One thing that nobody mentions about Ronaldinho is his speed of thought when playing he will often release the ball early making him press resistant. also his hold up play isn't mentioned he has so much strength when holding off his defender often sealing them and often playing passes In the areas where his defender vacated and his teammate is running into. This anticipation made it hard for defences to rotate and get near him. Also his understanding of where to move and his perpetual movement off ball into vacant areas in midfield where he can interplay makes it incredibly hard to defend. Added to his 1v1 ability outwide make him impossible to defend. But one area of critique with R10 imo and other great dominant players like Zidane and Kaka that separated them from getting gaudy numbers like a Messi was they rarely played ahead of the ball as they were the ones supplying the ball. this reduces their relative goal threat as they are hardly in positions to finish these plays due to them creating itgoals had he moved off ball looking for a cutback like a Messi or the trailing run in the box like a Lampard or Gerrard did. Even without this primary scoring threat like a CR7 or Messi he was unplayable able to be the focal point of a great Barcelona attack that destroyed opponents defences to a 2 la ligas and a UCL title. This is why a lot of people consider R10 one of the greatest of all time
10/10 game from Dinho. You won't find a player to deliver this kind of matches nowadays, nor 50 years back. One of a kind. Showing off his amazing and unmatchable in-game-technique. A strong and incredible player in those times. A football fan has to be a little blind to deny that in his prime or even in his best games years after his prime, he showed that he is the most talented player ever. I will always give at least that title to him, and I would dare to state this thought almost as a fact, more powerful than an opinion. Thanks for reupload this. Keep working, keep sharing the best of football history.
Yes. But prime Ronaldo was like in the mid/late 90s. People usually forget that he fucked up his knee with TWENTY THREE years old, 2 years younger than Neymar today. He was a freak of nature, if it wasnt for his injuries i would put him as the second best player i saw, after of course Maradona.
I think that we should all take a moment to appriciate Ronaldo's 2002 world cup performance. He scored 8 goals and won world cup with fucked up knee, you could say with one fucking knee. Ronaldo and Ronaldinho are the best ever in my opinion. I know that Cristiano and Messi are constantly great and amazing, but in my opinion, competition was much more tough in era of Ronaldo and Ronaldinho. You've had at least 10 great clubs back in the day. Now, basically it is all about Barcelona, Real and Bayern. Back in the day, MUTD, Arsenal, Liverpool, Inter, Milan, Juventus, Barcelona, Real etc. were all great clubs with amazing players and also with much better defences. Today, defences are pretty much shit. Ofc, I have to pay tribute to some amazing defenders like Ramos, Chiellini, Bonucci, Silva but basically, when those old guys are done, you'll have realy few good young defenders. Back in the day you've had Nesta, Maldini, Cafu, Carlos, Zanneti, Materazzi, Cordoba, Hierro, Campbell, Cole, Thuram etc etc. It was tough man. I mean, i praise Messi and Ronaldo, I enjoy their football skills altough I do not like them as persons, but I just have to say that competition was far more better back in the days. Ofc, this is just my opinion. I hope that something will change in football in next years. Greeting to everyone and have fun watching this Ronaldinho's amazing performance.

I am no Barcelona fan, but this is pure genius. Wasn't the most disciplined player, but at his best could have been better than Messi, who I consider the best player in the world.
Miss these days... When Chelsea could actually defend and weren't afraid of playing any team even if it was Ronaldinho's Barcelona. Now we have Christensen, Alonso and Rudiger in defense sighs....
No doubt Ronaldinho is by far the most superior football player in terms of skill, but it is safe to say the LM10 and even CR7 have surpassed Ronaldinho in terms of efficiency. Maybe it’s the way modern football is played, but the attacking instinct of those two is just extraterrestrial, even though they might not hold a candle against this guy 1v1. Atleast CR7 won’t.
