I've seen others do this but for some reason, not sure why. Your video was more helpful and interesting. I think because you had a real life situation. A shoebox size garage, plywood on the tablesaw and small table. As opposed to a massive work shed with every tool you could ever want. Thank you for sharing.
I have made this workbench and it's an awesome addition to my growing workshop. Thank you so much for this genius idea! I modified some of the joints. Used hex bolts with partial threads in pivot points and nylon lock nuts to keep secure. Perfect 👌🏻
Just finished my version of it. The project fought me every step of the way, one thing after another went wrong. But once I finished, lo and behold, it worked! Thanks Michael for the inspiration.
Great design. I live in an apartment and I don't have access to a garage. So I made a few changes to the design. Instead of using the box end with casters I just made the legs even. When the legs are in place I use two lengths of 2X4s acting as stretchers to hold them in place. When the bench is folded it fits behind the sofa in the living room out of sight. Thanks again for a great video..
I can see that you put a lot of thought into designing this work bench. At first glance, it looks fairly simple, but the way you made the legs pivot together with the bracing will mean a much more stable bench. This is a great solution for working in a limited space.
Thanks for so many ideas. I think I will make the frame about 3 1/2’ square with a 4x4 top that I can set up outriggers to cut 4x8 panels with a track guide. Your bench design is outstanding. One great thing about it for me is my garage floor is sloped and I will easily be able to lift the down hill legs to level the table. Subscribed.
Great table, but I’m just an amateur, I like to be able to build, but without measurements I don’t think I can do it. Nice table and looks very useful. Thanks
Thank you Miguel for an excellent project. I regularly get offers from suppliers of wood working materials here in the UK offering me ordinary benches for around $500. Someone with reasonable skills could follow your video and build one for a fraction of the cost. Best wishes, Alan.
What a great project. I was looking for a work bench just like this. I don't have as many tools as you do, i.e, drill press, or band saw but I think I can use what I have to accomplish this project. Thank you!!!
Muchas gracias. ¡Ánimo compa! - Ronaldo
Thanks for the inspiration, I used your design to build my own version of your folding table. I made mine much deeper to accommodate a built in router and I have castor lift system so I can move it around easily but still have greater stability when it is in the lowered position. oldsloane
I'm new at diy stuff but nevertheless Ive almost completed this great workbench EXCEPT I'm having trouble figuring out the last bit. Namely the cross piece that helps the legs fold down. What kind of bolts do I use to fit from the leg into that and the long strut down the centre.
To be specific, what is the bolt being used at the 17:07 mark, and how is it fastened securely to allow for rotation? I should also say thank you very much for posting this Miguel. It has inspired me to build this for my workshop.
That bolt is almost certainly a 3/8" lag bolt 3" long. The screws securing the connecting member to the cross piece look to be 3" construction screws, like drywall screws.
Hello Miguel. Nice video and very good bench for small places. One question from Norway: is it stable for planing if I choose to mount a wise or two to it? Best regard, Aage.
Thanks Miguel for a excellent design. Is there plans and tutorial available that also include the under shelving? I noticed that the under shelf was not in the video. Thanks heaps again and keep up the great work.
Gracias
How big was the platform where you put the legs on the square 2 x 4 hope it was it was it a 2 x 2 or please advise I’ve been following you for a while you do a lot of good Woodturning Thank you very much
Yes I would like to know how you installed the 2 x 3 it doesn’t show much on your video if you could please let me know I’d appreciate it I love your videos especially if you’re with Turning Videos
Hi Miguel, Do you have a project list showing sizes of wood you used and how many of each that are needed? This is a great idea that we'd like to try. Thank you!
You have to find the size of table you want and go from there. I made mine 24 wide by 72 long inches. It is trial and error. I am 6 ft. 6 in so I wanted a high table but I made it too high so I had to take apart and shorten it. You have to stop and watch the video over and over to get the right lengths.
I am impressed by the number of tools you could fit in your small garage.

A useful bench for the small space. Well done.
Thank you Miguel! I made this folding workbench yesterday. Mine is 30 x 78 inches and 36 inches tall. works perfect!
Just finished my version of it. The project fought me every step of the way, one thing after another went wrong. But once I finished, lo and behold, it worked! Thanks Michael for the inspiration.
Thank you Mr. Sanchez. Your video has been a Great Help to me and for my hope woodshop 🙂

Finally, a really useful woodworking video.
Great table, but I’m just an amateur, I like to be able to build, but without measurements I don’t think I can do it.

Hello, unfortunatelly I have no plans of it, neither the table itself anymore, sorry.
Orale! Nice portable bench table .... I'm Gona build my soon like yours! What the hight and length ? Thanks man!
+Roberto P Hello Roberto, the size is 6 by 2 feet, the hight I did not measure it, is the same of my table saw. Take care
Genius!
Thank you
Saludos
Miguel Sanchez...gracias por la información. Hoy la termino!

greetings i'm new to diy, i want to build this work bench, i need the cut list, how can i get it
Saludos
does anyone have the dimension on this great workbench? Are there plans available for purchase on this?
What part are you looking for? If you want let me know and I will tell you the dimensions I used.
@@ttwymr what is the length of the legs? That is the only thing that I can’t figure out.

great job i replicate him
+HelmetsMotoClub Go ahead, it is very easy
If you want to go with these plans, they look solid, but just take 2 mins and read what Woody Hyezmar has to say about them. (Google him)
