SENGOL is a symbol of justice and dignity. on which constitution is based on.
Holding a SENGOLE is a decree on the ruler to rule justly and fairly. In today's meaning the ruler is the Prime Minister. It is reminder to the holder sengole " TO RULE JUSTLY" and not to punish. If interpreted as it is today , debated we should disband our army which also existed during the time kings ruled us. But one thing the northern people don't understand that the kingship in south is purely on the merits of the people. If a king doesn't rule properly the people had a right to remove him.
