Thank you A MILLION FOLD!!! I just got the cape in 2 attempts (the first one I did the zuk fight 5 times until I got it down. This strat is easy to follow through, and even though I had T90 power armour instead of tank I could still just afk tank through all the rounds with revo. Happy days c:
@@patrik1466 if ur having trouble, remember to not panic eat, and prayer flick when needed. There are ranger mobs (not challenge rangers) that deal alot of damage, so just pray ranged if ur having trouble. Use defencives and BRING A FAMILIAR (either a hellhound for damage reduction or bloodhound with prism of restoration and runes for pretty much unlimited heals)
Summed up the video for anyone that wants notes for their fight: Setup: Hellhound familiar with hellhound scrolls Equipment: 1. Use any obsidian helm for damage reduction (personal preference for extra damage reduction) - Donate tokkul in Fight Cauldron for extra 10% damage reduction. 30k tokkul for 40 minutes, 45k for 60 minutes) 2. Tank gear (for HP boost, dodge chance, and damage reduction) 3. Tokkul-zo 4. Amulet of souls 5. Aegis aura (if you have) Inventory: 1. 1x Purple potion is Adrenaline Renewal 2. 1x Light blue potion is Weapon Poison+++ 3. 4x Super Restores 4. 1x Vitality potion 5. Runes 6. Ectoplasm 7. 8x Sara brews 8. 1x Overload 9. 10x+ Vuln Bombs 10. Enhanced excalibur if you have. 11. Food (however many slots you have left) - blue blubber jellyfish Tip: Tick eating: Eat (first) and quickly drink (keybind both, eat first then drink in rapid succession - less than a fraction of a second) Revo Bar: Skeleton -> Ghost -> Soul Sap -> Touch of Death For any wave with bats (1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 11, 12), target bats first to prevent prayer drain. Wave 4 (Igneous): Stun igneous melee monsters. Near end before hitting special ability, charge adren on Zuk Wave 5 (Challenge Wave): Threads of fate + finger of death twice Wave 6: Jad Wave 8 (Rangers, pray ranged) - If rangers start hitting 2-3k per hit, get them to move around to reduce stacks Wave 9 (Igneous rangers - finger of death): Before using special ability at end, charge adren on Zuk Wave 10 (Challenge Wave): Finger of death, special Wave 11: Double Jad Waves 12-13: Lot of damage from monsters. Thank you so much! After a ton of setup, days of psyching myself up for another run, and lots of prep, I put on my necro tank gear and headed to zuk, with as much buffs as I could remember. I messed up some key clicking and almost got killed by a Jad! But I made it through and finished the waves. I did fail the fatal challenge because my barracade wasn't ready. Zuk started and I had my restores and freedom ready. I probably surged more than what I should. First pizza phase had me with all 3 still remaining when Zuk started to build his attack. As soon as I saw the action button, I clicked it! Then the second pizza phase hit. I pulled off some more manual attacks (I was using revo++ the entire time) and was able to clear the phase as well. Now it was time to finish Zuk. But wait, I just ran out of food! I then just spam clicked whatever was available! Then, suddenly, out of nowhere, death mark kicked in and I was victorious!!! I got my first Zuk kill and stone! Keep doing videos like this and helping those who struggle with PVM!!
Many times I've thought "Wow, I ate just in time. I almost died!" Then I look at my buff bar and see that my sign of life kicked in and saved my ass. lol

This guide really helped with getting my Zuk cape today, granted i had so much help with having the 200% food buff from todays RS Birthday Buff system, i didnt panic about running out of food and honestly that gave me confidence to learn the mechanics. So after the buff ended, i got back in there and got another igneous stone. Its all about practice, believe me I’m no good at pvm, but its very much possible with guides like these. Here are some of the tips i can give:- 1. 200% food increase buff was the best (i ended up going with a bob full of sara brews-which is an overkill but i was learning) 2. A cheap gaming mouse with atleast two additional buttons is a game changer (i keybinded double surge & freedom to each button) - this helps with quick actions especially for these two abilities which is absolutely crucial. 3. Get those bats first in the waves. 4. Vulnerability bombs (VB) are your friend, just use them. 5. For the first jad wave i felt i was getting overwhelmed and used to die immediately. So i use a VB on it and finish it off first fast while prayer flicking. 6. The challeges are perfectly explained in the video follow that to the teeth. Only at the third challenge i used a Vitality potion cuz my barricade didnt last enough. 7. The scorpion looking thing puts a burn on you like how zuk does in his first attack, so be sure to use freedom and check your debuff. 8. In the Zuk encounter, use freedom for the first mechanic, surge ONLY ONCE for the second mechanic and run back to previous position, and on the third mechanic surge only when his sword hits the ground, for the forth attack where he drops the stone i ended up tanking it cuz I wasn’t quick enough to sip a vitality potion. 9. I would suggest to stop using strong abilities on zuk after his third mechanic, so you can have adrenaline for the pizza phase,let revo do its thing. If you’re like me which you most likely are if you read till here, your dps must be crap and thats ok cuz you brought VB’s so use it on zuk and his minions in the pizza phase 10. When zuk pushes you away for the pizza phase, use freedom to be free of the stun. 11. I’ve come to notice that the first one spawns to the left side of from the location you are pushed to and for subsequent spawns as well , so you can start running towards that general area even before the pizza fire drops. 12. For the melee one, only use your death guard special move and then revo will kill it and you’d a second or two before the ranger. 13. For the ranger, use a VB, then finger of death and then volley of souls. 14. Finally for the mage, step into its shield, use a VB, and whatever thresholds that are available. I found this to be very doable for us low dps rotation pvm newbs I can see that many could finish zuk in just one pizza phase but i had to go through two pizza phases cuz my manual rotations arent great but with this plan in mind it’s very easy once you get that rhythm down, so practice and you’ll get the hang of it. You, my good sir, are a god. I just got my first Zuk kill using your guide - the only thing I did different was swap the Necro boots and gloves for obsidian, then paid 30k Tokkul for 20% additional DR. Managed to get a kill on Zuk after nearly flubbing the 2nd Pizza phase. I'm shaking right now, I'm honestly amazed I did it.
Lessons I learned from 2 failures following this guide (success soon?): 0. Note: this is NOT a low input/revolution guide. You will need to know how to trigger thresholds, etc manually to succeed. 1. The fire cauldrons at the two main safespots will deal magic damage, try to switch back and forth between them to avoid the excess damage. 2. Soul split is a poor choice when there are a lot of magic/ranged enemies. Use it once you've cleared most of the waves, not really a good first choice. 3. Before challenge waves, waste the ghost's special ability on Zuk and build adren back up, so your revo bar doesn't trigger it when you need to use finger of death. 4. At challenge wave 15, resonance the first hit, and don't barricade until you're almost going to get hit by the second. If you barricade too early, you will fail, and take 6000 damage. 5. Use deflect melee, not soul split at Zuk. You can soul split in-between attacks, but default to deflect melee, so you don't die when you forget/miss an attack. 6. Do not go after the mage in part 3 of pizza time until the ranger is dead. If you do, the ranger will walk directly underneath Zuk and be difficult to deal with (you may not even know if it's dead). 7. Avoid eating before Zuk as much as possible in order to maximize how much food you have for him. You will eat a fair amount for him unless you're extremely skilled at remembering when to resonance, soul split flicking, freedoming, etc.
This is quite literally, the most simplest form of something people struggle with, executed perfectly and exactly the type of guide the community needs. Well done Ryan, and the editing and video itself is straightforward, clean and spot on. Anyone looking to entry into zuk and is struggling this 100% is the guide for you.
Thank you for this guide. I am not good at PVM but this guide helped me get to Zuk. Died a few times learning the mechanics of Zuk especially to the pizza But got my first igneous rock. Took me 3 hours, 6 cups of tea and one grilled cheese sandwich in total to finally do it 😂

I finally did it! Lvl 96 necromancy. Managed to get flawless on my first complete run as well with tons of food left over. This is the first difficult boss I've both attempted and managed to defeat! Thanks @TheRSGuy! I've only ever killed GWD1 bosses and the few GWD2 needed for necro tank. But this guide plunged me into PvMing like I never expected. Although I did it with MUCH MORE MANUAL INPUT than the video, it's possible. Took me like 50 tries... Final run took 36 minutes. If you're anything like me ( Finger of Death, Soul Sap, volley. ToF will get you 3 souls at a time w/ the sap! * Don't spam vuln bombs and invoke death! Those are mostly only useful for Jad, Har Aken, and Zuk. I kept doing vuln bomb and invoke death during pizza phase and it ate up a bunch of time and kept my DPS low. * During pizza phase I was surging into fire all the time. Just click/face zuk, surge, THEN run left. every time. * When pizza starts, freedom yourself, and call Invoke Death while you are RUNNING over to the first slice. That way it's ready to go and you can kill the guy in each slice in

Best zuk guide out there tbh. Few corrections tho: Rubber banding is when entities in screen jitter/ teleport around. The thing with the jads and the other situations is not rubber banding its just the way RS handles things is jank so their animation doesn't line up with their position. Har aken in normal mode does the bombardment twice while submerged not once. He does it after a few secs when he initially goes down and once before he immediately comes.
Dude thank you for this guide! I was able to kill Zuk on my 2nd full attempt after dying to him my first run as a ran out of food. I switched to a Pack Yak and sure enough I had more than enough food to last through the fight. I'm sure once I get the waves and damage reduction down the Hellhound will be beneficial for me, but if you are still struggling to make it all the way, switch to your best BoB and bring more food and you will get it!
@@daryldwiggins8034 Aegis Aura is what I used. Anything to lower damage intake is key, so tank armor and Aegis was a massive reduction, plus the 30% dodge chance with T90 Necro tank and Darkness saves a lot of damage too.

Thanks for this video, I've now earned my first zuk cape! This is a late reply, but if you still read these, thanks a ton! Having a baseline I can leave running while my brain tries to juggle the more important points helps me a lot while I'm figuring out how to maintain my rotation and mechanics at the same time. Now to do it 3 more times for the other capes! and +1 for a hard mode version.
Thank you for this guide. It took me ten deaths during the waves, and nearly forty deaths at Zuk, but I beat him. I won't ever get the Cape, but at least with this guide I finally beat him once. Thank you.
Fantastic guide, I've taken a ton of notes and will be trying this soon. I have one suggestion: in the beginning, you showed your inventory, but didn't name everything in it. Being fairly new to high level bossing, I couldn't tell what many of the items were by sight, and had to ask for help to know what was there. Other than that, this guide has made Zuk feel achievable, rather than terrifying.
are you sure thats not a weapon poison instead of adren flask? he has cinderbanes on and you can see the 12min timer on screen because thats what i thought it was, very similar color either way though@@localantag
Thanks to your guide I got my first zuk kill 2 days ago! Now I just have to be able to do a deathless run. I had a smaller revo bar with all the 3 basics (touch of death, soul sap and basic attack) but decided to control my conjures myself but all my inventory and equipment was based on your foundation. I am 107 Necro btw for reference! :) For everyone out there attempting zuk: it isn’t completely afk. You need some input. The setup helps you with low input and you can make a lot of mistakes but you still need to put in a bit of effort. With that said, you don’t need to be a top PVMer for it :-)
I Just got my first zuk cape thanks to this guide! Never thought this Day would come! :D However, i did switch up things a little bit. I used bloodreaver with auto-scrolls set at 7 and penance aura, this way i had full inventory at zuk. Right after i killed HaarAken i swapped to a hellhound and swapped my aura. Keep in mind that you'll have to utilise safe spot to the fullest if doing this, because you're not as tanky in the waves.
Amazing video bro. I just got back into rs3 after an almost 400 day break. Was playing OSRs. I had been farming my infernal cape, getting to the 60 waves consistently but haven’t gotten it, but taking a break from OSRS. I got my necro to 95 and have full t95 gear, so excited to try this out. I have to do the quests to get Soul Split, get my Fire cape, then I’ll be studying this guide like crazy! Thank you sir! Amazing!

I'm using the same setup with aura and hellhound, with darkness and t90 warden but I'm taking MUCH more damage than in the vid - anyone else experiencing this?
Maybe my memory is bad but when necro first came out, did the ghost automatically cast it's haunt from revo? If not I think that's a problem. It drains a lot of adrenaline either way.
yes, please let me know if you come across a solution. this was incredibly frustrating. i think it has a lot to do with how he runs around and groups the mobs every wave despite saying "just safe spot and revo"

yeah no, i did everything like you said and ran exactly what you ran and im in t90 tank with tuk ring, hell hound and everything, and i took massive damage constantly throughout the fight and my hellhound died and he even had scrolls and nothing was working on healing it, and when i finally made it to zuk i died, this isnt easy at all even in t90 gear with darkness being spammed and doing everything i could to stay alive
I had the same exact problem. And after I tried doing this tactic I was perfect. Don’t try to prayer flick. Keep on melee prayers and focus on mechanics. Then boom. I got 5 kills in one night. You can do this!!

I like to imagine that somewhere it an alternate universe, there is an rs3 guide where the guide actually works as intended. I have literally no different abilities, positioning, gear, nothing different from this guide and im getting absolutely slapped by waves trying to soul split.
You should update this guide, soul splitting thru zuk no longer works due to nerfs (atleast with this set up). For those still trying do NOT camp soul split through out the zuk fight, instead Pray melee and switch to soul split during pizza phase only. With ghost and Pray melee, as well as using defensive abilities, you'll still take very little damage and barely need to eat because of ghost conjure. Hope this helps someone 😊
Iv been trying Zuk recently and been having some issues, its like the gods of Gielinor have blessed me with an RS Guy video to save me from the torment. Keep up the good work Ryan been loving the content recently.
I stopped playing RuneScape years ago but I love seeing players battle through new content and complete it I've gone back to old school RuneScape for now, getting back into it slowly haha 👍
This guide is so goated, I did all 4 stones/capes in less than 2 hours. The burn phases and general AoE become so much better with the necro Zuk cape as well.
Also having the ghost auto casted seems to really mess me up sometimes where I need to barricade or something during that one challenge but my ghost just eats 70% of my adren
dam i can't figure out a solution to this. he must be doing full manual haha lots of people are running into this. conjures and commands behave both as basic abilities. command should be a threshold ability IMO so we can turn that off in settings
You're an absolute legend! got my first cape just now :D! think of going back to zuk to grind the remaining stones for all capes and who know even try hardmode!
These are the guides that people need. It's sad that other creators only care about high apm hardcore players when the majority of rs3 players are revo+ bots (myself included)

The biggest problem I seem to have it the ghost taking all my adrenaline for the heal and not leaving me enough to burst down for different phases or use barricade for the challenge. Any tips on how to get past that? It causes me to fail most challenges and get stuck on the pizza time DPS check
SAME!! i have to like wait until i autocast "Command ghost", then build up adren on zuk, start challenge, and hope the damn "Command" doesn't get cast again before challenge is over so i can use Finger of Death TWICE. lol lots to think about. From my poking around in settings there's no way around this. Did you get past this?
gotta say, originally did my first zuk with mage to get my necro cape, but coming back to this guide to do it with necro made it so much more relaxed, even got my flawless clear :D thanks for the guide mate!
Good video, i've tried it a few times and failed, but i had power armour and didn't have a healing familiar, that may help me more. What i would love to see, after being a returning player struggling to catch up to pvm is a guide to all the super basic stuff that's never even mentioned in these types of guides. Stuff like the infernal puzzle box, war's retreat, passive ring of vigour, enhanced excalibur etc. I've spent weeks grinding out quests and Bosses to unlock a lot of this stuff and still manage to find new things that people are shocked i don't have because it's so basic it doesn't ocurr to them to suggest it.
100% this. Honestly a PVM basics guide would be fantastic. RS3 is such a different beast in terms of game play and mechanics compared to other MMOs. I would love to see a 2023 PVM 101 series from The RS GUY, Running through everything from eating to tick cycles and swapping from full revo to manual game play and external sources like PVME.

I did it! Using this guide I was able to get my first kill just now!!!! Thank you! Although I'm devastated to realize that I can't use checkpoints if I want the cape 😭 On the plus side, I never have to make the walk of shame ever again. Now I can do the teleport of shame!

still not able to get a kill with this set up.. no idea what I am doing wrong but I get hit so much harder than in the vid and I don't dis as much despite having exact same set up ;/ I give up.
i'm glad i'm not the only one. i can't make it past the two waves after the first challenge. the safe spot doesn't really work for me because i'm dragged out of it due to mages/rangers hitting me out of my own necro reach. so i just get swarmed each time. i'm eating 10 food before i even get to those waves. t90 weps, t90 tank armour. still getting destroyed.
Can you explain WHY you have 16k HP? I have the same gear: T90 warden, max cape, t90 weapons, amulet of souls, etc. I take more damage. I deal less damage. WHY? What's the difference? Jas book? 120 Necro (I'm 106?)
He fails to mention he is using a penance powder. That helps with prayer. If you prayer is draining from bats though due to poor luck of targeting, just click them first.
Thank you! Got my stone after about 5 attempts. I ended up using a Powder of protection and prayed melee for the Zuk fight, it made it such a breeze. If you can get to Zuk no problem but die to him then i would suggest the above method. Funny thing is, the only reason i know about powder of protection is because of your Vorkath guide. TYSM for all your help.
Thanks Ryan, just got my first cape. Totally forgot the charge the ring, but it was pretty easy. Anyone reading this just remember during zuk himself, don't let the hellhound die and periodically drink your super restores
ya idk wtf u did but i get hit like a freight train with 90 tank and 90 weapons. hellhound died in 2 wavs with using special ability when i could.. dps was nowhere as fast.
I would definitely appreciate a flawless hard mode video! .. I kind of tried hard mode using mage and used the safe spots and I couldn't even get to phase 5. As always, Ryan, thank you for what you do! It's always appreciated!
Your revo bar advice is bunk. Unless I missed something, your command ghost ability will always automatically drain your adrenaline. Turning off auto threshold abilities in combat options doesn't fix this either. I'm assuming you just didn't buy the talent, but for those who did this method will not work. You must control your ghost manually.

This video didn’t help with the fight. Dude is showing off and “forgets to mention” his buffs (you have to watch a different video to figure out what they are) and for beginners, camping soul split in SE corner will kill you. This video seems like it was for clout. I’m starting to believe the RUclipsrs, like the rest of RS, are keeping their secrets close to their chests. Edit 1/11/24: New nerfs to the conjures make this method almost ineffective. 1/10, not recommended. The 1 point is for trying.
I'm not a new player but for a long time I stressed about pvm (didn't get my fire cape until I'd been playing for like 5 years). I really appreciate these simplified guides for just getting a kc. Thanks
This video looks good,but as a guide it's outright terrible. I currently have 10 failed attempts and needed to throw out almost everyone this video said. Hellhound? dead by wave 5 even with scrolls. Zuk himself? Hes hitting me for 2400s with full t90 tank armor, max cape, and darkness. This video gives so much incorrect crap it's insane, even the safe spot itself is garbage, there's an 999999% better spot around the corner so things need to path around, if you stand where he does you will get demolished. Also use scythe on the Igneous TzekHaar-Xil, don't use death's grasp as it does no damage and doesn't stop them from healing. Blood Siphon on Igneous waves works pretty well with so many things nearby to heal up with. I think best to just take a yak full of food (sharks or better) and another pouch and drop the yak on zuk for a ripper maybe, or a hellhound at that point. Also Ghost healing is worthless don't bother with it and makes sure you have vamp aura, Penance, or even aegis is worthless because of the amount of damage getting taken. I really don't get how this guy makes a video and can be so offbase. Title is marked as "low input, revolution" we seem to have very differnet views of low input
This guide is garbage you don't explain any of the zuk mechanics using your guide has resulted in over 30 failures trying your method I don't see why the community asks for your input as this is the garbage were given as a guide thank God protox still makes guides that actually work
Lol what? He does explain the mechanics, quite clearly even. Only took me a few tries. I even had slightly worse gear/dps than him as well. Sounds like a you problem.
Fantastic guide, has definitely helped me a lot. A couple of little things could be worth mentioning, such a your surge and dive movements during pizza phase and the fact dive is very helpful during pizza phase.
Thank you so much! I was losing so much hope on getting the cape, but after 5 tries of full runs I finally got it! Also, what super helped me was a powder of penance and protection that helped me keep my prayer and reduced damage praying melee against zuk.
If you're a new-ish iron don't even bother attempting this if you think you can make it by skipping some of what is used here. What Ryan is using here requires 93 crafting (boosting to 99 with stew), 90-92 herblore (boosting to 96/98 with stew), Darkness requires 86 Archaeology (or about 2000 years of skilling which should be afk, but is not). Ryan has maxed stats, taking his defense to 118 with supreme overloads but that's ironically not shown in the video because that would make it look unreasonable. But yes, this is for beginners. If you walk in there without overloads, a hellhound and 80-90-ish defense, you're essentially putting yourself in front of a pneumatic roller and will be turned into meaty mush for player owned farm animals to enjoy.
I'm full 99 with 120 herblore and arch, 106 necro, have everything he said, plus relics and still can't do it. Oh and I swap the boots for the obsidian ones to have even more dmg reduction but I can't get to zuk
Thank you A MILLION FOLD!!! I just got the cape in 2 attempts (the first one I did the zuk fight 5 times until I got it down. This strat is easy to follow through, and even though I had T90 power armour instead of tank I could still just afk tank through all the rounds with revo. Happy days c:

@@patrik1466 if ur having trouble, remember to not panic eat, and prayer flick when needed. There are ranger mobs (not challenge rangers) that deal alot of damage, so just pray ranged if ur having trouble. Use defencives and BRING A FAMILIAR (either a hellhound for damage reduction or bloodhound with prism of restoration and runes for pretty much unlimited heals)
I brought 3 pouches of bloodhound (cuz I didnt have prism) and got through it just fine. It takes practice.

Hellhound familiar with hellhound scrolls
Equipment:
1. Use any obsidian helm for damage reduction (personal preference for extra damage reduction) - Donate tokkul in Fight Cauldron for extra 10% damage reduction. 30k tokkul for 40 minutes, 45k for 60 minutes)
2. Tank gear (for HP boost, dodge chance, and damage reduction)
3. Tokkul-zo
4. Amulet of souls
5. Aegis aura (if you have)
Inventory:
1. 1x Purple potion is Adrenaline Renewal
2. 1x Light blue potion is Weapon Poison+++
3. 4x Super Restores
4. 1x Vitality potion
5. Runes
6. Ectoplasm
7. 8x Sara brews
8. 1x Overload
9. 10x+ Vuln Bombs
10. Enhanced excalibur if you have.
11. Food (however many slots you have left) - blue blubber jellyfish
Tip: Tick eating: Eat (first) and quickly drink (keybind both, eat first then drink in rapid succession - less than a fraction of a second)
Revo Bar: Skeleton -> Ghost -> Soul Sap -> Touch of Death
For any wave with bats (1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 11, 12), target bats first to prevent prayer drain.
Wave 4 (Igneous): Stun igneous melee monsters. Near end before hitting special ability, charge adren on Zuk
Wave 5 (Challenge Wave): Threads of fate + finger of death twice
Wave 6: Jad
Wave 8 (Rangers, pray ranged) - If rangers start hitting 2-3k per hit, get them to move around to reduce stacks
Wave 9 (Igneous rangers - finger of death): Before using special ability at end, charge adren on Zuk
Wave 10 (Challenge Wave): Finger of death, special
Wave 11: Double Jad
Waves 12-13: Lot of damage from monsters. Try to safespot. Make sure ghost is able to attack and not stuck.
Wave 14 (Igneous mage shield): Near end, before using special ability, charge up adren on Zuk to get ready for challenge
Wave 15 (Challenge wave): Barricade once monsters spawn
Wave 16: Triple Jad
Wave 17: Har-Aken (East or West), avoid erupting lava (move two spaces)
If not killed in 1 cycle, get popup saying (Har-Aken is bombarding you). Move at least 3 tiles north

Thank you so much! After a ton of setup, days of psyching myself up for another run, and lots of prep, I put on my necro tank gear and headed to zuk, with as much buffs as I could remember. I messed up some key clicking and almost got killed by a Jad! But I made it through and finished the waves. I did fail the fatal challenge because my barracade wasn't ready. Zuk started and I had my restores and freedom ready. I probably surged more than what I should. First pizza phase had me with all 3 still remaining when Zuk started to build his attack. As soon as I saw the action button, I clicked it! Then the second pizza phase hit. I pulled off some more manual attacks (I was using revo++ the entire time) and was able to clear the phase as well. Now it was time to finish Zuk. But wait, I just ran out of food! I then just spam clicked whatever was available! Then, suddenly, out of nowhere, death mark kicked in and I was victorious!!! I got my first Zuk kill and stone! Keep doing videos like this and helping those who struggle with PVM!!
Many times I've thought "Wow, I ate just in time. I almost died!" Then I look at my buff bar and see that my sign of life kicked in and saved my ass. lol

@@afrog2666 Starting is the first step, it's ok to fail. A lot of the "phonebook" becomes second nature once you give it a go. Don't be discouraged.

This guide really helped with getting my Zuk cape today, granted i had so much help with having the 200% food buff from todays RS Birthday Buff system, i didnt panic about running out of food and honestly that gave me confidence to learn the mechanics. So after the buff ended, i got back in there and got another igneous stone. Its all about practice, believe me I’m no good at pvm, but its very much possible with guides like these.
Here are some of the tips i can give:-
1. 200% food increase buff was the best (i ended up going with a bob full of sara brews-which is an overkill but i was learning)
2. A cheap gaming mouse with atleast two additional buttons is a game changer (i keybinded double surge & freedom to each button) - this helps with quick actions especially for these two abilities which is absolutely crucial.
3. Get those bats first in the waves.
4. Vulnerability bombs (VB) are your friend, just use them.
5. For the first jad wave i felt i was getting overwhelmed and used to die immediately. So i use a VB on it and finish it off first fast
while prayer flicking.
6. The challeges are perfectly explained in the video follow that to the teeth. Only at the third challenge i used a Vitality potion cuz my barricade didnt last enough.
7. The scorpion looking thing puts a burn on you like how zuk does in his first attack, so be sure to use freedom and check your debuff.
8. In the Zuk encounter, use freedom for the first mechanic, surge ONLY ONCE for the second mechanic and run back to previous
position, and on the third mechanic surge only when his sword hits the ground, for the forth attack where he drops the stone i ended up tanking it cuz I wasn’t quick enough to sip a vitality potion.
9. I would suggest to stop using strong abilities on zuk after his third mechanic, so you can have adrenaline for the pizza phase,let revo do its thing.
If you’re like me which you most likely are if you read till here, your dps must be crap and thats ok cuz you brought VB’s so use it on zuk and his minions in the pizza phase
10. When zuk pushes you away for the pizza phase, use freedom to be free of the stun.
11. I’ve come to notice that the first one spawns to the left side of from the location you are pushed to and for subsequent spawns as well , so you can start running towards that general area even before the pizza fire drops.
12. For the melee one, only use your death guard special move and then revo will kill it and you’d a second or two before the ranger.
13. For the ranger, use a VB, then finger of death and then volley of souls.
14. Finally for the mage, step into its shield, use a VB, and whatever thresholds that are available.
I found this to be very doable for us low dps rotation pvm newbs
I can see that many could finish zuk in just one pizza phase but i had to go through two pizza phases cuz my manual rotations arent great but with this plan in mind it’s very easy once you get that rhythm down, so practice and you’ll get the hang of it. Good luck to all now and once again thank you for this wonderful guide.
to modify 8. 2nd mech just surge, surge, and if It isn't off cd, then dive for the 3rd
As someone who has never done zuk, this was an incredible guide. I really appreciate it and look forward to trying this once I am a bit more prepared.
You, my good sir, are a god. I just got my first Zuk kill using your guide - the only thing I did different was swap the Necro boots and gloves for obsidian, then paid 30k Tokkul for 20% additional DR. Managed to get a kill on Zuk after nearly flubbing the 2nd Pizza phase.
I'm shaking right now, I'm honestly amazed I did it.
Lessons I learned from 2 failures following this guide (success soon?):
0. Note: this is NOT a low input/revolution guide. You will need to know how to trigger thresholds, etc manually to succeed.
1. The fire cauldrons at the two main safespots will deal magic damage, try to switch back and forth between them to avoid the excess damage.
2. Soul split is a poor choice when there are a lot of magic/ranged enemies. Use it once you've cleared most of the waves, not really a good first choice.
3. Before challenge waves, waste the ghost's special ability on Zuk and build adren back up, so your revo bar doesn't trigger it when you need to use finger of death.
4. At challenge wave 15, resonance the first hit, and don't barricade until you're almost going to get hit by the second. If you barricade too early, you will fail, and take 6000 damage.
5. Use deflect melee, not soul split at Zuk. You can soul split in-between attacks, but default to deflect melee, so you don't die when you forget/miss an attack.
6. Do not go after the mage in part 3 of pizza time until the ranger is dead. If you do, the ranger will walk directly underneath Zuk and be difficult to deal with (you may not even know if it's dead).
7. Avoid eating before Zuk as much as possible in order to maximize how much food you have for him. You will eat a fair amount for him unless you're extremely skilled at remembering when to resonance, soul split flicking, freedoming, etc.

Managed to get flawless on my first complete run as well with tons of food left over.

I've only ever killed GWD1 bosses and the few GWD2 needed for necro tank. But this guide plunged me into PvMing like I never expected.
Although I did it with MUCH MORE MANUAL INPUT than the video, it's possible. Took me like 50 tries... Final run took 36 minutes.
If you're anything like me ( Finger of Death, Soul Sap, volley. ToF will get you 3 souls at a time w/ the sap!
* Don't spam vuln bombs and invoke death! Those are mostly only useful for Jad, Har Aken, and Zuk. I kept doing vuln bomb and invoke death during pizza phase and it ate up a bunch of time and kept my DPS low.
* During pizza phase I was surging into fire all the time. Just click/face zuk, surge, THEN run left. every time.
* When pizza starts, freedom yourself, and call Invoke Death while you are RUNNING over to the first slice. That way it's ready to go and you can kill the guy in each slice in
You make this look super simple and easy. When I try it exactly how you have it, I can’t get past wave 4 lol

If you don't have the right invention perks and t90 gear it's not going to be as easy as he makes it look.

Few corrections tho:
Rubber banding is when entities in screen jitter/ teleport around. The thing with the jads and the other situations is not rubber banding its just the way RS handles things is jank so their animation doesn't line up with their position.
Har aken in normal mode does the bombardment twice while submerged not once. He does it after a few secs when he initially goes down and once before he immediately comes.
Dude thank you for this guide! I was able to kill Zuk on my 2nd full attempt after dying to him my first run as a ran out of food. I switched to a Pack Yak and sure enough I had more than enough food to last through the fight. I'm sure once I get the waves and damage reduction down the Hellhound will be beneficial for me, but if you are still struggling to make it all the way, switch to your best BoB and bring more food and you will get it!
What aura did you use after switching pets
@@daryldwiggins8034 Aegis Aura is what I used. Anything to lower damage intake is key, so tank armor and Aegis was a massive reduction, plus the 30% dodge chance with T90 Necro tank and Darkness saves a lot of damage too.

Thanks for this video, I've now earned my first zuk cape! This is a late reply, but if you still read these, thanks a ton! Having a baseline I can leave running while my brain tries to juggle the more important points helps me a lot while I'm figuring out how to maintain my rotation and mechanics at the same time.
Now to do it 3 more times for the other capes!

Thank you for this guide. It took me ten deaths during the waves, and nearly forty deaths at Zuk, but I beat him. I won't ever get the Cape, but at least with this guide I finally beat him once. Thank you.
Fantastic guide, I've taken a ton of notes and will be trying this soon. I have one suggestion: in the beginning, you showed your inventory, but didn't name everything in it. Being fairly new to high level bossing, I couldn't tell what many of the items were by sight, and had to ask for help to know what was there. Other than that, this guide has made Zuk feel achievable, rather than terrifying.

Thanks to your guide I got my first zuk kill 2 days ago! Now I just have to be able to do a deathless run. I had a smaller revo bar with all the 3 basics (touch of death, soul sap and basic attack) but decided to control my conjures myself but all my inventory and equipment was based on your foundation. I am 107 Necro btw for reference! :)
For everyone out there attempting zuk: it isn’t completely afk. You need some input. The setup helps you with low input and you can make a lot of mistakes but you still need to put in a bit of effort.
With that said, you don’t need to be a top PVMer for it :-)

I Just got my first zuk cape thanks to this guide! Never thought this Day would come! :D
However, i did switch up things a little bit. I used bloodreaver with auto-scrolls set at 7 and penance aura, this way i had full inventory at zuk.
Right after i killed HaarAken i swapped to a hellhound and swapped my aura. Keep in mind that you'll have to utilise safe spot to the fullest if doing this, because you're not as tanky in the waves.
I'd love a hardmode video. I can't do it normally so seeing new things I could try would be super nice!
Amazing video bro. I just got back into rs3 after an almost 400 day break. Was playing OSRs. I had been farming my infernal cape, getting to the 60 waves consistently but haven’t gotten it, but taking a break from OSRS. I got my necro to 95 and have full t95 gear, so excited to try this out. Maybe my memory is bad but when necro first came out, did the ghost automatically cast it's haunt from revo? If not I think that's a problem. It drains a lot of adrenaline either way.
yes, please let me know if you come across a solution. this was incredibly frustrating. i think it has a lot to do with how he runs around and groups the mobs every wave despite saying "just safe spot and revo"

yeah no, i did everything like you said and ran exactly what you ran and im in t90 tank with tuk ring, hell hound and everything, and i took massive damage constantly throughout the fight and my hellhound died and he even had scrolls and nothing was working on healing it, and when i finally made it to zuk i died, this isnt easy at all even in t90 gear with darkness being spammed and doing everything i could to stay alive
I had the same exact problem. And after I tried doing this tactic I was perfect. Don’t try to prayer flick. Keep on melee prayers and focus on mechanics. Then boom. I got 5 kills in one night. You can do this!!

I like to imagine that somewhere it an alternate universe, there is an rs3 guide where the guide actually works as intended. I have literally no different abilities, positioning, gear, nothing different from this guide and im getting absolutely slapped by waves trying to soul split.

You should update this guide, soul splitting thru zuk no longer works due to nerfs (atleast with this set up).
For those still trying do NOT camp soul split through out the zuk fight, instead Pray melee and switch to soul split during pizza phase only. With ghost and Pray melee, as well as using defensive abilities, you'll still take very little damage and barely need to eat because of ghost conjure.

If you are struggling with prayer he forgets to mention penance powder giving him 2.5% of the dmg he takes as prayer points

This guide is so goated, I did all 4 stones/capes in less than 2 hours. The burn phases and general AoE become so much better with the necro Zuk cape as well.
Also having the ghost auto casted seems to really mess me up sometimes where I need to barricade or something during that one challenge but my ghost just eats 70% of my adren

I think he only has basic abilities being triggered which keeps the conjures on cool down but doesn't command them.

dam i can't figure out a solution to this. he must be doing full manual haha lots of people are running into this. conjures and commands behave both as basic abilities. command should be a threshold ability IMO so we can turn that off in settings
@@mwyt345 ive gotten all 4 zuk capes and i just put the ghost on a seperate bar and summoned that on its own manually and everything worked fine

The biggest problem I seem to have it the ghost taking all my adrenaline for the heal and not leaving me enough to burst down for different phases or use barricade for the challenge. Any tips on how to get past that? It causes me to fail most challenges and get stuck on the pizza time DPS check
SAME!! i have to like wait until i autocast "Command ghost", then build up adren on zuk, start challenge, and hope the damn "Command" doesn't get cast again before challenge is over so i can use Finger of Death TWICE. lol lots to think about. From my poking around in settings there's no way around this. Did you get past this?

Good video, i've tried it a few times and failed, but i had power armour and didn't have a healing familiar, that may help me more.
What i would love to see, after being a returning player struggling to catch up to pvm is a guide to all the super basic stuff that's never even mentioned in these types of guides. Stuff like the infernal puzzle box, war's retreat, passive ring of vigour, enhanced excalibur etc. I've spent weeks grinding out quests and Bosses to unlock a lot of this stuff and still manage to find new things that people are shocked i don't have because it's so basic it doesn't ocurr to them to suggest it.
100% this. Honestly a PVM basics guide would be fantastic. RS3 is such a different beast in terms of game play and mechanics compared to other MMOs. I would love to see a 2023 PVM 101 series from The RS GUY, Running through everything from eating to tick cycles and swapping from full revo to manual game play and external sources like PVME.

You probably have to make sure you player flick jads since you don't have as much hp

You should be okay in power gear, but it's a lot more relaxed in the tank set

@@Quake2Freak from my testing and perusing of all these comments, the "command" ability still triggers when only "Basic" is ticked in revo settings. This is a big blocker

still not able to get a kill with this set up.. no idea what I am doing wrong but I get hit so much harder than in the vid and I don't dis as much despite having exact same set up ;/ I give up.
i'm glad i'm not the only one. i can't make it past the two waves after the first challenge. the safe spot doesn't really work for me because i'm dragged out of it due to mages/rangers hitting me out of my own necro reach. so i just get swarmed each time. i'm eating 10 food before i even get to those waves. t90 weps, t90 tank armour. still getting destroyed.

I have the same gear: T90 warden, max cape, t90 weapons, amulet of souls, etc.

im taking a lot more damage in the same gear and also my prayer drains so fast even when i focus the bats
He fails to mention he is using a penance powder. That helps with prayer. If you prayer is draining from bats though due to poor luck of targeting, just click them first.
Thank you! Got my stone after about 5 attempts. I ended up using a Powder of protection and prayed melee for the Zuk fight, it made it such a breeze. If you can get to Zuk no problem but die to him then i would suggest the above method.
Funny thing is, the only reason i know about powder of protection is because of your Vorkath guide. TYSM for all your help.

ya idk wtf u did but i get hit like a freight train with 90 tank and 90 weapons. hellhound died in 2 wavs with using special ability when i could.. dps was nowhere as fast.
I would definitely appreciate a flawless hard mode video! .. I kind of tried hard mode using mage and used the safe spots and I couldn't even get to phase 5. As always, Ryan, thank you for what you do! It's always appreciated!
Your revo bar advice is bunk. Unless I missed something, your command ghost ability will always automatically drain your adrenaline.
Turning off auto threshold abilities in combat options doesn't fix this either. I'm assuming you just didn't buy the talent, but for those who did this method will not work. You must control your ghost manually.

I always love these videos, cause I'll follow them, take 10x more damage do half as much damage, and nothing works out the same at all

This video didn’t help with the fight. Dude is showing off and “forgets to mention” his buffs (you have to watch a different video to figure out what they are) and for beginners, camping soul split in SE corner will kill you.
This video seems like it was for clout. I’m starting to believe the RUclipsrs, like the rest of RS, are keeping their secrets close to their chests.

Yup, can confirm. There are now fire spouts in the safe spots. That, combined with the Necromancy nerf, makes this guide pretty canned.
I'm not a new player but for a long time I stressed about pvm (didn't get my fire cape until I'd been playing for like 5 years). I really appreciate these simplified guides for just getting a kc. Thanks
This video looks good,but as a guide it's outright terrible. I currently have 10 failed attempts and needed to throw out almost everyone this video said. Hellhound? dead by wave 5 even with scrolls. Zuk himself? Hes hitting me for 2400s with full t90 tank armor, max cape, and darkness. This video gives so much incorrect crap it's insane, even the safe spot itself is garbage, there's an 999999% better spot around the corner so things need to path around, if you stand where he does you will get demolished. Also use scythe on the Igneous TzekHaar-Xil, don't use death's grasp as it does no damage and doesn't stop them from healing. Blood Siphon on Igneous waves works pretty well with so many things nearby to heal up with. I think best to just take a yak full of food (sharks or better) and another pouch and drop the yak on zuk for a ripper maybe, or a hellhound at that point. Also Ghost healing is worthless don't bother with it and makes sure you have vamp aura, Penance, or even aegis is worthless because of the amount of damage getting taken. I really don't get how this guy makes a video and can be so offbase. Title is marked as "low input, revolution" we seem to have very differnet views of low input

This guide is garbage you don't explain any of the zuk mechanics using your guide has resulted in over 30 failures trying your method I don't see why the community asks for your input as this is the garbage were given as a guide thank God protox still makes guides that actually work
Lol what? He does explain the mechanics, quite clearly even. Only took me a few tries. I even had slightly worse gear/dps than him as well. Sounds like a you problem.
Fantastic guide, has definitely helped me a lot. A couple of little things could be worth mentioning, such a your surge and dive movements during pizza phase and the fact dive is very helpful during pizza phase.
Thank you so much! I was losing so much hope on getting the cape, but after 5 tries of full runs I finally got it! Also, what super helped me was a powder of penance and protection that helped me keep my prayer and reduced damage praying melee against zuk.
If you're a new-ish iron don't even bother attempting this if you think you can make it by skipping some of what is used here. What Ryan is using here requires 93 crafting (boosting to 99 with stew), 90-92 herblore (boosting to 96/98 with stew), Darkness requires 86 Archaeology (or about 2000 years of skilling which should be afk, but is not). Ryan has maxed stats, taking his defense to 118 with supreme overloads but that's ironically not shown in the video because that would make it look unreasonable. But yes, this is for beginners. If you walk in there without overloads, a hellhound and 80-90-ish defense, you're essentially putting yourself in front of a pneumatic roller and will be turned into meaty mush for player owned farm animals to enjoy.
I'm full 99 with 120 herblore and arch, 106 necro, have everything he said, plus relics and still can't do it. Oh and I swap the boots for the obsidian ones to have even more dmg reduction but I can't get to zuk
