Nice thing about potato farms is that it's the best soil ever and no rocks! I had the pleasure of building a huge garden and it was so easy and I'd guess safe for pond liners, cool! Lovely ponds too

I watch this video frequently, because it is one of my favs! I just finished digging out my waterfall out of the berm. I'm taking a break and im expecting to do the liners and rerock the pond today, and put her all together! wooohooo
Wow!!!! What a property. Beautiful gardens, ponds, and kois and not to mention the creatures it will attract from birds, butterflies, dragonflies, bees, etc. This looks like heaven on earth❤❤❤

Robert Forrest - Greg's own backyard is magnificent - he started to create ponds and ended with a river - I have yet to see a property more stunning
@@kathymurphy1588 I've seen it, but it needs more landscape plants...IMO. To bare for me. Plus I grew up on the mouth of the Klamath River in Requa...I know what a riverdscape looks like. 😂👍
I have a mudhole pond in my neighborhood with no water flow at all and it’s full of huge carp

@@lb1839 Yes, especially during Christmas time, we Polish guys tend to hoard carp put them in our bathtubs to swim until its dinnertime.

I was wondering Wendy all the strings were about... My 1st guess was art then I thought to keep people from stealing the fish then I thought it was to kepp people out then I finally read the comments and it's to keep the fish eating critters out which makes allot of sense. But it still looks lime art to me. So beautiful so you think Eden was like this? I couldn't even imagine anything more beautiful.

I have a desperate question my koi fishes are moving real slow and looks like they on top of the water looking for air my waterfall is stong wish i think thats enough oxygen for they can anyone tell me if i need to install air stones for them thanks

Thanks i had 2 of them die on me i took them out put them in a cooler for now and put some small air stone they doing ok ima go buy a big air filtration for my pond i thought the waterfall was enough but the heat in the water is taking away the oxygen away can you tell me if im correct thanks for your help i love your job

You really tried hard to not mention the many lines pulled over the ponds to keep out the Herons,Egrets,Cormorants,and Ospreys. Either them or its donating to the natural wildlife....Racoons too those devil's spawn.
To tell you the truth,water quality wasn't especially good or high..I could see lipids on the surface..but hey,its Koi. What makes them loveable is - they don't care. As long as the water is wet,they are happy.
Beautiful gardens.No doubt about that.
You also never tell us..is that all liners or concrete?
I like the guy who built it..honest as heck to admit..some things didn't work out..pond was too shallow ( for cold winters I bet) and some things needed much more filtration ..so he added those wetland filters.
It looks so much like the Japanese gardens I've seen in San Mateo (our best in the bay area) and the really large Koi pond...100' easy in every direction,in San Jose.
I wish I had one. And a machine gun for Racoons,Herons..lol..all of them! OR, a pack of Border Collies to chase the varments.

Predator control. Some people place fishing line strings across the pond so heron won't get in.
