@Alex Lin imo I feel VAS makes a superior product in general. At the end of the day it’s all about the end user. I prefer the ion v2 and I just tried the minion which is great as well.
Will you get better signal, idk it is hard to say. I have lots of videos using Mr. Steele antenna combo (almost all videos) I believe the day I installed his antenna combo I solved my issues with my video feed.
Worth the money imo.

love your philosophy for engineering. simplicity after durability and function. This is what can happen when systems engineers and software engineers team up. Big picture put into practice. Then more practice makes perfect. I will be buying one of these as soon as i make sure it can be used for DJI analog mod.

Im just glad one of the best pilots hasn't switched to HD because then I can say analog is better and have a reason not to spend the money for HD

@@Kevin.OBrien44 the latency difference is so little in Dji systems that you would barley notice if any. The only reason Steele recommends the things he does is because he has brand deals with those companies.
I sold my dji V2 and Dji goggle 2,and now looking for a analog’s system..

That was so informative, hearing your personal experience and what works for you, and i think i want a fusion now after hearing you explain the RF Floor ect.. on those.
Good idea with the microfiber towel. I use the rectangle piece of foam that comes in the box of a new lipo. It fits perfectly over the goggle lens and stays in place.
That Fusion analyzer is very cool. I only fly DJI, so if Ethix/TBS made a stand alone device to test RF in flying spots that might be pretty cool.

VAS Antennas are amazing! I will get myself a TBS Fusion soon too. I'm still amazed by the quality of my internal aomway commander module tho! But it's time for something new so the TBS Fusion will probably be a great Module :)
Hello Larsco FPV do you have now the TBS Fusion? Im also fly with the Intern Skyzone O30 Module but soon i get the Fusion. Im Really wondering about the difference. I hope for a big Improvement. Yes and the Antennas from VAS are probably the best. Good flights!
@@stefankellenberger8315 I received it and it's working really good so far! :) I get almost no breakup during a Race. I've never tried it for Longrange but I'll try it soon. TBS also added a new Longrange mode in the last firmware update.

We’ve seen you try out the DJI goggles, have you tried shark byte as well? Would be curious to learn your thoughts about that.

Currently using 03Os, but if I’m switching, definitely getting a fusion module!
The problem with these "what I'm using right now" videos is the lack of comparison to other devices - _why_ are you using these right now, instead of x, y, or z?

Yo, so I have the mad mushroom long aswell, mines kinda navy blue tho. Is there different versions? Or did you paint yours. Is it fine for me to paint mine or will it throw off the signal

You don't need the discharge rate or a lipo, you can power it with 2 or 3 18650 and you'll be saving you the all the problems lipos give.

am I understanding correctly that with those 2 antennas (and the way the way you position them) your goggles won't be able to receive video signal when your drone is right above you?
I mean. If you’re like 500m directly above yourself sure.. but that’s not a common thing that happens. If it is I turn my Omni sideways

Audio is great, until your video starts to break up and your audio breaks up too. Sounds like ESD in my ear.

I picked some attitude v6's for like $240 used, and I enjoy flying tiny whoops. There are still uses for analog but the new prices are going to have to start dropping to keep people buying. I never would have spent $389 for these.
I really wish DJI would add audio as an option for the air unit, it's still more expensive than I'm willing to spend but it's a bummer that there's no way to use audio with it.
Here's hoping that they do with future products in their digital fpv lineup... The new drone sends audio to the v2 goggles, I've tried it.

That is exactly what I do with my HDO2's as well, I just use the lens cloth that comes with Fatsharks though, always worried about getting scratched lenses.
Steel I switch back to analog,you recommend to keeping use v2 digital goggles with tbs fusion? Or fat shark HDO 2 with rapid/tbs fusion.👀
Really cool vid and wow - that fusion module is dope! I was always wondering why your analog signal is so consitantly good even if you hide your drone behind tons of concrete... Did you ever test the orqa fpv.one? What made you stick with the HDO2?
I'd also be more interested in that Quad-Audio. Once my quad is up and away - not hearing the motors and props at all is quite a bit confusing for me - this feedback is quite helpful to gauge how much throttle you're actually punching into them and if something spins incorrectly you just simply hear it directly. I can totally see why you want to have this in your quad.
I stuck with hdo2 because they are smaller and have diopter adjustments built in

gear bag review, i'm going from DJI mavic to fpv and have been learning about the process for about 12 months have picked up a cheap tiny whoop from betafpv and looking to go to 5"
From the start of the video, I pressed the letter L on my keyboard 4 times to skip 10 sec, the 4 time I hit that key, the only word I heard was "analog" :)

covered my analog goggles with TBS stickers just to keep it oldschool, but i might be installing the air unit soon to use my DJI v2 goggles. i'm never going to give up on real life but a flying deep fake is an easy blue pill to swallow. i needed some quality dioptics so i figured why not if it can do both with a module. your fatsharks still look very comfy tho. to put things in perspective i just spent 1000 on input/output over the winter and my best quad is a souped up eachine wizard. I got the tracer setup and DJI video finally , with your blessing.

👍👍Agreed. I like having audio at critical point during my flights to know how much prop rpm is being generated for an indication of needing more or less power at a given time. Sure I can fly without it but it's like driving a real car remotely and not being able to hear the engine to know when to down or up shift for turns or powering up a hill until the sound hits me half a second later.
My Stingy V2 didn't have one and it REALLY bugged me.
P.S. Now that I've watched the res of the vid... Totally diggin the TBS module...New season, new upgrades. Thanks man. 😁👍
Loving that spectrum analyser, possibly one of the handiest things I’ve seen in a while, just wondering, as I know you’re all about keeping it simple, why does it highlight the channels with most interference? Would it not be simpler to show the best channels for the environment?
Sometimes there are too many “best” options. Aka a clean environment so worst is more feasible

It’s not cheaper I just got orqa and rapidfire with connect module and battery more expensive than dji goggles
@@Drift-fpv depends what he means by cheaper. I have gone analogue aswell as the cameras/vtx/antennas are all currently dirt cheap compared with digital.
And good goggles like orqa and fatshark have hdmi in which allow for newer digital systems to be used as add ons. No reason to be locked into 1 ecosystem :)
@@craigjohnstone87 yes mate that’s why I went orqa dji is a shut door orqa said they will keep it open source only got mine Wednesday so I ain’t flown them yet but they look real nice and with things like the connect module they seam like they trying to innovate which is a good thing I am still on the fence and wonder did do the right thing but it’s done now lol

@@FreshPanda97 and currently be locked into a closed ecosystem where after the latest launch dji made very clear actual fpv pilots are not their concern. Its all about that drone now. Goodbye any airunit innovation.
Sharkbyte isn't there yet, but they have stated they plan on listening to the consumer in bi weekly updates and committed to it. So improvement should be seen.
Orqa are also entering the frame and likely to have a modular system.

Well I guess im upgrading my module today! THANK YOU! i;ve hated the menu! and was half tempted to go back to my rapid fire! this changes that! what would be awesome to have built in is the ability to scan down to the 800 Mhz, so you can also see your control link noise floor!

Wow. I am an EE that always uses RF 90 Deg SMA adaptors at work. I recently bought a cheap batch of them on Ebay and they have been popping off when the techs tighten them, and they use a SMA Torque wrench. I have been tossing them out. Never had the issue with the more expensive brands. But hey, thanks for you trick on soldering them at the joint. Duh, never that of doing that, I will do that with the ones I have left.

I almost bought the older crossfire unit for my first quad and radio and since there isn't alot of ppl I watch I always seem to be just days late with purchasing the last model stuff haha.. so I ordered the new tbs unit and im basically building your setup because it seems to work well and I don't like changing around when it comes to stuff like this haha I guess call it old fashioned but when I find stuff that works I hate when they quit making it and then the newer model sucks haha :) thanks :)

3D printing is for prototyping. Not final products if it can be helped
I suppose if I had the ability and connections to make an idea a finished product I wouldn't use 3D prints either.
