That’s crazy! I have dry skin with pores and a few wrinkles. This is almost an HG. It literally blurs my pores and feels so light on my skin. I use a brush for application and a moisturizing primer. It doesn’t last as long as I would like, but it works for most of my daily needs.

I am on my third bottle of this Foundation already, one because I use it every single day and I also bought it in different colors for when I'm self tan and not selftanned. I build this up to a full coverage, it doesn't look cakey , it looks absolutely stunning on the skin.. I cannot get enough of it, I use it every single day I love love love it , it is definitely a beautiful foundation and definitely can build it up to a medium full coverage it's gorgeous!!!!

Lisa J yes I use the wet and wild matte primer ( the black one) I am 43 I have pores and lines and 43 yr old skin. And that primer and foundation work perfectly together.. I take the wand and instead of dotting it on the skin i kind of smear it ( for a lack if better words) Lol. But I smear it all over blend it out with same elf brush then I will dot more on and blend it out with beauty blender. I don't know it works and I have stuff to hide on my skin. Hope this helps!!! ❤❤❤❤❤

I love this foundation and I think it looks like skin. Felt very light weight on my skin and didn’t cake up. I would suggest wearing a pore minimizing primer and you might love it. However, I do really like your videos.

Your hair looks so pretty! I had to say that first 😊 So, yeah....the shade selection is awful. I bought the same color and it is light on me too. Like others have commented, this one NEEDS a primer. I like it for my lighter coverage days, but it’s not the one I choose for filming or a night out. Try it with a silicone base primer, you may end up liking it or maybe it’s just a no go for you like the new Marc Jacobs was for me. Great review as always! ❤️

You should never need a primer to make a foundation work . You have beautiful skin to begin with so honestly you don’t need anymore coverage than this level of coverage ! New sub and love your channel and content I also liked your clothing hauls finally a petite you tuber in my age demographic that I can relate too .

I bought this foundation yesterday and wore it today for the first time. It worked really well for me. I have been having trouble finding a foundation that's not too heavy or too sheer and this was perfect. I do like the applicator. I usually just put foundation on the back of my hand, but with the applicator, I just dotted it on my face. I don't care for the smell, but it doesn't last very long. I like the way you use your brush to cover the foundation over your face. I will try that tomorrow. I will know more at the end of the week whether or not I like this foundation. By the way, I like your natural look. You can rock it! Your new haircut looks great too!! Blessings to you and your family!!

Well, this foundation did not do well for me today. We had a wet snow that I got caught in and my foundation settled pretty bad in my pores and fine lines. I won't be using this anymore. I'm sure when the weather gets warmer that it won't do well either. I'm still on the search for a foundation that works with my fine lines and pores.

You have gorgeous skin even with that foundation. I am 41 and have large pores and after your review this foundation is out for me. But can you recommend any others you've used that don't accentuate pores or texture? Thank you!! Oh...and dont forget the purple e/s tutorial, I insist your eyes would pop out so much more.😘

I use this over the makeup forever smoothing primer (and fab coconut smoothie primer on dry spots) and I love it!

Yeah, because I had the same issue with it showing pores, so the smoothing primer helps a lot. 😊
I did try this foundation and love it. I have Becca and two faced sitting on my makeup table and always go for this one, which is crazy for me. I did also pick up the primer from physicians formula which gives more staying power .
I just got the becca matte and I think I hate it :( if by chance that's the one you use any tips?
I personally think your makeup looks beautiful. Your skin appears flawless. I would recommend using a different primer, something pore blurring, and using the foundation again! Sometimes we expect too much out of a foundation alone.
I REALLY love this foundation. It’s the first drugstore foundation I have ever liked actually, I normally only like high end foundations. I bought this about a month ago and literally can’t put it down but I have very dry skin so maybe that is why my experience is different.

So glad to see that I'm not the only one who did not like this foundation! It did nothing for me. I have seen all these positive reviews but for some reason physician formula has never worked for me.
This was the first PF foundation I have tried. Yeah... its so interesting... a lot of others love it! Goes to show foundation is not a one size works for all.
Hi Lisa, love your haircut! I have to say I did like this foundation but at first had the same issue with the shade. It was way too light but next one was too dark. I was able to make it look ok with bronzer though.

I kind of felt the same way- it made me notice so many imperfections in my skin that I'd never noticed before. I think it looks great from far away, but up close I saw texture and weird wrinkles in places I don't have without makeup on or with other foundations.
Wear tests are my favorite! So hard for me to find a foundation with good staying power for pale skin.

Tammy Warren I never use powder either as I am dry too ... Cosmetics counters always insist to use their powder but it always shows my texture... which I won’t show with just foundation

*I find it so interesting how bothered everyone is by the doe foot applicator as an application method for this foundation but it's a totally acceptable way to package concealer and nobody bats an eye about it... Just use the GD applicator to apply it to the back of your hand and apply as needed. It actually is a great way of cutting down on over use of product. People tend to use way more foundation than they actually need when a product has a pump.*
Lisa, I tried this also got it in 2 colors and I wanted to really like it and I didn’t. Never reached for it again. Not enough coverage for me but it also showed my pores. Hate it when that happens. Love your videos, always looking for more.❤️❤️

Lisa...love your videos. I bought it a couple weeks ago at Wal-Mart. I have aging/dry skin at 51 and my pores aren't that large. I have nice skin. Samantha Schuerman on RUclips who has oily/acne prone skin and loved it and her friend Shades of Kassie here on RUclips who has more normal/combo skin loved it. My skin is great, just dry. I have very small pores. I tried it with my Elf brush and it looked streaky. I used my beauty blender to blend the streaks. I used the NYX Hydro Touch primer underneath. I used my MAC pressed Next to Nothing powder to set it. I wore it over 9 hours and the girls at my husband's work were telling me my skin looked AMAZING!! You could see my skin through it, but it didn't feel heavy on my skin. There is a NEW ALMAY one out that Shades of Kassie just reviewed also. Looking forward to trying it. Love you Lisa J. ❤❤❤

Thank you for a great in-depth review and your impressions on the foundation. I use this one almost every day for work or weekends. I love how it feels and makes my skin look. I can relate on the heaviness feeling but you have to play around with what kind primer and moisturizer you are using to avoid that. Hopefully it works out better or you!

Lisa J, I am happy to say that this foundation works great for me! I am VERY dry so I used my Becca Backlight Primer, applied the foundation with a brush and very very lightly set it with my Laura Mercier translucent powder and I always set everything with a dewy or luminous setting spray. It looks so nice on me and didn’t dry out or show texture. I just have a healthy glow. So far as a first impression, I love it!

Hi!! I think it’s worth a try for sure! My skin isn’t dry but of all the powders i try, this one leaves my skin looking smooth and not dry like some others do. It’s really pretty!

This is my favorite everyday drug store foundation. I do the same thing with the top! haha. I love that it has SPF. I have dry skin and usually wear it with primer and set it with powder. I also like the Healthy Liquid Lipsticks. They aren't completely transfer proof, but they feel great and last fairly long.

I could be mistaken, but I believe you said you didn't use primer before applying the foundation. I wonder if it would wear better and not accentuate pores quite as much with a primer underneath.

Your skin looks beautiful I’m sure the buildup probably just doesn’t come through the camera for us viewers. This is actually one of my favorite foundations, the only thing I hate about it is the paint smell.

Ok, glad I'm not crazy.. lol.. reading through comments it seems so many people love it! One thing I didn't do that sounds like a must is apply a primer though.
Lisa J I did use a primer with it as I do all my foundations, just wasn't anything special.
I loved this foundation. It stayed on all day and i have extremely oily skin, and it lasted in 90° weather on me.. however, it oxidized throughout the day which was a bummer!! And the lightest shade is even a little tiny too dark 😏
I’m glad it stayed on so long, so happy to hear that! I’m sorry to hear it’s a little too dark after oxidizing, I would try using a primer for oil, or setting it a bit more. Sometimes that helps with it.

I’ve never tried a drugstore foundation before. This sounds nice but wouldn’t have a clue on what color to get! I’m a Mac nc25 which one do you think I should try?
So I am NC 30/35 and the LN4 was a little too light for me.. may try that one? The shade range leaves a lot gaps unfortunately.

I know 16 shades is still more than what they usually come out with but it's still mediocre. I got MW2 but I'm usually medium-tan with warm/golden/olive undertones. The shade is too light for me! The next warm shade is too dark so this one will be going back to Ulta. I had the similar experience with this foundation as well. I have large pores on my cheeks this foundation definitely accentuated and it made me look super oily.
So far my favorite foundation is Bobbi Brown skin longwear in golden natural 4.75. Have you tried it yet? I really want to try the Face Atelier foundation you talk about but just stuck on what shade I might be.
Btw I love your hair! It's so nice and full. I unfortunately wasn't blessed with full hair. Just thankful that it's straight I guess haha.
Thank you Priya! :) The Face Atelier is sooo nice! Maybe call them and see if they can help recommend based on your current shade in BB. ? I find the FA is so forgiving and flexible in the shades... I think as long as you get close, you should get one that will work. For example, I can wear 4 or 6.

Hi Ana! I'm not sure why it didn't work well for me. reading the comments there are so many that love it. Angie from Hot and Flashy did a review on it, it might be helpful to watch hers too. She seemed to like it a little better than me.
I don't remember any other foundation you've tried making your pores look that obvious. 😕 My pores always look obvious so I think I'm gonna pass. I haven't watched Angie's video either but don't you just love her?!
BTW, I looked on you channel page and couldn't find a dedicated video on how to do liner like you. I've tried it on my own but am not having the best of luck. I have hooded down turned eyes and think your liner looks so beautiful and would love to re-create it, can you please do a quick liner how to? Pretty please? 😄

I wasn't a fan of this foundation at all. I tried it 3 times, in 3 different ways and it absolutely didn't work. I returned it because I knew I wouldn't wear it. Your hair looks beautiful!

Lisa J I tried it with a primer the first day, alone the second day and the last time I used it I wore it with a very moisturizing primer. It just didn't work for me.....and I wanted it to. I guess we all have different skin, different skin needs and the possibility of finding the "perfect " foundation for everyone is impossible to find. I thought it looked beautiful on other people though!

Possibly! Everyone seems to love it and says I should try a primer with it next time. I may need to try that.

Hi! Most people that have commented that they love it have mentioned having dry skin, also it sounds like a primer is a must with this one. I have normal skin but a little oily in center of my face.

I had the same problems I thought it made me look sorta powdery even though I didnt powder I tried to like this product wearing it all kinds of ways setting it and with a good primmer I just thought it made my skin look horrible
You still look gorgeous though😘 love the new hairstyle 😘

I think applying liquid foundation with your fingers is still the most effective and efficient way to apply and blend in foundation. no smearing, no hard work trying to blend and more cost efficient, you don't waste any on your brush or sponge applicator. jyst my opinion. Jean.
A couple thoughts...first off...your hair looks gorgeous!! And second...if that foundation makes your nearly perfect skin show pores, those of us in our 60s don't stand a chance!! lol!!! :) :) I think I will pass on this one! Thanks for helping me cross it off my list :)
