I went to elementary school there from 1988-1991. Ran for PE on the old flight line. There was a defunct bomb shelter near our house we would dare each other to climb in but no one was brave enough.
@@ExploringwithAustinandThomas I am thinking of going in and having a fare well tour but it makes me sad had so many good times there aswel as the history. I was up there when they made a film called devil's chair got chased alot those few days we was above the film crew in the loft 😇😅
Love Upwood!!! being local ive been exploring Upwood since 2003(ish) when it was still mint. Big shame they allowed it to get trashed. LOADS more in the area, RAF Warboys bloodhound missile range finder&ww2 hospital/RAF Wyton bomb store/photo labs
@@ExploringwithAustinandThomas RAF Warboys still has a very rare mushroom shelter with a couple of underground command bunkers, few random buildings used by the farmer what was part of the bloodhound, across the road(A141) in the middle of the farmers field is the hospital hidden in the trees&bushes.
Shameful waste! When so many people need housing . I used to drive past her regularly on my way from Peterborough to Chatteris in the 80s and 90s !! When the base was still in use (partly ) and the buildings were still in good condition !
Cheers mate! They haven't got rid of anymore since 2021, I'm not sure why, there were a few buildings removed back then, but then they just stopped 🧐 We did see activity but it was just them fixing the road that runs into the housing estate.
Woah! Was just at Upwood (The 19th) and went with a good friend of mine, was quite shocked at how much was left despite more than half being demolished. Still takes quite a while to explore, I'm quite sad that both decontamination have gone and the work services and water tower have met the same fate. Can't wait for your video!
Thanks for looking 😎it seems 2020 was a great time to visit Upwood, a lot of buildings still in place from what I've seen in previously videos, it seems we keep going to the same places 😄 I suppose it makes sense if we are all from around the same area 😄
@@ExploringwithAustinandThomas Must be pretty local! For me Upwood has always been the place to explore. I remember wondering around when it was a fully complete site. It was weird revisiting it at a older age, a sense of nostalgia. Makes me think what people stationed here must feel about Upwood today.
Great video, guys. Thank you both for meeting up with us. we had an amazing day, and we will catch up again 😎 again. Thank you for showing us around UPWOOD 👍 you guys are 👌
I can tell as when I am going through the footage Lol 😆 we were especially me. It was just the excitement! And you do your videos the way you do them, dude it's your style! And I love the way you put it together 👌 and that is on everyone I've watched. With me, it's about 30 minutes long as it's an adventure for us. But I like to change it as time goes on. 👍😎
Sorry, this is for Thomas as he does an amazing job and has a good heart and passion for what he does. Both of you do. And Riley-James say a big thank you. He loved you saying his fall name as a lot of people around him doesn't. He was over the moon, dude 👍
@@ConqueredAdventuresReally pleased Riley-james liked it, it's a new thing for Thomas as he's always been the young one but now he's the older one 🤣 he said that Riley-James starting talking a lot more once they started looking round and relaxed which was great 😃 I actually like longer videos so yours will be good to watch 👍

Have you explored the Cold War Hospital. It was in some of the hangars and nearby buildings, repurposed.
The hangers are in private use by a Engineering company. @@ianddavidson1
