allah's Apostle (ملسو هلآ و هيلع الله ىلص) said, ‘O Um Hani (اہنع یلاعت الله ئضر) we will grant asylum to the one whom you have granted asylum.
Um Hani (اہنع یلاعت الله ئضر) said, that (visit) took place in the forenoon.
I hope you will accept this correction. It is important to stick to the right Hadith and not to say something different. And Allah Knows The best.
Jezekum Allah for the effort and the work you do for people seeking a path of Salama.
