I'm pretty sure they did make some kind of hissing sound like snakes, but louder and lower. The sounds you hear in this video are simply edited recordings of current animals. You can't justify that as scientifically accurate, since dinosaurs like t-rex don't share common ancestors with crocodiles and other reptiles used to create these sounds.

The reason for the T rex being so calm and soft is because you couldn’t hear them due to cushions they had on their feet. Not only that but it also means that (considering that they are way faster than you) you could be stalked or literally chased by one and you wouldn’t hear anything!
You could even feel it in your bones, even worse. If it was stalking you, you would not know because it had soft pillow like pads on its feet that muffled its footsteps making the trex unnoticeable by sound. It was extremely quiet and was an ambushing predator
