If I am asked what lucid dreaming can be used for, then through my experiences, I can say I have been able to work through may difficult situations with the help of lucid dreams. Living through dreams and dealing with experiences outside of the consciousness can be much freer and is not bound by constraints.
The consciousness protects us and enables us to be focused. We perceive only a very small part in our consciousness. It could be scaled with 5 millimeters of conscious perception on 11 kilometers of unconscious perception. If we would want to process everything that we have as impressions around us then we would become insane. However, the subconscious takes in much more than we are aware of.
Through this much information that slumber unconsciously in us, we can experience much more in conscious dreams and perceive things that were not so clear to us in conscious existence. We can share the deepest feelings with someone who is not in partnership with us in our real life. Or we can have erotic experiences that are much deeper, stronger and more incredible than can ever be experienced in reality.
Also, there are places and situations that are difficult to explain in real life that do not cause us rejection or guilt in dreams. Be free and train yourself for lucid dreams I highly recommend it.
