Just an FYI for those unaware, the "words written in red" refer to the red words printed in the bible. If a sentence is written in red, it means the words are being spoken by Jesus
The positive point of this song is that this is NOT the end. Jesus said that because He lives, those who trust Him will not perish. These are some of the words that are written in red. There is more to life than what we can see with our natural sense of sight. Good job on your reaction.
Ronnie Dunn wrote this because he lived it. This song is about old man Wrigley and their friendship. That man meant the world to him. He gets chocked up when he talks about him.
This song tears me up EVERY SINGLE TIME! I have lost more than half my family; parents, spouse, 6 of 9 siblings, 5 of 6 Fur Babies (I have no 2-legged children). The truth of this piece is what I hold onto EVERY SINGLE DAY.
No shame in shedding a tear . Hear this and you don't have a tear - something's wrong . Singer is Ronnie Dunn , guitarist is Kix Brooks . Enjoy your show . Keep it up !
It isn't a sad story. It is a story of God's promise that when we believe, we have eternal life. We WILL see our loved ones again if they have believed.
Hey, man, if you don't get emotional watching this, you don't have a heart!!! I've watched it a million and one times, and I still get choked-up---and real men, cry!! Beautiful reaction!! Next, you should do "Concrete Angel", by Martina McBride (official video)!!
It’s a beautiful song… Played at my mama’s funeral. It hits real hard man. Thanks Doc Rich for reacting to it. I miss mom everyday, but this brings a smile and tears to my face.
Loved seeing your reaction to this song. Don't let it be a.one and done. There is a message in this song. To me it's about having the faith that once you get to the other side you will see your loved ones again that you lost. It does make me tear up every time I hear it but it also makes me think how he said he would see his wife and child soon because he believed. That's a great message for all of us. Keep the faith and we too will be reunited with our loved ones. So think of it that way and it will give you even more appreciation for the song.
Awesome to see the young boy running to his friends house. Like he couldn't get there fast enough. The video is awesome with the fact the older man taught this young man and shared his life story with him. He shared Jesus Christ with a young child and it appears the young boy now a man believes.
This song gets me every time. The organ takes me to church and I'm not religious. The video is beautifully done...now I need to drink some water to rehydrate.
@Doc Rich. I know this video is a year old and the likelihood of you reading this is probably pretty small, but I'm going to do it anyway. I'm an old vet. I was pretty much an athlete most of my life. From my time in the Army through my adulthood, till about 40, I played full court. I wasn't ripped, I could just go. Now I'm much older and life has taken its toll. Arthritis even keeps me from picking up my guitar because it hurts too much to play longer than 15 minutes. There's a lot of things I can't do now. That kind of shows you what you can do when you're in that position. It changes your perspective. I have discovered that it's okay to feel and enjoy emotion so long as it doesn't affect my ability to reason clearly. Sometimes, allowing yourself to connect emotionally can feel pretty good. Even the sad stuff. Wearing my heart on my sleeve while logically and reasonably making decisions has really been much more fun than being the tough guy, and the change I've experienced in most of the relationships with friends and family has been incredible. Now, I know this all might seem weird coming from a soldier, but I'm much closer to the end of my journey than I am to the beginning, and that perspective helps a person understand that there is only so much time to completely enjoy this experience of life. I'm determined to enjoy it all. I think if you take an old man's experience, and kind of understand that I've told you all of this to suggest that perhaps it's okay to enjoy a moment and share that with your subscribers. I still tear up listening to this song.
I don't think you are supposed to feel sad, of course we miss those who pass, I lost my dad 3 years ago and this song reminds me that I will see him again. Chapter, verse and words written in red. John 3:16. "Whoever believes in me will have ever lasting life." I believe there's hope, even through the tears. 💜
This is a true story about Ronny Dunns young life. He's the singer and Kix Brooks is playing the guitar. Ye is a very talented singer in his own right.
Hey man a song that hits hard too is holes in the floor of heaven by Steve Wariner amazing song my grandfather was a fairly strong man was one of his favorite songs I only saw him cry and I mean really cry when my grandmother passed away but this song would make him a bit misty eyed.
Saddens me that the youth of today are so caught up in their technology that they're not taking the time out to get to know the older folks that can kick some knowledge to them make them laugh harder than they ever have,💜 thank you for reaction 👏👏👏💚💜
This is the singer Ronnie Dunn's true story. Kix Brooks is the one playing the guitar. They both sing but this was Ronnie's story to tell. One of the best song ever
You should check out their duet with Reba Mcentire "If You See Him/Her", and their song "South of Santa Fe". There's a ton of great songs by them, but those are some of my favorites
One and done?!?!.... It's not a sad song!.. It's a song of hope! The words in red that Jesus spoke gave the old man hope of seeing his wife and son again. And they give Ronnie Dunn the hope of seeing his friend again. But if you live without those words in red, then death IS the only thing to believe in. And unfortunately, it will be far worse than you can imagine. Death is definitely not something to be avoided. It comes for everyone. It needs to be addressed. But there is hope,... for those who believe.
When you said about crying saying about preying for someone that you have fillings dies for there's no way to do that if you notice one black other white that is saying love has no color
Just an FYI for those unaware, the "words written in red" refer to the red words printed in the bible. If a sentence is written in red, it means the words are being spoken by Jesus

❤️🙏
This is NOT a sad song but one of rejoice!
thanks for that I didnt know
This is a reaffirmation of Jesus' promise for an afterlife. It's not SAD to believers! ❤ Temporary loss, eternal life.
This is about a real person from Ronnie Dunn’s life. I cry every time I see this. Let it out, son!!🌹❤️

I'm not religious, but when the choir comes in, that part ALWAYS gives me chills. Lol it isn't one I can listen to very often, like Whiskey Lullaby.
I am tingling all over!! One of my favorite songs ever.
You don't need to be Religious to believe in Jesus and have a personal relationship with him!! God bless you

U tried to prepare... OMG.. I'm crying... What a powerful song..
I love that this is a personal story that Ronnie Dunn is sharing.
Best voice in country music. Underrated.
Country Music to me is the best storytelling genre when people give it a chance and not just think it's the stereotype
If you listen to this and don’t feel something you need to check your pulse.
Kix Brooks & Ronnie Dunn. Ronnie singing & kix playing the guitar! They have a terrific catalog of music!!

Life long country fan and atheist but I can fully appreciate this song for how amazing it is.

They've always been my favorite country band! There is no amount of times I've prepared my self enough to not cry😂I literally cry every single time!
This song you could listen to when a love one passes. It can help with grieving.
Ronnie Dunn (the one singing) was a youth pastor before he began his singing career, and you can hear it in his voice.
Awesome to see the young boy running to his friends house. Like he couldn't get there fast enough. The video is awesome with the fact the older man taught this young man and shared his life story with him. He shared Jesus Christ with a young child and it appears the young boy now a man believes.
I sobbed the first few times I heard this … still cry
I have listened to this song many times and I still get chocked up, I Believe🙏❤

Hey man a song that hits hard too is holes in the floor of heaven by Steve Wariner amazing song my grandfather was a fairly strong man was one of his favorite songs I only saw him cry and I mean really cry when my grandmother passed away but this song would make him a bit misty eyed.
Dunn wrote this because it is real beause Dunn and the man were really friends. They cared and loved each other.
Ronny Dunn knocks this song out of the park!
Saddens me that the youth of today are so caught up in their technology that they're not taking the time out to get to know the older folks that can kick some knowledge to them make them laugh harder than they ever have,💜 thank you for reaction 👏👏👏💚💜
Brooks is playing the guitar ❤
This is a repeater for me, because the message I get is my late Mom's faith was strong and real and this song helps mine strengthen.

Country brings you real life. This is singer, Ronnie Dunn’s childhood story.
I tear up almost every time I hear this.
Such a great song!
You should check out their duet with Reba Mcentire "If You See Him/Her", and their song "South of Santa Fe".
There's a ton of great songs by them, but those are some of my favorites
My favorite Brooks and Dunn and Reba collab was Cowgirls Don't Cry
We see you brother, Raise that hand. Amen God Bless. Cry out to Him.
I agree3 with you, bro. Men can't afford to show weakness in today's world.
That's the cycle of life.Focus on the positives and put it on your playlist.
It makes you think about the aferlife? I. Think Brooks was called to preach and his dad was a preacher
Do the live version where they do this in an old country church with the choir. It's awesome!
Ronnie Dunn usually sings main vocals, like this one. Kicks Brooks was on the guitar and sings back up or harmony. Brooks sings lead in several.
Dunn is singing. Brookes plays guitar. True story by Dunn.
When you said about crying saying about preying for someone that you have fillings dies for there's no way to do that if you notice one black other white that is saying love has no color
If you like them, they have a few songs with Reba that you need to hear. IMO B&D and Reba are the best duets of all time.
"Waiting On A Woman" by Brad Paisley. You must watch it & react. That's all I'm going to say.
The original video too. With Andy Griffith
This makes my soul rise up❤
They have some fun songs too.
