Love that you check out what's current in clothing just to see if it has caught up with your style! You know who you are and what your style is and how you want to look, which gives you confidence. This was such a great video, I often have difficulty figuring out what to wear when the season changes. Even though my wardrobe has good elements, many items similar to what you showed in this video, it's not always easy for me to put things together. You have great style!
Hello Ruth, thank you so much for your sweet and kind comment. I really appreciate it. In terms of styling your clothes for different seasons or being stuck in a style rut, my best friend is Pinterest. I have a few boards that I always go back to. Sometimes I need some inspiration about the colour combination, sometimes layering or proportion. It always gives me lots of ideas. You could also use a Freeform (which I believe is a tool on all apple products) to paste all the photos you have and use a mood board🥰😊
As always, impeccable taste, and now that you are closer to the camera while you talk to us is perfect. Love your videos, always with so classy and elegant outfits! 🌹🌸🏵
Hello Areli and thank you so much for your lovely comment and useful observation. I’m trying to constantly improve my content and the quality of my videos🥰
Great video. You are so thoughtful about any new additions. I really appreciate the effort made to create a very useful and detailed video. Thanks for sharing x
Dear Tracy, thank you so so much for your lovely comment. Im really happy that you appreciate my effort. Focusing on quality and natural/eco materials while staying stylish is very important to me xxx🥰
My favorite lightweight sweaters are knitted silk, they’re perfect for the warmer months, but hard to find. When I see one I love, I try to snatch it up.
Perfect timing on a 53F degree day! - The 1st warm day in 4-5 months! Thanks for showing us so many casual elegant outfits. Also appreciate the links to the items you’ve mentioned.
Another really timely video . Mariola you should consider writing a book re :- fashion and style ! You are my visual style guide 😀😀.Look forward to the next one and thankyou for your content.
Hello Steve, thank you so so much for your support and kind comment. Your suggestion is definitely interesting and perhaps something I could consider 😊🙏🏼😘
Perfect video for this time of year when spring is around the corner. Your styling is perfect for me and I always get some ideas after watching you. You are so likable and you have an understated elegance about you. Thank you so much for doing this, and I look forward to your next video!
I love so much your channel and the way you represent things!!I'm trying to organize my closet and have a capsule wardrope, so your videos are so helfull!! You make me understand my style and to be able to fill the gaps!!
When you say: It's not my colour, do you refer to your preferences only, or maybe you've had some colour analysis done for you? Do you know what your colour palette really is? Are you Dark /Deep Winter? I wonder because generally you tend to choose cool tones, yet sometimes there's a pop of warm beige. I'd love that topic mentioned on your channel. Btw, what colour are your eyes? I look similar that's why I am relating :)
Hello Anna. Thank you for your comment. When I say “it’s not my colour” I mean it doesn't suit my skin undertone. I did have a mini colour analysis done a while ago, but I felt like I needed more in depth information, so I did my own research. I know now I am a Cool Winter and anything warm (especially beige) washes me out. But there is always a way around it: to wear a white tee, shirt or tank top near my face or just wear a warm colour trousers/skirt/shorts which are away from my face. I also tend to look better with high contrast, anything too muted and pastel doesn't do me a favour. My eyes are brown (we call it a beer colour😜). I hope that helps. In terms of videos on the subject I would need to think of a good way to present it, to show both cool and warm tones. Thank you for your suggestion🫶😊
Love watching these deep dives. I am in the SE in the states. Spring has sprung here. It's always short lived , not long enough for me Loved all the ideas and inspiration for these transitional looks. I definitely need to add a trenchcoat this year.💞.
Hello Diane, thank you so much for your comment. The graphic tee is from Jigsaw sample sale, which in this case means it’s a last year season piece. I tried to find it online but with no success. Hopefully you can find something equally nice😊
Dear Mariola, love your style so much. I found the same trench secondhand on ebay in M. I'm 1,65 m tall and normally wear size 36. Before I buy this coat, could you please help me? Which size do your wear in the uniqlo trench? It's the perfect fit. Kind regards from Bavaria, Sabine
Hello Sabine. Thank you so much for your support. I’m so happy you found this trench second hand. It’s a really lovely and well made coat. I’m 170cm and usually wear 36, my coat is size L, but I love oversize and don’t mind even if my coats are big. I hope it helps a little😊
@@SlowDownInStyle Thank you very much, Mariola! This helps me. Have a nice evening and thanks for the quick response! I'm looking forward to your next video. 🙂
Got it! :-) You are right, size L would be better, more oversize, I like how the coat looks on you, but the fit is okay. Thank you so much, Mariola. All the best, Sabine
Hi, I cannot find the link to the 04:10 knitted white blouse/t-shirt.... Maybe could you tell us what brand it is and even better give us a link ? None of the linked t-shirts looks like this one 😢 Thanks a lot !
Hello Christine, thank you for letting me know. These are all my own clothes that I wear on a daily basis and some of them, like this top, have been in my wardrobe for a while now. This panel t-shirt is from Jigsaw and I remember COS had similar tops before. If I find something similar I’ll let you know😊
Hello Maria. You’re right! modal is so great material. And Im all for shopping at mens department. It’s actually the first place I go at vintage shops 😊🫶
I don’t wear synthetic/plastic fibers, even in blends, either. Or plastic shoes or accessories. I do like plant-based Tencel and similar eco-friendly versions of rayon, but no plastics! Tencel is a good cruelty-free alternative, I do feel guilty about wearing so much silk, but I think it’s the most comfortable fiber, by far. I find synthetics/plastics, extremely uncomfortable, irritating and they always look super-cheap, too. I can spot acrylic and polyester at a glance now, usually. If a brand skimps on fabric quality, they skimp on construction, too. They spend millions trying to convince us otherwise, but there is never any reason to add polyester, acrylic, nylon (polyamide), etc., the only reason is to reduce their cost and so, increase their profits. They should spend that money on better fabrics, instead, I don’t want to be compressed all the time and it’s a battle to get clothes with elastane on and off, who needs that? I just received a top from a brand that sells itself on its silks, and it has 20% nylon, how disappointing. It’s short-sleeved, so I don’t think I could actually wear it in weather warm enough to allow short sleeves. Synthetics have zero breathability and the fibers are sharp-edged, they cut into the skin. Natural fibers are more rounded and smooth, and highly breathable. This might not seem very important when young, but once a woman is in her 40s, breathability is the most important characteristic of fabrics. Our bodies simply can’t regulate our temperature as well after estrogen starts declining. Also, allergies to synthetics, like mine, develop over time after repeated exposure, they’re not uncommon. I’ve had to give up fast-fashion, even their natural fibers are poor quality, super-thin and don’t perform or look good.
Hello Kimberly, You’re so right about the natural fabrics. I try to completely eliminate synthetics from my life, but sometimes I fail (usually when the more sustainable brands don’t have the style I’m looking for). And to be honest I feel guilty, which I think it’s a good thing, because that feeling makes me strive for better😁😘
Hello Dear! thank you so much for your comment. These sandals are pretty old actually (around 3 years). I cannot remember the brand, but I found a similar pair at Dune.
