I am just starting out with this WEG Programming Suite... Why is there no Programs folder available in my Configurations window? I'm starting the project with a CFW700 drive, but I do not have the drive connected to the computer. Is it necessary to have the drive connected to see the Program folder to start building the ladder?
Hello James, Good to see you are using this great tool. We are positive you can achieve great results using that. You don’t need to connect to the product to use the ladder tool. That would give you the chance to work on the code before accessing the product and potentially save time. The reason why you are not finding the location for programming is the product you are picking. For the CFW700 the structure we use for ladder programming is the WLP which is another free software you can download from WEG website. So you could either give it a go using this software or choose a different product (for example CFW900) on WPS (WEG Programming suite) for that. Thanks again for contacting us.
