Why does every 2nd or 3rd bar have something to do with guns? I mean don't get me wrong, the lines are clever but the topic in general is overrated. When did the definition of battle rap become verbalizing clever ways of killing someone?
I've got Rum taking this, although I'd listen to an argument for either side. To me though, Rum just seemed to have stronger lines and more overall crowd reaction. For example, that "me and your grill will / gorilla be on a barrel like Donkey Kong" line was way too deadly! Rum didn't catch a body though. Tax had a solid performance, giving this battle some replay value. His "since you named yourself after liquor, we're really going to find out if you're 40 proof" line was killer. I don't want to jump the gun, but Rum is definitely on the fast track to top tier status. I hope this won't jinx his next battle. As a side note, we're two battles into this event and it seems like the audio quality is far better than World Domination 4. The reverb from that event made the videos difficult to watch. By the way, Rum Nitty Vs Bigg K would be filthy! That should go down at the next fresh coast event.
